excellent stay with son grandson and grandfather very child friendly and excellent understanding for children both during dining (morning and dinner) and with play area with large stuffed bears, tigers, girafs and lions. Very fine and friendly service by all staff. exceptional place when visiting Hagenbeck Tierpark - discounts and special access A really pleasant experience and stay and we will be back

One of the nicest hotels I have been in in a reasonably cheap price range. Location is peaceful area outside the center with good public transportation options. Room was perfect and had nice theme, all clean and everything as should be. Reception was open 24h and the staff were super nice and helpful, immediately dealt with any requests I had. The hotel has very nice saunas on the top floor, especially the Finnish sauna which on request was heated to 90c and was as good as would expect from a big sauna in a spa like environment. They also had Biosauna and infrared sauna which I did not use. Gym on top floor was good, but was more about endurance and small/body weight trainning (View was nice with windows out from the top floor).

Despite that the hotel is good and clean, there is no doubt about that! the idea is also cool. On the other hand, they charge a lot of money for one night where they act like a fancy hotel, but on the sasme time there is no service included! For example, they charge you for the DRINKING WATER 4 Euros ! normally 1 bottle of water is free in charge in almost all hotels! no welcome drink, no parking slots for free! charging a city tax of 6 Euros!

It was expensive for the size of room and the facilities. For example it was rated at 4.5 stars but there was no bar. I believe it was resting on the laurels of being the hotel next to the zoo. The staff were pleasant although Covid rules were a bit over the top (perhaps their hands tied) for example everyone zealously wearing masks in public places but no hand sanitizers at each of the buffet stations. Hands are more important than masks
