About this apartment rental
Our "Ocean Blue Paradise" is a BEACHFRONT condo with a beautiful, unobstructed OCEANFRONT view. On a quiet, sandy beach just steps away. Our beach is reef protected, meaning the waves break offshore, so the ones coming onto the beach are usually pretty calm. Making our part of the ocean good for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, and fishing. It's especially good for small children.
You can often see big sea turtles sleeping on the beach, and swimming by. We enjoy beautiful sunrises in the morning, rainbows during the day, and moon rises at night. During whale season (November-April), we often see whales in the distance spouting and breaching. We love to sit on the lanai and watch the splendor the ocean has to offer us. One of our favorite things to do is snorkel right off our beach. We often swim with sea turtles who are feeding on the coral just off shore. We also love seeing the turtles sleeping on the beach during our nightly walks. Just be sure to be quiet, keep your distance, and don't shine a flashlight or use a flash when taking pictures.
Our condo is in a complex that sits on a quiet, sandy beach. There is no public beach access thru our property, so there are times when you practically have it all to yourself! Our complex is located on what they call the windward side of the island. We're halfway between Kualoa Ranch and the Polynesian Cultural Center, about 10 minutes from each one. We are away from all the traffic and congestion of Honolulu, in what they call the "true country" of Oahu. Yet we are still centrally located to many popular tourist attractions. You can hang out on our beach, or go to one of the many beaches or other destinations within 10-15 minutes of us. If you do decide to go to Honolulu, it is just a beautiful 45 minute drive, through the mountains and along the coastline, with many scenic spots along the way. We think you would come to love it on our side of the island as much as we do. Many of our guests, who have split their vacations with some nights in Honolulu and some in our condo, have told us they wish they would have just stayed in here the whole time. That, of course, makes us feel really good!
Our Ocean Blue Paradise is truly our idea of Paradise! Hopefully, it will become your Paradise, too! Many people have told us we have one of the best locations in the building because of our unobstructed view of the ocean, palm trees, and beach. Which you will have practically all to yourself, because there is no public beach access. The pool area is also just for residents, so it's usually pretty quiet. You will have ''No Worries'' as the locals say...only to decide if you are going to spend the day on the beautiful beach outside, or go for a scenic drive along the coast to do some sightseeing. We have a true 1-bedroom (not the small sleeping alcove some call a bedroom).
We hope you to enjoy our Ocean Blue Paradise, and come to love it as much as we do. Our goal is to have you walk in, take one look at the gorgeous ocean view, feel the Trade Winds blowing through, listen to the waves... and immediately relax & let all your stress start melting away. Close your eyes and imagine it now.... doesn't it sound wonderful?
We just purchased this condo and spent several months remodeling it. The kitchen was the most time consuming, but it was worth it because it was a labor of love. We just finished remodeling the whole condo, almost everything is new! We have new SS appliances, washer/dryer, cabinets, quartz counter tops, furniture, mattresses, linens, dishes, silverware, cookware, beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, a cooler, and much more. We also redid the bathroom by taking out the tub and replacing it with a beautiful walk-in shower.
We offer free high speed wireless internet(WiFi) and a free assigned parking place. We've tried to stock our condo with everything we could think of that you might want to make your stay in Paradise very enjoyable. Our policy is to try to give you with all the supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, regular soap, dish soap, laundry soap, etc) you will need for your whole stay, not just the starter packs most owners leave. We also try to keep a good supply of condiments, spices, snorkel gear, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and kid's beach toys on hand for you to use.
