This place was cute and clean. We had a great time in Munising and it's minutes away from beach spots and the local downtown area. The back porch style balcony was great to sit out and look at the water. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

This is a great motel with wonderful views of the bay. Plus they have grills and seating outside to enjoy. It is an older property that could use a few updates but the staff was wonderful and room was clean. My only complaint would be the bed had indentions in the mattress where people lay (maybe the memory foam) and there is not a comfortable chair to sit in but we weren't there much. Overall, great stay!

If you are used to the amenities at normal Hotel chains then skip this place and go next door or the holiday inn. If you want to save $50 night , stay here at the budget motel with a view.

- Breakfast is more of a snack until you eat somewhere else. ( was better than nothing)

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting the UP of Michigan, and found it to be a really nice, charming hotel. Loved the fact that it was right on the lake. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets every evening on the swinging lawn chairs. Our only complaint was there wasn't enough outlets for 3 people to plug stuff in and breakfast was minimal. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was close to several places to eat or shop if you need groceries, and we were thankful for the free ice to refill our cooler when we left. Will definitely stay again in a future visit.

Very basic and dated old school motel. We usually like this; but when walls are moldy, paint damaged, someone else’s mascara on the towels - oh, and the door frame was cracked from being kicked in.
The blind on the window would not open either by pulling it up or twisting the slats open, defeating the purpose of a water view. Breakfast extremely basic.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, but didn’t make up for the room. Overpriced but the location on the lake is probably the reason. Stay somewhere else, pay less, drive to the lake for the view.

It's a lovely place. The back yard has chairs, grills, tables for use. Fun to sit out there in evenings and watch the beautiful sunsets. Very comfortable place, clean, tidy.

Off the back of the room there is a wonderful yard with lots of outdoor seating and area for dogs to play. It has a nice view of the bay especially at night. Free bags of ice as well.

This is a nice motel with friendly staff. The rooms are old and the amenities are similar to what you would expect 30yrs ago. The location is good, view is nice, beds are comfortable. If you don't like poofy pillows then you should bring your own. Big back yard area. Breakfast was basic continental. If you stay here you should manage your expectations. I don't think they advertise as a 5 star hotel and it's not. It's a 2 star motel.

Our only minor suggestion is to vary the pillows. The ones in our room were too big. Otherwise the staff was wonderful and the place was spotless. The huge shoreline yard offered several chairs for guests and everyone loved hanging out there.

Just a couple minor downsides - the room was lacking a closet for hanging clothes, and there was no decaf coffee in the room or in the breakfast room. Management needs to do a better job of keeping guests from smoking on the shared balcony - ruined my enjoyment of sitting on the balcony.
