the long term staff here are fantastic.
they are kind and keep the facilities clean.
the facility is also comfortable for long term stay. it has a complete kitchen, private rooms, and even tables on the bunkbeds.
however this property does not have locks anywhere.
not on the front door, not on the room doors, and there are no keys to the lockers, which I requested when I arrived.
when my dress went missing the owner had no remorse. he only told me to "make sure that I check out by 11am"
I believe his short term staff with whom I shared a room with took the dress as she complained that she had nothing to wear when we went to a cafe together. the next day she was responsible for cleaning the rooms and it was the same dress that I wore when we went to the cafe together.
I thought about volunteering for him, but he is unkind and only cares about money. his longterm volunteer staff are the ones running this facility and they do a good job, but he doesn't care about his guests.
a couple of nights ago a young woman almost died here from an allergic reaction from her medication and he was so cruel and indifferent.
if you care about your wellbeing, dont want your belongings stolen, or care about locked facilities, I dont recommend this place.

This property, by virtue of it's geographical location to Yongsan and Itaewon/HBC/Kyoungidan is a great place to stay if you just need a bed to sleep in.
It has great access to two subway lines. The neighborhood is very popular for it's traditional Korean food and smoked fish restaurants.

My first time sharing room with others but it was okay. There is no parking and that’s little disappointed me otherwise it’s good

The location was nice, but the staff was unfriendly. Also, we needed to wait for a long time for using the shared bathroom and we felt so cold when taking shower.

The reason we booked this hostel is because of the location. We'd booked DMZ tour from Koridoor and it was about 15 mins walking distance from the hostel. It's also less than 5 mins walk from Samgakji station. So it's all really convenient.
It's worth taking note that reception closes at 11 pm, we'd narrowly caught it after having to rush a lot. Called in advance to let them know and they said they'll email me steps to do self check-in but for some reason, I wasn't able to receive the email. Thankfully, we made it in time or else we would've been homeless for the night.
Staff speak decent English and was friendly. We stayed on the 3rd floor of a double room, it was clean and a good size. Shared bathroom could be cleaner but it was still comfortable to use. Small towels and hairdryer provided. Kitchen has many cooking utensils and appliances including microwave and fridge as well as water dispenser. Narrow stairway to go upstairs and no lift available but it was alright for us as we only had backpacks.
Overall, would stay again!