Even though you do not come on vacation to cook, I think you'll find you can save a lot of money by using our remodeled kitchen. And while you're cooking, you can look right out to the ocean and listen to the waves. It is fully equipped with whatever you should want to prepare a full meal, or to just make a picnic lunch to take with you on a sightseeing trip. We even have a cooler for you to put it in!
There are a few things we want to be sure you NOTICE, because the only surprises we want you to have are good ones:
1- THE BUILDING IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING SOME MAJOR RENOVATIONS. We want to be sure to tell you right from the start about the POSSIBLE CONSTRUCTION NOISE on weekdays, Mon-Fri from 9am-4:30pm (excluding Holidays). Most guests say it's not too much of an inconvenience because they are either gone sightseeing, or are out on the beach, during the day anyway. Due of the building's construction, you'll save money since we've discounted our prices lower than they normally would be.
2- There is an ADDITIONAL ONE-TIME $150 CLEANING FEE to be paid directly to our cleaning lady when the final payment is made.
3- We DON'T HAVE AIR CONDITIONING, neither do most of the condos in our building. Usually the trade winds blow through the condo so well that we are very comfortable without AC. We do have ceiling fans and a pedestal fans in the condo. But their are times when the trades do die down and it gets warm, especially in the Summer. Just want to be sure you have considered that.
Our condo will comfortably sleep up to 4 adults and 1 child (our third seeping spot is a twin size 3" foam throw down futon). Guests tell us they love being able to hear the ocean waves at night from our second bed, the queen-size murphy bed, because it's on the ocean side of the condo. We also have a king-size bed in the bedroom, which is on the mountainside of the condo. We love to sleep on the Murphy bed in the living room ourselves so the waves can lull us to sleep.
We have lots of dresser, closet, and cabinet space, so you will be able to unpack your suitcases and make yourself at home. We know some of you like to fall asleep listening to the TV, so we have one in the bedroom and one in the living room. We've tried to stock our vacation home with all the things we enjoy when we are traveling. You'll have the choice to sleep in the bedroom on the king size plush bed, or in the front room listening to the waves and waking up to see the Sunrise from the Murphy Bed. Then a child could sleep on the twin size futon, but it probably would not be comfortable for a teen. There is almost always a nice breeze blowing through the condo due to the trade winds, but for those who like a fan...we have ceiling fans with remotes and a pedestal fan.
We've hired the best cleaning person in the building so our guests can be assured the condo will be freshly cleaned and ready for you to enjoy. Whether this is your first trip to Paradise, or you are a return visitor, we think you would also find the binder we have put together very helpful. It shows local restaurants, grocery stores, churches, shopping, and has tips of things to do. We also have a map, a Hawaii guidebook, and some coupon books to help you.
If this all sounds good to you, and you are become our guests in our Ocean Blue Paradise, we hope you'll come to think of the condo as "Your" Paradise, too!! We hope you have a great time in Paradise and make some wonderful memories. Remember "What happens in Hawaii....... stays with you forever"!! Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
Our address is 53-567 Kamehameha Hwy., Hauula, HI. Our complex is a NUC exempt property. 30-day minimum rental.
We also have a 3 bedroom/2 bath condo in the Fort Morgan Area of Gulf Shores, Alabama. You can see it at vrbo.com/3013440

