Beautiful 2 story beach front house with ground floor Patio and Sand Bar. Home is located on the exclusive North Captiva Island, where a short scenic Ferry trip is needed to bring you to the island. It is truly an unspoiled paradise where golf carts rule. House has an open living/dining/kitchen plan with 1/2 bath on top floor and covered lanai for best ocean and Sunset views. The wrap around balconies of the home allow for both sunrise and sunset views. First floor has 3 bedrooms, master king bed suite with full bath, and 2 other bedrooms each with a queen and twin bed and a shared full bath. Each has access to covered screened in deck for ocean viewing and back deck for sunrise viewing also with wrap around balconies. Bottom floor is a covered, sand in your toes full beach bar area, including long bar with swing chairs, decking and couches, outdoor kitchen and enclosed shower. Steps to and from the beach in comfort while entertaining.

Great location with stunning sunsets. The house was as depicted, very comfortable and clean with great balconies for watching the sunset over the beach. Efficient air con, which was certainly needed!
We had some top up grocery shopping delivered part way through, a great service. A couple of minor issues were dealt with very quickly, thank you.
Overall a great stay.

My family and I stayed at Flip Flops for a week and my teens said that this was their favorite vacation! Flip flops is such a perfect place, right ON the breach! Sunsets from the porch, the beach, the patio, every single night. Best view ever! The bonus was that the Sea Turtle nest n the beach in front of the house had its babies emerge July 4th in the middle of the night and we were able to call the North Captiva Sea Turtle folks when we saw a baby sea turtle climbing out of the nest that next morning. We were able to watch two hatchlings go off into the ocean. The house is amazing and had everything you need, plenty of beach toys, noodles, cornhole, board games, so much entertainment! And we did the grocery order through the management company and all the food was put away for us when we arrived. 5 Stars for sure!!!

The house is excellent. Perfect for a couple and four teenagers. We arrived a couple hours before check-in and thought that we would spend some time on the island away from the house, but the property managers were great about picking us up at the dock and getting us right to the home.
We had pre-ordered groceries through the property managers, and they were at the home waiting for us to put away with plenty of dry ice when we arrived.
Multiple times through the week we had to order additional groceries and the process is easy and smooth. The house had a lot of spices already stocked. My advice is order the basics first then get there and see everything that’s there before you decide what you need to order as far as spices or plastic wraps. Since there weren’t many restaurants and we were staying at the house most of the time we went through much more food than I had anticipated. Pack lighter on clothing than usual and order more food than you think you need.
The only suggestion I would make is that a larger grill would be nice. It was challenging to cook for six people on the small grill provided. But the grill worked fine and cooked well.
The countertop icemaker was able to provide plenty of ice for us for the week.
There is not a lot to do on the island other than stay at the home and the beach, but it’s perfect for a relaxing week at the beach. The house had many beach chairs, toys, and beach games as well as cards and board games. Many beach towels provided.

This is our 12th trip to North Cap over the last 22 years and Flip Flips is among the best of the various homes we have rented! Great location, great beach and great condition. Very chill.

Flip Flops beach house had the best views from every room ( and from the 2 covered wrap around balconies ) on the island. Literally bottom floor beach Sand Bar on the beach !! Spectacular Sunsets and serenity, peace and harmony from the sounds of the surf. House is perfectly appointed for a comfortable stay from infants to young adults. You will not want to leave.

My husband and I truly enjoyed every moment in this beautiful home! Despite it being cooler outside than we hoped, the weather did not interrupt the peaceful setting and the beautiful sunsets! The property was fully equipped in the kitchen and there were beach chairs and umbrellas etc for outdoor activities as well! A great spot for the entire family to have a fun beach experience.

The home is perfect. Way more beautiful than the pictures online depict.
The kitchen is well appointed, the beds are comfortable and the upstairs living area is simply magnificent. If you want rest, relaxation or family fun, this is the place.
The island is not yet fully operational. That’s the one negative. We cooked everything night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely stunning sunsets and plenty of beach directly in front of house. We have stayed on the island several times and this was by far the most enjoyable. The house is perfect with everything you need for a perfect vacation.

This is the third time I have stayed in this house. It is a wonderful home and the best spot on the island!! It sits on a beautiful stretch of beach and beside the runway!! Always my first choice!! The inside is so nice and the outside seating is wonderful!! LOVE IT!!

