Disappointing stay - wouldn’t recommend

This hotel looked good but then, almost in all areas, it fell apart. Here are the few good things I would rate: - executive lounge staff are exceptional! Staff are super attentive and worked very hard to make sure your glass was always filled. Food was terrible - microwave part pie style. Live music was a fantastic touch and the view was exceptional (especially at sunset) - pool area is beautiful and with a great view of the water - good location across the road from Galle face beach

The cons definitely outweighed the pros for this hotel. They still have a ways to go and this was exemplified by observing other guests constantly complaining to staff in all areas of the hotel (breakfast/checkin/pool): - BEWARE the 25% additional ‘tax’ they charge noted in the small print for each night - CONSTRUCTION on the second tower (still being built) that was not disclosed. Means that if you’re at the pool you’re dealing with heavy traffic noise (constant beeping etc) and construction noise - our floor (26) smelt like damp/mould for the duration - utterly foul. - pool bar staff were the most inefficient I have ever come across. We waited an hour for a sandwich and then were provided the wrong one. Our drinks also took 30mins when there were as any staff as people at the pool. Menu prices also don’t disclose an additional 25% tax on advertised prices. This was the only hotel in Sri Lanka that charged these fees. - breakfast was not opened on time and then basic things like tongs and labels were missing - no bedside power point. There are actually a lot of other practical things that I could list but you get the jist. For the same price as the Sangri-La up the street, your money is MUCH better spent there.

Ich wollte Zimmer wechseln, wurde abgelehnt.

Excellent experience, great hotel!

Excellent facilities and hospitality from all of the staff. Lovely place to stop over whilst you are stopping off in Colombo. Also great choice of food options within the hotel. The room was also large with every facility you could ask for.

Работа персонала на завтраке. На вопрос, где можно взять масла на бутерброд, переадресовывали раза четыре. Оказалось его надо заказывать ,сидя за столом. Чай черный даже не теплый. Попросил принести горячий, реакция ноль. Пришлось идти к главному менеджеру, только тогда появился чай. Чайную ложку так и не дождался, просил 2 раза. Размешивал сахар в чае ножом. Абсолютное не уважение к клиенту, под маской вежливой улыбки.

No gym,no indoor swimming pool,Some staff not Fully trained and don’t understand what u r asking. No staff know about 20%discount food &drinks With my room booking not setup on my room account!

Awesome view & the best location in Colombo

The hotel is new and nice. Most of the staff are very well trained and very hospitable.

Some of the staff members were so concerned about items not included in the discounts (Happy Hours or similar) that they were saying we could not get them (although we were willing to pay for them) :)

Amazing family stay in luxury

Amazing service and facilities. The staff were first class and everyone went over and above to make our stay enjoyable. Food and beverage was very good, the buffet breakfast had at least 4 X large stations representative of a different word cuisine. As it was our first time in Sri Lanka, the staff helped with some great spicy food and introduced us to egg hoppers. Thank-you Gayan for making us so welcome during meals and luxury hour, ensuring we had the best seat in the house! Loads or vegan and vegetarian options. Very comfortable clean rooms. The gym is very well appointed and has one of the most enthusiastic staff members who was genuinely interested in our health and fitness. (thank you Dulanajana) Every morning at breakfast a flute player, played enchanting music which was so relaxing and tranquil. Hotel security is good, all bags are screen (x rayed) outside. I wish I could remember everyone's name who made our stay so special.

The swimming pool on the bridge is not yet open, we were looking forward to swimming there. Had to wear long pants for luxury hour, the dress code was smart casual, which I respect, just wasn't expecting.

Good start

The food is amazing, the best we had on the trip had the breakfast buffet and lunch buffet at the Pavilion both were the highlight of the stay

ITC is still fairly new so probly still working on setting up, the lifts are quite annoying the don't work smoothly or go to the ground floor to exit sometimes making us take the escalator. Geeting into ITC can be a little confusing they have a bout 3 gates in the front if there sign was a bit bigger it would be helpful