We had an incredible stay. We loved the location and the beautiful beach! The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. There were many thoughtful touches throughout the condo. It was very easy to check-in and get around the grounds. We would go out and explore other areas but you really do have it all here. No need to leave! The beach is just so perfect! We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and listening to the sound of the waves. My husband and I had the best time and can't wait to return!

We would definitely stay here again! The condo was beautiful, well-equipped, and very clean. We loved the beach! It was the best beach we visited.

Loved our experience here. The private beach was so nice. The proximity to other destinations on the island w/o being near Waikiki was perfect. The condo was clean & well- stocked with anything & everything we might need. The owners were super cool & helpful.

This property has been the best we have seen at VRBO - not just because of the beachfront location and overall cleanliness - but because of the little things that really helped us feel at home: full sized soap, high end appliances, tupperware/baggies, beach towels/toys, and all kinds of helpful information. This property owner is a gem. Thank you Chris and Al!

The best place we have ever stayed on Oahu! The condo is beautiful and when you walk thru the doorway and look straight ahead out the balcony doors the view is breathtaking! The condo is right on the beach and the beach seems private even though all the beaches in Hawaii are public. We watched giant sea turtles swim right by us in the water. The swimming area is safe as there is a coral reef for snorkeling and the waves break about 300 yards off the shore. Only turtles and pretty fish! The condo was beautifully decorated and had everything we could have needed or wanted. We love the location of the condo on the island. The North Shore of Oahu is the best hands down! We enjoyed horse back riding, hiking, and eating out at some great restaurants. We did not turn on the TV the entire time we were at the condo. Just sitting and looking out at the water was food for the soul! We will be back for sure as we go to Hawaii every 2 years for business.

Chris and Al didn’t miss a thing while setting this place up for guests! Every single thing you need is on site for a magical Hawaiian beachfront vacation. The sea turtles were over the top! They swam along side us, beached themselves for an afternoon nap right outside the condo, and slept in mass at night a very short walk up the beach. It was our first stay on the windward side of the island and is now our preferred place to stay. You greet the sunrise from the lanai with coffee and can take a short drive to have a sunset dinner. We explored the entire island and felt we were centrally located. You can not go wrong staying here!

The host was outstanding! Best stocked vacation home. Loved seeing so many turtles and being on a private beach. We will return.

Place had everything and move than needed.
Beautifully remodeled.
Great Sunrise each morning.

The condo was great! Right on the beach. The owner was awesome and we had a great stay. Seeing the turtles on the beach at night was the coolest thing ever! One heads up for anyone traveling to Oahu is that the traffic is unreal! We deal with Denver traffic but this is on a whole different level. Make sure to plan for extra time to get anywhere! Also, the little store, Kaya's, like a block away from the condo is nice and they have quite a bit of stuff. Mahalo!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this condo in Punaluu! The location was nothing short of breathtaking, with stunning views and a serene atmosphere that made for a truly relaxing vacation.
The hosts were fantastic communicators, always quick to respond and incredibly helpful with any questions we had. Their hospitality really made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
The condo itself was spotless and newly remodeled, boasting all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. From a well-equipped kitchen to cozy living spaces, everything was designed with comfort and convenience in mind.
The building was quiet and peaceful, providing the perfect backdrop for a restful getaway. We especially enjoyed the delicious food carts just across the street, offering a variety of tasty options that added a local flavor to our stay.
The condo’s location was ideal, being just a 40-minute drive to both the North Shore and Honolulu, making it easy to explore all that the island has to offer.
Overall, this condo in Punaluu exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay in Hawaii. We can't wait to come back!

Absolutely will be coming back. The condo is beautifully decorated. The beds and linen were so comfortable, even the Murphy bed where you can sleep listening to the waves crashing. The backsplash is gorgeous. Soft close cabinets and everything you need to cook your favorite meals. The location is also just as perfect. Close to Kualoa Ranch, Polynesian Cultural Center, North Shore beaches and most importantly the beach right outside your door. We saw turtles throughout the day swimming by and saw some at night hanging on the beach. Beach gear was also an added touch including a hard cooler, chairs and towels; there is snorkel gear as well. We were sad to leave and will def be returning. Chris and Al were great hosts reaching out before and after our stay.

We had a terrible experience with a place on the other site that provides similar services as vrbo who cancelled our stay the day before our wedding and we had to scramble to find a place to stay and decided to go with this place on Vrbo! Thankful for the last minute opening! Place was adorable and being on the first floor, steps to the beach was great for the 10 days we stayed! There is construction going on but we were warned about that before we booked! Living in the city back at home, the noises didn’t bother us at all, very use to it haha!

From the road the property looks a bit rundown, but the view out the back is breathtaking. The room itself was exactly as listed and we have zero complaints. Owners/managers were great to work with.