Not very accommodating to your needs.Also serves at the pool and restaurant bar area were not helpful to visitor's focused more on the locals. It was a discussion that everyone was having that was there on vacation hanging out around the pool waiting on food and drinks. We needed a late check out at 12 instead of 9 they were not having it. We found the boat rentals and store for shopping to be great they were very friendly and helpful seemed happy to have your business unlike the restaurant bar area.

My family and I loved our vacation at Flip Flops. Everything was better than described! I’m so happy my family got to experience the laid back atmosphere and totally relax just steps from the beach. Shally’s was amazing with step by step instructions, getting our grocery order and delivering it, and helping us rent an additional golf cart. Everything you needed was already at the property to cook and clean, play, and relax next to the ocean. Loved all the wildlife as well!

Truly a spectacular getaway. Secluded Island living at its best with shell roads and no cars but gorgeous and comfortable home. We did not want for anything. Felt like Abacos in the Bahamas with its rustic charm. The food delivery service is quite convenient, and I highly recommend having the groceries provisioned prior to your arrival. Sea turtles nested at night and the beaches were white and pristine.

Where do I begin.. the experience was everything we could’ve asked for from the day we stepped onto the island to the day we left. We’ve stayed at several homes in north captiva and this house had the best views of the gulf and the closest to the water (panoramic views from the moment you stepped foot in the living area). the home was wonderfully remodeled after the storm and had everything you could possibly need. Charles the owner even ensured there would be no construction going on on nearby homes as the island is still going through reconstruction from hurricane Ian. Charles also coordinated for a wonderful chef (chef Billy) to come and cook us dinner at the house once we got to the island that was absolutely delicious. We had the most peaceful time with our two sons and would definitely stay here or at one of Charles island homes again as he was a wonderful host. My wife even forgot her iwatch at the house which the property managers shipped back to us within a few days. Highly recommend!

We just spent a week on North Captiva Island and Flip Flops was the perfect house and location. This was a first trip to the island for my family and I and it was amazing.
I was traveling with my husband and our 5 and 7 year old daughters. The property managers were helpful in providing all the links we needed to get a car service, best ferry to use, and had someone meet us at the dock to help with luggage and provide our golf cart. We used Debbie to shop our groceries/beverages and Yvena had them stocked upon our arrival - amazing service and worth every penny not to worry about bringing your own!
The house perfect - stocked with lots of towels, beach chairs, sand toys, and more. The wrap around decks were amazing. I loved waking up each morning to catch the sunrise on the east side of the third level deck. But the best was the amazing sunsets - we watched from the beach most nights, but was just as gorgeous from the decks of course. The bedroom level decks are screened in - perfect - my girls sat our there every morning for breakfast! We saw dolphins from the house daily - so fun - and loved taking walks to collect seashells. The Flip Flops Sandbar area was amazing. My girls' absolutely loved the swings and we ate many meals under there in the shade. Great that the kids could play there in the sand when they needed a break from the sun.
We took some golf cart rides to explore the island (amazing seeing the progress they have already made after such devastation), checked out the island manatee's, and took a few dips in the club pool at Mangos.
We can't say enough good things about Flip Flops and North Captiva Island. We certainty didn't want to leave and would love to come back someday!

Logistics of getting to North Captiva can be a little challenging but it really is a special place.
We really enjoyed Flip Flops…layout of the house was perfect for our group, was clean, and had everything we needed.
We all loved eating dinner while watching the sun set each night.
Highly recommend Captiva generally and this property specifically!

Best house on the beach! My young family and I stayed here for a week from 3/18 to 3/25. We learned upon arrival we were the first guests since Ian.
The property is absolutely gorgeous. Everything has been redone and it is furnished for comfort and is beautiful—better than the pre-Ian photos online. There were many nice touches including an excess of beach towels and linens, and an old school video game table my kiddos loved. The views are *unbelievable*. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, and one of the best and most relaxing vacations I have taken in my life.
We were nervous about coming to the island post Ian. We did have to drive past some FEMA workers to get to the pool, and there are homes on the island still under construction, but once we were at the property all that fell away (couldn’t even hear it) and we just felt like we were in paradise.
The property manager and owner were fantastic and really bent over backwards to make sure had everything we needed. Highly, highly recommend!

