About this apartment rental

Upon entering you will find a stylish one bedroom one bath condo that was fully renovated in 2023. This renovated property features spectacular views of the ocean located across the street. The new kitchen, dining room, and living room have everything you’ll need for your Beach Holiday. You will find a kitchen that has all you need to prepare a light snack or full meal. A cozy electric fireplace with a large 43 inch television with streaming content. An area with a desk is provided should you need a little work space during your stay. There is one large bedroom with a cozy queen size bed and a queen size sofa bed in the living room accommodates two extra guests. There are a myriad of options for outdoor living; patios with Adirondack chairs for lounging, and small tables for outside eating. In addition to the patios there are plenty of outside shared amenity spaces. There’s a covered gazebo with a state of the art barbecue, a fish cleaning station in the back of the property for those that like to go fishing, clamming, or crabbing and a wood fire pit by the creek. Please note we do not supply firewood but it can be purchased at the corner store. Behind the property is Terrill Creek so relax in one of the chairs provided and listen to the saltwater creek. You may even see an otter or two swim by.
Palmetto Shore hosts 5 units in total and the entire property can be rented out for a business retreat, friends get away, or large family vacation. It will host 20 people in total if your rent all 5 units.

The neighborhood is charming and full of little seaside cottages. It is possible to walk for miles on the beach, to the Birch Bay State Park. Birch Bay State Park is a 194-acre Washington state park located nine miles south of Blaine in Whatcom County. The park has 8,255 feet of saltwater shoreline on Birch Bay and 15,000 feet of freshwater shoreline along Terrell Creek. Check out our guide to the area. There is also a boat launch at the Park.
You can rent bikes or bring your own and because you are across the street from the public beach access it is a perfect place to launch your kayak or paddle board. A small grocery store, fun beach bars, fabulous coffee shop, restaurants, and a liquor store are a short drive away, bike ride or walkable. Just a little over a mile each way. The Semiahmoo resort and marina and the little town of Blaine Washington are minutes away. Birch Bay is best known for the many Summer events, amazing sunsets, crabbing and beach combing. We booked this condo when all else was full. We were VERY pleasantly surprised!! Great sweet unit!! There is beach access right across the street and there was a view from our upstairs unit. We loved the decor in the unit, very soothing, ocean . The unit had been recently upgraded or very lovingly cared for . Kitchen all set, might recommend an updated coffee maker . I loved the simple grounds with adirondeck chairs, bbq, shuffle board game. Birch Bay has a little bit of traffic sounds but it didnt really bother us, winds down early. This building is in the less busy part of Birch Bay though. Only other suggestion is maybe more bbq grate cleaning between uses or an updated bbq unit but we got it working . Good to be aware pretty sure unit does not have AC. Got bit warm our first day but once we opened windows we almost always had awesome water breezes blow through that did the trick .

Totally enjoyed our 4 night stay at Palmetto Shores. It's located at the south end of Birch Bay away from the "hubbub" of being closer to the center of town. A public access area directly across from Palmetto Shores was very convenient. Good View. Very comfortable.

This is a great spot right across the street from the beach. Fabulous views from the living and dining room windows. Clean, reasonably well-equipped and very pleasant. Host was super helpful. Only negative: for some reason the code they gave us for the laundry room didn’t work for us.