This ground level condo was perfect if you want to walk out the glass slider for 20 yards have the beach at your toes! Our youngest daughter was accepted into the UH business program and we wanted to give her the experience of the entire island. The constant breeze and relaxing sound of the waves at all times is awesome. The location on the windward side where you can get local food from food vans is unique. If you want to see how many locals live, this is a good location. Make it a point to go to the town and beaches around Halewia. Really neat area. Also the public beaches alongside the beautiful resort at Turtle Bay are a must see, especially for a sunset drink or dinner. Wow! Overall, the stay was perfect and the amenities provided in the condo are so helpful. The Murphy bed slept 2 teenage sisters well. Walk about 100 yds down the road and have a smoothie, shrimp plate, or coconut water drink straight from a freshly cut coconut. Local delights abound. We would stay here again for our next trip to north shore. Thank you!

It doesn’t look great from the outside but once inside it’s great. The place and being able to walk straight out to the beach and see the turtles!!!
They are doing a fair bit of construction spring ‘22.

What a perfect vacation--quiet, peaceful, surrounded by beauty and amenities but never in a hurry to leave the condo! We enjoyed a few meals out, went to Kualoa Ranch, close and gorgeous with a plethora of history. But honestly, our preference was cooking (great fruit and pineapple) and sitting by the beach into the late hours of the night with the breeze and listening to the waves. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise!

The condo had amazing ocean views and amazing sunrises.
It had everything for cooking and ample towels, sheets, comfortable pillows and beach supplies. The "Murphy" bed was so comfortable and you can hear the ocean waves. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend this condo.

Private Beach! So you walk out onto your lanai and literally 25 steps to the beach. A beach that has hardly anyone on it. You are on the windward side of the island so it was very breezy, almost too breezy to enjoy the water with little kids. That being said how often can you find a place where you are the only person taking a morning swim in the warm ocean? Not super great for snorkeling. Right by the pool, don't have to deal with an elevator, quiet, nicely decorated. We cooked a lot of breakfasts and a few dinners, but if you don't want to cook just walk across the street to the food trucks. OMG.....try each one...really...or head up the coast 10 minutes to the Polynesian Cultural Center... or Papa Ole's...it's a really central location on the North Coast. There's no AC so if you are OK with fans it's awesome when the trade winds are blowing. The septic system on the road side of the building was pretty off putting in the parking lot. It was not a problem on the beach side but we had to close the front door a few times. The owners of this condo are AWESOME and really helpful. I would stay here again just because they were so cool. The parking spot right next to the condo was a plus as well as visible security.

Just beautiful! Loved walking out from our patio directly on to the grass and then just on to the beautiful beach. The interior of the condo has everything you could possibly need for a beach stay. A huge closet housed nice Tommy Bahamas's beach chairs, beach umbrella, several sizes of snorkels and fins, beach towels, 6 boogie boards of all sizes, large cooler, small cooler, ice packs, beach bags, even a few sun visors. The appliances were high end and in great condition. The kitchen was better stocked than my own. Travel mugs for coffee was a great touch. The condo is updated with a great shower and solid counters with first class decor. We loved having an almost new washer and dryer and fast wi-fi. There are nice quality comfortable lanai lounge chairs, too. Plenty of useful information was set out on local places to go, and what to see. The very awarded shrimp truck (Aloha Shrimp) is so close you can walk there in 5 minutes. We saw a big turtle as we walked out on to "our" beach within minutes of our arrival. Our beach was beautiful and sandy, and the water was so clear!
If you are looking for a resort/high rise stuffy type place, this is not it. This is a more local, relaxed, traditional Hawaiian atmosphere. This complex is an older one, and it shows when driving up, but stepping in to the renovated condo itself will erase any doubt. You may possibly hear voices in the hallway when you are in the bedroom because the bedroom window is in area where the mailboxes are. In my opinion, the other great qualities of this place totally make up for any voices you may hear while you are in the bedroom.
We loved our stay and it felt like our little piece of paradise🌺
Chris was helpful, enthusiastic and easy to work with, too!

