The property in the experience was great however Hotels.com is a rip off. I’ve always gone to them to find the cheapest prices, but this hotel room was literally $100 cheaper if I was to book direct

We arrived at 2pm (making great time on a 6 hour car ride) and were not so welcomed by a Front Desk receptionist who made it seem like we were bothering her. Her first words were “Check-in is not until 4pm.” She is in hospitality and never even smiled through the interaction. If our room wasn’t ready, that’s ok…we were just asking. Pros/Cons of the trip: Pros: - Ocean-view rooms have a wonderful view and patio - Ocean-view rooms are spacious and come with robes and slippers - Free charging for EVs - Walking distance to the pier and restaurants Cons: - There was a cockroach in our room. It ran away before I could take a picture. - Construction across the street started at 6am and the crew parked right outside our door, yelling, honking and clanking as they got to work - The heater in the room is loud so getting a good night’s sleep was tough between this and the construction I spoke to someone about the construction and noise and she apologized, but didn’t offer any compensation for disruption. She stated that the construction was in the confirmation email, which is true. I also got a followup text that said, “Rest assured, we have no construction on our property.” The construction was 30 feet away and it might as well have been on property. I would not stay here again and couldn’t get out fast enough.

The bed was horrible. It was hard like a rock. The “pillows” weren’t even bed pillows more of a decorative pillow. We didn’t sleep well at all. You get charged an extra $35 if you want to check in early. Never in my life have I had to pay a fee for that.

Expensive, no pool, construction across the street. The good thing is that it is in walking distance to the boardwalk.
