Clean, quiet and comfortable. Everything I was looking for in a great location right there in Chinatown.

It’s a typical room with a kitchen. Good for family wanting to be in the heart of China town. A bit pricey

We had a little hiccup in the beginning but then it got better. My daughter arrived at the airport 3 hours earlier than I did. I did not want her to have to wait and I called the hotel to see if she could check in for me. They would not let her. I had two rooms booked, and my credit card was on file. They still would not let her check in. She had to wait for 3 hours at the airport. I thought that was poor customer service. Once we got there, the picture here of the hotel is very misleading. It does not look this good. It's not bad, but not this good. It is across the street from a cute park. It's on the edge of Chinatown and a good spot to stay if you want quick access to Chinatown and Little Italy. They were nice enough, and the rooms were comfy. I liked that the windows opened because the AC is locked and they control it. The water in that bathroom was scolding hot. Nothing better than a hot shower/bath after walked all day in NYC. They get an A for that one. All in all i'd stay here again. I thought the price of the room was too high for what it was. We paid well over 200.00 per night and this is a 150.00 a night max hotel. I ended up paying 1100.00 on one room for 3 nights and 1048.00 on the other for 3 nights.Hotels have gotten so expensive in NYC, and this was one of the better priced ones when I was looking. I want to add that they were good about holding our luggage when we were checking out but didn't have to be at the airport until later.

The check in service was bothersome because my daughter got to the airport 3 hours before us. I called the hotel to see if she could just go ahead and check in, they refused. She had to wait 3 hours at the airport for us to land. I was not happy about that. There was no reason for that. This has happened several times at nice hotels and this was allowed. Once we got there, the check in was fine. The rooms were pretty good, the tubs were deep and the water was the hottest water I had had at any hotel in NYC and we have stayed at a lot! Most people don't take a bath but I do and this hot water was amazing after a long day of walking around NYC. This hotel is a little off the beaten path. It has a nice little park across the street. There are no frills here but for what you will need it's good enough. It's on the edge of Chinatown, and next door to a funeral home. Some might find this bothersome, but I did not. The picture of this hotel on their site is a little different than what is really there. Having said all of the above, I'd stay again if my situation was the same as it was that made me book this hotel to start with.

Hotel is a bit on the worn side and tho our room in the 'Penthouse' was large for NY it was sprayed with a super sweet scent everywhere, linens, pillows, etc that was headache inducing. The view from the top floor was fantastic. Desk staff was very friendly. Too bad they use paper cups, not glass; that would add some class. Location is excellent.

Conveniently located in Chinatown, but close to Little Italy and Tribeca, we had our choice of dining options. Staff were attentive and courteous. Yes city views were spectacular.

Hotel Mulberry is an excellent hotel choice. The staff were welcoming and allowed me to store baggage there until my room was ready. The room was perfect for one or two people. Comfy, clean and there is a mini fridge and tv.
The area is quiet, but only about 5 minutes from a subway.

I had a very positive experience here, but definitely understand it’s not a luxury experience. The front desk was helpful and I felt safe. That said, it’s an old building! Don’t expect it to be like the modern chains.
I can’t say I’d choose to stay here again if I had other options, but I booked last-minute for work and was perfectly fine with it.

Stayed here Labor Day weekend 2024. Room was immaculate. Beds and pillows were top of the line. One criticism is that the tub/shower area had no safety bar. But otherwise perfect. DoorDash can bring you anything from NYC area or the options to eat nearby in Little Italy or Chinatown are endless within walking distance. Unique to our trip was one nasty thing. There’s a park across the street and some busker was out there every afternoon katerwauling into a poor sound system on full blast. I wanted to go out and ask them who on earth told them they could sing! But they left by 6 pm. But this isn’t the hotels fault. I was impressed by the quiet at night. Total silence from 7pm - 7 am. Nice. I always felt safe, although common sense and basic precautions should always be observed. Very pleasant stay! Definitely would stay here again! If you want to be immersed in Chinese-American culture, this is where you want to be!

The freezing AC temperature in the room made it unbearable. 62F with no way to change. We asked the receptionist to shut it off at least 5 times and every time it will restart on its own in a couple of hours.
