Some original touches, like the marble sinks dating back to 1896, add a touch of history and charm to the modernized comforts of the home. The kitchen stands ready to cater to culinary desires, equipped with an assortment of gadgets and tools, alongside an outdoor grill for alfresco dining enthusiasts.

Outside, discover multiple retreat spots scattered across the expansive grounds, from the serene wrap-around porch adorned with inviting rockers and a swing, to the secluded hammock corner perfect for leisurely afternoons. The coop houses more than 20 free-range chicken, roosters, and guinea fowl who do occasionally produce fresh farm eggs. Wander through the neighboring Tryon Farm Institute's lush surroundings, with over 170 acres of hiking paths, woodlands, wetlands, and dunes awaiting exploration.
For special occasions, GW's offers a versatile venue, having hosted everything from intimate family gatherings to grand wedding receptions. Guests must coordinate larger gatherings & events with the property management team to ensure a seamless and memorable celebration. Additional charges may apply.
Additional amenities include a Sonos Bluetooth whole-house sound system, a 75" HDTV with an array of streaming options, and a record player for nostalgic entertainment. Long-term stays and pets are welcome, with designated guidelines in place to ensure a harmonious experience for all.

Smoking is not permitted in the house or porches
Fireworks are not permitted at all on property
Guest are not permitted in the Chicken Coop unless accompanied by property manager. Please be aware that chicken range freely, and may occasionally fly the coop.
Firewood is not provided, but nearby stores offer it year-round.
Quiet Hours are between 10:30pm - 8am. There are neighbors on surrounding properties, and sound can carry.
GW's rents with a 2-night minimum in off-season, and a 3-night minimum in peak season and on holidays.
