Our stay was wonderful. The reservation was easy the check in was fast and the check out was fast as well. They accommodate out breakfast earlier because we were there for military graduation so left really early. And breakfast was sweet out it was awesome.

The entire hallway smelled like Marijuana every time myself and my family left our room. When checking in it was assumed that I was staying one night when I had reservations. (Was not asked if I had reservation). In the parking lot there were constantly people hanging out drinking and smoking Marijuana. There was black mold on the ceiling in the room.

The floors aren’t glued down, the bathroom door was incredibly hard to shut and open, there was no vent in the bathroom.
We had asked for extra blankets and pillows, when we arrived at midnight there was none in our room as we had a blowup mattress for an extra adult with us. So at midnight after driving 9 hours I had to go ask for bedding and all she could give me was a singular pillow and a comforter, no sheets.

The room was smelling really bad ,the room size was nice since we had a living room with shower/bathroom and a bedroom with shower/bathroom, but In the living room was no tv and a very small light that didn't light up the room at all, behind the bathroom doors we found a handful of Hair and dirt, the coffee area was not clean at all and besides breakfast time you could not get coffee,I checked out earlier then I planned due to the smell in the room, we lit four candles and it still could not cover the smell ( I know you can not really tell by the pic but there was a lot of hair behind the door)

The room had a smoking smell to it. The floors were covered in paint specs, there were no towels when I accessed the room. The air conditioning unit looked like it had been there for decades. I was disappointed, I truly didn’t pay attention to the website. But of course the pictures posted were deceiving as well. Good price though!

It seemed like that staff try really hard to keep the place clean. Since the moment you step in it smells like bleach or pinesol. But the building needs someone with a knowledge about decoration. the hallway carpets are ridiculous and ugly, the tile work in the showers is really bad the flooring in the bedroom's are loose and smells like humidity in the bedroom's..
And you can hear everything, true the walls and the doors.. the place needs some investment. But so far 2 out of 5

Smoke alarm was covered with a cloth and then strapped down. WE had to clean the room so we could actually sleep there. Cleaned walls with bleach, swept floor with the broom and dustpan we went and got from front desk. They said they were not authorized to dive a refund or discount. The lobby had stuff spilled all over the floor which was dry and the coffee station had coffee spilled all over the counter. The next day at 10 am the door and the coffee counter still had not been cleaned. They were both directly infront of the check in window which was all glass and the concierge could see both spots. The entire place smelled horrible like curry from the moment the automatic doors opened.absolutely nasty

I wish I could upload pictures to this review to fully demonstrate how terrible this property was. First, it is in an unlit and unsafe area behind the highway. The hotel didn't even have a lighted sign, there's just a banner over the old sign.
The property is undergoing renovations and is NOT ready for visitors yet. We were told we were getting a brand new room, which sounded great. When we arrived at our room there was a CHILD (maybe 7-9 years old) cleaning it. The little girl's mom was cleaning another room down the hall and came running when we arrived and got her daughter's lunch and water bottle out of the room.
The place was absolutely filthy and disgusting. There was construction dust and debris all over the floor. The door to our room was missing the peephole so there was a HOLE through the entire door! I had to stuff a washcloth in the hole so people couldn't see inside our room! The smoke/fire detector had been ripped off the ceiling. There were wires hanging out of the wall. The bathroom door had a punch hole in it that had been painted over. The curtains were installed backwards. There were cracks and scuffs in every wall.
It is very clear that the owner of this hotel rushed the renovations to make rooms available when they absolutely should not have been made available. I'm truly shocked this property is even available on Expedia. Do NOT stay here.

Booked last minute on our way from Indiana to Fort Jackson for our daughter’s graduation from basic training. It’s only a 10 minute drive to the base. The hotel was under construction as the new owners are doing lots of renovations. We stayed 2 nights and had already checked out but our soldier was able to be off base until 6pm and really wanted “just chill” with family and not really go anywhere or be outside. I went back to the hotel and spoke to the owners and asked if we could rent another room for just a few hours, fully expecting them to want to charge me for another night.
They were so nice and let us go back into the room we had just checked out of 2 hours earlier, and only charged us a VERY reasonable late check out fee, and told us we could stay until 6pm! We needed to leave at 5pm but we stayed there with our soldier in the air conditioned comfortable room for 4 extra hours! And they didn’t even charge us that much extra! Would 100% stay there again. I was blown away by the kindness and hospitality of the couple who own this hotel.

The hotel is being remodeled. The lobby is totally closed off and the place is an active construction site. I know this is temporary but it made for a horrible stay for me.

This was the worst experience. After driving all day to be with my son on family day at Basic Training, all my wife and I wanted to do was rest. When we got to the Roadway, it there were homeless men wondering down the street. The parking lot was not well illuminated. There were new construction material for all over. The hotel was under major re-model / construction. While I understand the process. The check-in counter didn't have power. The clerk had to use her laptop to process the check in. Once I had the room, as I approached the room, there was a strange odor in the hallway. Once we the towel bar in the shower was about broken off the wall. The hair dryer power cord was cut. The door security latch was broken off. The table / office desk was broken and had screw exposed. The sheets had stains. The walls had holes. There were roaches and other insects all over. When I went to the main desk to file a complaint, no one was there. I can only assume they were working on getting the electricity fixed. This was a horrible experience. We went to bring back some food, we didn't feel that the hotel was safe, we went 3 minutes down the road, where it was cleaner, well lit, and safter.

Pros: The rooms have four walls and a ceiling. The heat/air worked in the rooms we had booked. The fridges worked, but they froze everything. The TVs worked, but the remotes did not.
Cons: From the outside, the place looks condemned. Boxes stacked in front of the entrance. Trash everywhere.
Inside, it smelled like a bar that had allowed smoking for 40 years.
We had two rooms. In one, the toilet wouldn’t flush. After the guy at the front desk “fixed” it, it still wouldn’t. The night desk attendant gave a different room. The new room had a large hole in the wall, the bathtub faucet had a constant stream of water, that wouldn’t shut off. No towels. NO hot water.
Our other room also had a leaky tub faucet. The hot water handle was broken off the sink, so we only had cold water. The one and only towel was bloodstained, but appeared to have been washed - though it should not have been put out for use in rooms. We did have hot water in this shower, although it took about 15 minutes for it to warm up. I woke up daily congested and smelling of cigarette smoke.
Somehow, there were no bed bugs, but there were cockroaches.
The hotel had several residents. For the most part, they were friendly. Several occasions there was VERY loud music in the middle of the night. Yelling up and down the halls.
We had to have our keycards reset DAILY. When I asked the front desk about this, he ignored me completely.
It’s cheap for a reason. Pay a bit more for peace of mind and cleanliness.