The house was in a great location, the beach access was the best. The house was prepared with all the activities for kids.
The staff responded super fast and brought me some medicine from mainland drugstore the following day which made the stay in the island very confortable.

My family and I stayed at Flip Flops recently for a long awaited reunion - our adult kids live all over the country and we were finally all able to be together. Flip Flops was perfect for us. I have to say, I was a little nervous before coming, reading the previous reviews and had been communicating with Jennifer about my concerns. I had no reason at all to worry ! The house was extremely clean, fresh linens, fully stocked and clean kitchen, full size washer and dryer and an abundance of beach towels and clean beach toys outside. You have to remember that this is an island and it is going to have insects and sand - that is part of nature.
We had so much fun having happy hour on the bar swings, watching the sunset from the screened in porch, playing paddle games, inner tubing. We even say sea turtles being hatched right by the house ! We took an excursion to Cabbage Key, had lunch and saw some dolphins. We bought a $75 membership to North Captiva Island Club and used their kayaks, saw manatees and swam in the pool twice.
Logistically, we did take the Island Girl Taxi from the airport, stopped at Publix to pick up food I had ordered on Instacart. We missed the lastPine Island ferry to North Captiva because our flight was delayed so we had to hire their private ferry (which was pricy) to get us and our food / luggage to the house. Yvena and her team were helpful and responsive for transportation to and from the house.
We had a great , relaxing vacation and our adult kids (30-21 years old) expressed repeatedly how grateful they were for such a relaxing trip; they really needed to decompress and Flip Flops was the perfect spot.

We knew when booking this property that it wasn’t a “luxury” property, but with the price, we feel like we deserved to stay in a clean property. The listing is correct when it says that you are 20 steps away from the water, but what they don’t tell you is that the side of the property that doesn’t have another property is where everyone from the island comes and parks their golf carts to set up chairs, tent, umbrellas all over the back of your property. The property management company was very responsive anytime we had a question. The restaurant’s on the island were terrible and extremely overpriced. The adult beverages tasted like water. Bring everything you can because the food mart is 3-4 times more expensive than a regular grocery store. Like other guests have said, the sulfur smell is enough to make you sick. Your clothes even smell strongly of sulfur after washing them. We will definitely not be returning to this property.

The location is amazing! Literally steps from the ocean is what made this paradise. However, there are cons to this property. I should point out, we received notice a few weeks before our arrival, the owners switched property management companies. This was also our first trip to the island. Upon arrival, the property management team was waiting for us at a different harbor. We unloaded from our boat and waited 15 minutes for them to arrive. When we went to leave, the property management company was 20 minutes late picking us up even after I text the day before to confirm what time they would arrive. We splurged and sent our grocery list to the property management company (the new one) 2 weeks before our arrival so that our groceries would be there before we arrived to the island. Unfortunately, several of our items did not arrive until 2 days later. We cancelled our seafood order because after being on the island for 2 days, we received a text from Yvena stating she didn’t know where to get the seafood we had ordered. As many have mentioned, the water smells awful. Imagine you are brushing your teeth with rotten eggs and that’s what you will experience each day. We knew this wasn’t a ‘luxury’ property and that was no problem. What we did have a problem with was the overall uncleanliness of the house. We experienced roaches, ants, bugs and even a rat. We couldn’t clean dishes in the dishwasher as the agitator was on top of the refrigerator. None of the dishes came out clean which probably explains why there were so many dirty dishes in the cabinet. We washed all of our dishes by hand but there was no sink stopper so we had to improvise. There were only 4 washcloths in the entire house. We had plenty of beach towels, chairs and toys which was great. The downstairs bar/swing area was great with the exception of one of the swings breaking on us. The AC on the floor with the bedrooms was not working when we arrived and was fixed right away. The sunsets were absolutely beautiful and we had the best seat in the house for them. We named the raccoon in the shower house Ricky the Raccoon and you will see him regularly above the shower house. Overall, we loved the island and the location of the house but wouldn’t stay in this house again due to the uncleanliness and lack of organization by the property management company.

The house and location were both great. The underdeck bar and swings were the best and biggest hit! I will definitely recommend to others snd return myself. The only negative thing was it could have been a little cleaner.
