Staff were very helpful and hotel is beautiful. Rooms were spacious and clean. The property had free bikes to explore the town and a free shuttle (that must be booked as they only have one shuttle). Location is quiet and can be easily reached by taking Bus 1 from Locarno.

Cleanest hotel I’ve ever been to. It was relaxing and calm and absolutely perfect. The bathroom was a tiny bit older but clean and fine

Beautiful Hotel with a personality in a generous setting albeit suffering still from the local tightness of space. Thankfully this resort has some unconstructed properties around it and the gorgeous Maggia river mouth area behind, which is giving quality to its location, not overlookig the own beautiful garden park of course.
Making use of the provided bicycles to see the surroundings is a key experience here.
Still, (spacious) generosity is not a typical strength of the region it seems unfortuately.
Breakfast and staffing is somewhat under par even though personal, if asked, do make an effort generally.
It is a pitty that many alpine regions still have this certain close-knit mindset, unfortunately in hopitality as well.
It is a shame to comment on a cultural trait which is not responsibility of an establishment but it does hamper the experience for certain visitors and it shall be time to bring it up.

Our room had a looked connection door and therefore we had to be careful with the TV volume to not disturb our neighbors.

Great hotel. Went in the winter season so not a lot going on but very beautiful. The spa is excellent and very clean. Close to downtown Ascona and the lake. Great alternative to Locarno. Older hotel but very well maintained. Breakfast was also excellent and included

However, the decor is probably from the 1980s and the interior of the hotel would benefit from modernization.
Also, it was impossible to get a light snack after 6pm when the only option was to choose off the a la carte restaurant menu. Not ideal as we’d had a late lunch on the waterfront in nearby Ascona.

There are many peaceful areas to relax. There’s a good fitness centre and a cold jacuzzi (wish it was warmer).

I liked the hotel - quiet, relaxed. The only complaint is I was bitten by mosquitoes while having dinner outside by the pool. The reception offered me ointment which helped the swelling a lot. I liked the food at dinner - Vitelli tonnato as a starter and grilled branzino over vegetables for entree. The white wine was good too!

Really nice spa facilities. There are some lovely walks in either direction a few hundred metres up the mountainside. Super restaurants in Acona - quint and very peaceful - at least in Feb!

We were pleasantly surprised at just what a beautiful hotel this was and what a calm and soothing atmosphere. There was a particular bartender who had good knowledge of wine and provided excellent service and the staff generally were exceptional. Even though there were quite a few families with children, it was even relaxing by the large pool and we left with a feeling of well-being.

Very pleasant hotel. Nice staff, great outdoor poor, beautiful park, warm indoor pool, sauna, hamman, etc.
Everything clean, Swiss quality, bicycles for free to go to Ascona.
Negative: No warning via Expedia or website that in the park there will be until 2016 a huge construction site. So if you do not mind to be awaken by construction site noise at 7.00h in the morning, lying at the pool in the sun with view in the park, the mountains and a construction site and its noise, go ahead.
