Nestled back from the road and surrounded by trees, this charming and rustic home in Gloversville, NY has all of the amenities you can think of. This place was clean, cozy, nicely decorated and very quiet, even during July 4th weekend. The bed was very comfortable, there were TVs and air conditioners in each bedroom, including the living room (which was a huge relief with the hot weather), a nice deck and sitting area in the backyard and just when you thought it could not get any better, there is even a pool table. It is pet friendly and though it is not fenced in, there is plenty of room for your furry friend to explore. It is very close to plenty of restaurants and grocery stores so you will not have to drive far. The welcome packet includes a few dining options. Some outdoor decor (solar lights, landscape accessories) and sprucing up the shed would really make this little slice of heaven pop. Additionally, the host was very quick to respond with any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Gloversville.

The Four Seasons it ain't! It's a charming, rustic cabin in the woods, perfect for myself and my two teenage daughters. I had the primary bedroom and they shared the second bedroom which had a queen and a futon. We went for a run to the lake one morning, closed out each night with a fire in the firepit, made good use of the kitchen and TV, overall a lovely stay while visiting my mom who lives nearby. The owner is clearly doing lots of improvements - looks like the floors and the pine ceiling might be brand new, looks like a new coat of paint on the walls, the kitchen looks fresh, new wood stairs at the entryways, the bathrooms look to be in process with new sinks and toilets but the shower and tub in each bathroom are likely on the list of renos yet to come. There's no central air but the window A/C units do a good job. Word to the wise: bring your bug spray. Summertime mosquitoes in the Adirondacks do not mess around! Thank you Stephen for the very nice stay.