Location, location, location! If you're staying on Oahu and not wanting the hustle and bustle of the Honolulu traffic, this is an excellent option. It is closely located to a few major tourist attractions! Kualoa Ranch is just down the road 15 minutes. The Polynesian Cultural Center is up the road 10 minutes. The Dole Plantation is a scenic drive on the Northern part of the Island. We drove to Honolulu to catch our bus tour for Pear Harbor, the traffic is equitable to Chicago traffic. :( The Sea Life Park was a disappointment, while we did swim with the dolphins, the rest of the park was below par. Several exhibits were closed and the schedule of exhibits opening was NOT on time. Don't waste your money...unless you're going to swim with the dolphins.
The condo is well maintained and easily accessible. The downfall, if you need air conditioning this is not for you; however, when the trade winds are blowing, there is wonderful air movement. It's tropical :)

We had an amazing stay at this beachfront condo. This was our first big trip with our 19 month old son and I am so glad we chose to stay here. Every morning we watched the sunrise from our patio and our son could run around in the grass having a blast chasing the birds. The beach was perfect for us and the pool was great too. Having the beach toys and body boards and stuff to use was fantastic. The area around the property is quiet and laid back and it was super close to drive to places on the north shore. We just had a blast!

What a wonderful time! First time my fiance had been to Hawaii (I lived there) and this place was great! Kathe (prop mgr) and Don (security) were great! While the beach isn't too wide, it is very quiet! Great place to stay away from the crowds of Waikiki but in a location that you can drive around the island to go to the different places like Pearl Harbor, Swap Meet, Northshore, etc. VERY close to the Polynesian Cultural Center which I highly recommend going to!
The kitchen was great! It had everything we needed and then some! It allowed us to cook at home and enjoy meals out on the lanai! It was really nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit - allowed us to wash everything before leaving. While it doesn't have a/c, the jalousie windows allow for a breeze to blow through the condo keeping it very nice - even when we had some Kona winds! So close to the beach, we were lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the waves...
Thank you Chris for sharing your "little piece of paradise" with us - it was everything you promised it would be!

Well equiped clean and great outlook over sea and walk straight onto lawn and beach.
Terrific service and information from owners and letting agent.
Quite part of island and near to North Shore and many other attractions in area.

This place is truly the best kept secret on Oahu.
This was our 2nd trip, having stayed here before in 2014 with our kids, we were excited to return for an adults only trip. Just 10-30 minutes from the legendary North Shore Beaches, Turtle Bay, and the Polynesian Cultural Center, this spot is centrally located to a number of key points of interest. The north shore surfing was pumping, and waves reached a maximum height of 18 feet.
Pat's at Punaluu is a little slice of beachfront heaven on the rural northern windward side of the island, just 45 minutes from Honolulu. I was more then delighted when we took the scenic drive from Honolulu to the other side of the island thru Kaneohe, Kahuluu, & Kahana, which placed us in the heart of some of the most lush and picturesque countryside, passing film locations , such as Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, & Karate Kid Part II. There are photo opportunities at every turn in the road, on the way to the condo. The condo was well appointed, clean, and had everything we needed, including a walkout view of the ocean, which was ideally located with access to the blender for mixing cocktails during those lazy days on the lounge chair (just steps from the patio).
Punaluu is slightly cooler then the steamy leeward side of the island, due to the tradewinds and therefore is far more comfortable on days, when we wanted to stay out of the scorching sun and just lounge around. The beach is very calm and serene, with minimal waves, making it a very safe beach for families.
Our favorite excursion were a massage scheduled with the help of Chris & Al by a local in a nearbye town and Captain Bob's Sandbar Snorkel Cruise, out of Heeia Harbor (Kaneohe).
We will definately be back!

Everything you will need! Close enough to Waikiki and tourist attractions, yet come home to the country! We stayed 7 days.. The murphy bed was a blessing having the winds run through the condo and keep us cool! We were celebrating my boyfriends 53 birthday! We were so impressed staying here, we are coming back in May to celebrate MY 55 birthday not for 7 days but 14!! You will NOT be disappointed staying here!! Having a private beach right outside your patio every day and the sun rises are simply amazing!! A five star condo rental while in Oahu!
