Our secluded backyard offers an excellent space to relax, gather with loved ones, or enjoy our outdoor swing. On the main level, you will find a bedroom with a queen bed, desk, and chair, a full bath, a washer and dryer, a gas fireplace, a smart TV, and a fully equipped kitchen (everything you will need, from baking sheets, cookware, toaster, to sharp knives, etc.). The second floor has two additional bedrooms (one with a king bed and one with two twin beds) and a full bath.

Wendy was an absolutely terrific host. She was so communicative right from booking, providing every detail we needed! We were very impressed with her thoughtfulness with the little touches around the house. The house itself was very clean and inviting. Our favorite highlights were trying many of the family games provided, watching the deer from the screened-in porch, and walking to the beach. Absolutely would reccomend this rental to everyone, and would love to stay again!

Our week at the Douglas cottage was great. The location a few blocks fromLake Michigan makes it easy to access the beach and Lakeshore drive for sunset walks. The cottage is very comfortable and amenities are well stocked. Communication with owner excellent. Thank you Wendy!

If you are looking for a comfortable and clean home to rent, that's very close to Lake Michigan, this is the one! We loved the front porch, comfortable beds and private back yard. Owners are very communicative and nice to work with :=) Our family of 4 will definitely be back!

We loved the cottage, everything was just as it was pictured online. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with the basics. We appreciated the beach supplies (towels, wagon, etc) and the cupboard full of games. The neighborhood was quiet and so very quaint, with deer roaming around. And the location was perfect, close to Douglas and a few minutes walk to the beach. I highly recommend !

Enjoyed a perfect week of Summer Vacation at this adorable Douglas/Saugatuck cottage! Located a couple blocks away from beautiful Lake Michigan Beach. Clean, updated, beach decor. Every detail considered from fully equipped kitchen to beach towels, beach chairs, fire pit and best of all, large screened in front porch. Enjoyed great restaurants, bike rides, walks, dune ride, shopping, art galleries and best of all relaxing on the beach. Will definitely be back for super relaxing family time.

First of all, Wendy is an incredible host. Communications were abundant, clear and transparent. Second, the house is beyond darling. The layout, the furnishings, the decor - all 10 out of 10. Everything is so well thought out with every need considered and accommodated. Third, the location is ideal. The house is on a very quiet street and is an easy walk to Douglas Beach It’s a very short drive (or longer walk) to downtown Douglas or even over to Saugatuck. We absolutely didn’t want to leave and we cannot wait to return. We will definitely stay in this home again when we visit the area. Do yourself a favor and book this rental for your trip!!

Had a lovely time at the White House. Wendy is a very responsive host and took care of us very well during our stay. The house was immaculate and right near the beaches and downtown. The coffee shop down the road had the best coffee. We will definitely be back to visit again!

This place is so much better in person than the pics give it justice for. Oval beach is so close and beautiful! Home was so clean and comfy with all the amenities of home.

The house was exactly what we were looking for. It was a perfect blend of vacation cottage but updated with all the modern top line amenities of home. The location was awesome, on a quiet dead end street, walking distance to a great little neighborhood beach and only a short drive to all the restaurants in Saugatuck, Oval Beach, downtown Douglas, etc. There was only 3 of us, but the house is nicely set up for 6 (actual beds for everyone). The host reached out prior to our visit to ask if we needed anything else before our stay, which was a super nice touch. We will definitely be back next time we're looking for a relaxing beach vacation.

The house is amazing. It still has a new smell and everything was spotless. The screened in front porch has wicker furniture which I thought was very comfortable and I loved sitting on it especially in the morning when the sun was shining on me. I took a photograph of the northern lights through the skylight from the very comfortable king bed. I didn’t cook while I was there but the kitchen was very stocked. It even had ziplock bags, parchment paper and much more. I just can’t say enough good things about this house. Also, I was going to the tulip festival and I had heard that all the tulips were all gone already. Wendy knew I was disappointed about that and left me tulips in the kitchen because she wanted to make sure I could enjoy some tulips while I was there. That says she goes above and beyond. I hope I can go back one day and stay longer.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful VRBO, and it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by charm and warmth that instantly made us feel at home. The interior is beautifully decorated, with lovely color palettes. Natural light floods the space, there are even skylights in the bedrooms where you can see the stars. The fireplace truly adds a cozy touch, perfect for sitting near together at night. The bedrooms have wonderful mattresses and bedding. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the cupboard of games. We really liked the personalized touch in the bathrooms – the baskets filled with personal items labeled "in case you forgot" were a thoughtful gesture that didn't go unnoticed. Every time we glanced out the window, we were greeted by the sight of deer roaming nearby, This only added to the charm of this rental. Location-wise, this VRBO couldn't be better situated. Close to the water and the cities of Douglas, Saugatuck, and Holland. We will definitely stay here again!!!
