A truly exceptional and friendly place to spend a few days in slo-chilled san luis obispo. Top of the review must be the staff, who were warm, friendly and helpful and the sort of people who made you feel welcomed and special. Initial perception of breakfast was slightly underwhelming after the common all you can eat offerings of most hotels… BUT here everything is top class, standouts include the best (homemade) croissants we have ever tasted, a changing daily choice of specials to order including granola, pancakes, french toast and frittata with different mini pastries, hardboiled eggs, orange juice and fruit. And a great bonus gesture, free hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine or beer served every night between 5 and 6 in an innovative (very) happy hour to set up an exploration of slo’s many restaurants. Our los angeles based friends drove six hours to meet us - and they have vowed to return soon - without us. A rare find

Have a wonderful stay at Petit Soleil! Perfect place for a weekend getaway. Close to all the shops and restaurants, downtown is in walking distance. Will definitely stay here again.

Always a treat to stay at Petit Soleil. This was our first time back since the remodeled lobby. It was lovely, and the breakfast is always delicious.

Nice facility and courteous staff. It is nice that they are dog-friendly for some rooms (though we didn't take advantage on this trip). The only problem is that there is not enough parking for this number of rooms. We had to park two blocks away, which shouldn't really be necessary given the room pricing. There is an adjacent lot which I understand does (or did) belong to the same ownership, but it was blocked off during our visit.

This is a lovely property, helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast, nice linens and comfortable bed. Not enough parking due to construction, but still inconvenient for guests arriving in the evening when the few spaces were occupied. We had to park on a neighboring culdesac. I'd go back again for the biscotti! Arrive early to get a parking spot and then just chill.

The BEST staff we have encountered on our California road trip - happy, helpful, attentive, keen to please. Each member of the team, without exception, was fab.! The hotel is very clean, both stylish and homely at the same time, and both the room and the courtyard are a relaxing haven to spend time in. ... and SLO is a very cool place!

The room was great and spacious for our family. We enjoyed being close to downtown and the freeway. Breakfast was delicious and we appreciated the complimentary happy hour. The only minor draw back was the noise (I'm guessing from the bar underneath?). Not that there can be much done about that but I think it would be good to note. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back in the future.

The property was such a refreshing change from the standard hotel stay. It was had a charming atmosphere, friendly staff and great room accommodations. Additionally, it was close to great restaurants and shopping. We only stayed one night but it was a great experience.

What an unexpected delight!! We checked out and before we were on the road to return home I was already booking a return visit. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The happy hour with charcuterie and wine in the courtyard was so lovely and the smell of baking/cooking in the morning and the homemade breakfast was insanely delicious. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed and location was convenient to everything in SLO. My son is attending the university and Petit Soliel will serve as my home away from home for the next four years. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

I feel like I was transported to Europe. The rooms are nice and comfortable and decorated very cute. The location is a bit of a walk from downtown, but it is definitely walkable. My favorite thing about the hotel is probably the breakfast. It’s included in the stay and it is amazing!!!
