We love this hotel. So close to the beach. The room was spacious as well as the balcony. Staff is helpful and courteous. Only other thing I would comment on is the rooms need an upgrade. I understand upgrades are going to begin soon. Definitely will stay here again.

There is no elevator to the 2nd and 3rd oceanfront rooms. First floor rooms have no ocean view, even in the oceanfront rooms. Other than that, peaceful and relaxing most of the time.

Yes, it is oceanfront, which is the big plus, however the rooms and facilities don’t make the high cost worth it. The rooms are dated - old carpet, furniture, one of the bathroom lights was out, mirror in the room was not near an outlet and no extension cords available, the air conditioning unit sounded like it was going to break down any second and the ‘change filter’ light was on. I’ve stayed here a few times, and it is always noisy. Sounds like people moving furniture at all times of the night and loud TV. Staff is friendly and accommodated us with early check-in. The value just isn’t there so won’t be staying here again.

This is definitely a motel and not a hotel and that’s a bit misleading with the name on Expedia. With that said, the staff is all incredibly nice and friendly

The worse place I have stayed in. the room was dirty, I was scared to sleep in bed, didn't even attempt to use the shower, the cable didn't work. I will never waste my money here again

Our family had a fantastic time at the Drifting Sands Hotel. It was right on the beach and our room had a wonderful view of the ocean. Most importantly, they made an accommodation for my parents to move to a ground floor room as they were originally on the second floor in a building without an elevator. The staff was pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.

We arrived early for check in and the front desk staff was very kind and quickly got us checked in with beach passes and our room keys. We stayed in the same building the lobby is attached to. It’s important to note that the photos shown of the rooms online do not match what the rooms look like in person. They are very outdated and in desperate need of some TLC. When we got to our room we immediately noticed the poorly made beds and sand everywhere on the floors, especially in the bathroom. We chose to make do with this and did not complain. The balcony was the nicest part of the room and I enjoyed the view we had. You’re only allowed to park one car on the property per room, so if you have more than one vehicle you will need to park in the road - they don’t sell additional parking passes. Be very careful about where you park as someone backed right into our truck during the early hours of Saturday morning while attempting to parallel park. This is a great location just steps from the beach and they do have beach chairs for guests to use that were in good condition. Upon checkout we returned our beach badges/room keys in person to the front desk staff and headed home. Unfortunately, since then this hotel has randomly attempted on multiple occasions to charge my card. Nobody at the hotel could explain to me why this was happening. I finally had my credit card company block them. It’s a shame because I do think this place has potential, however I am left very disappointed.
