Close to the city centre and the river

The property is a self check in property. Unfortunately, we did not realise that details of check-in were sent via email the day before which went straight into my junk box. We arrived around 2 hours early in the hope we could drop our bags off especially because it was the day of our daughter's wedding and were rudely told via the ring bell that all check-in details are on the email. There is no O2 coverage in most of Ely so I could not access these details. When I asked about parking, I was told this was also on the email. For over £175, this is not service I would expect. Check-in is too late and inflexible and check-out is 10am. We had to carry our cases through Ely town late at night. Just what you need after a long day. On top of that, what you would expect is a nice quiet night is instead geese honking in the night, trains going by and bottles being emptied out by the neighbouring restaurant in the early hours. Definitely not worth the money.

Good facilities in the room, although the decor was a bit overpriced! The breakfast was slightly disappointing in that there was no granola or muesli, some of the fruit offered was tinned, and the bread was rather ordinary. But nice to feel as if we were all in our own home, with a front door straight onto the river

Quiet and secluded part of the city. Lovely environment around the waterways and only a short walk from the cathedral.

Room very dark and had an overpowering smell of disinfectant/air freshener. Overall hotel very clean. Breakfast adequate.

Extremely clean and well presented guest house. Great location within a short distance of the town centre. Would definitely book again.

I missed the fact that the bathroom, although for my personal use, was not ensuite. Maybe it was in the small print. Everything else very good.

Good value. Wonderful, calming vue of the river ourside single bedroom window. Private bathroom large, spotlrsd and well-stocked. Fluffy bathrobe provided. No encounters on landing. Breakfast quite adrquate

The hotel and the location next to the river is beautiful! Overall, very good. Our room was very warm. After we adjusted it as best we could it was still uncomfortably warm. The bed was described as a King, but I would describe it as a queen size. In other words too small for my husband and I. Everything else was very good. Breakfast was lovely.

Very comfortable stay with excellent breakfast. If you book the single room, it has bathroom for sole use (described as 'private bathroom'), not en-suite. However, it was very clean and fine. The bathroom light is inclined to plunge you into darkness if you stay in there too long - a conventional pull switch might be a more practical (though less elegant) solution than the electronic pushbutton!

Small quiet hotel . The pubs and restaurants,city-within easy walk. Free parking but busy so don’t bank on getting a space close to the hotel. Breakfast is included and self service but limited choice if you like a full English.
