The cottage was clean and as advertised. There is a secluded strip of beach right across the street from the cottage with very few if any other people around. It's the perfect escape from the sometimes chaotic tourist activities.

If you look up the word heaven in the dictionary ... there should be a picture of this house. Absolutely wonderful stay. My daughter and I came for a week....and wanted to stay forever. Its secluded, without being too far away from shopping, dining, and activities. Its about a 10 minute drive to Hanalei, which we went to frequently. The kitchen is amply stocked with supplies, plenty of equipment if you want to cook while there ... which we did a couple of nights. There is an excellent fish market in Hanalei... the freshest fish ever, and sushi rolls to die for. There is also a gas grill which was super clean, and worked easily and perfectly. The house is whistle clean, and just enough space for the 2 of us. There is a "charming" rooster that lives close by that woke us up every morning!! Its just part of the charm of this wonderful home. Oh..and you really can't get closer to the beach, it's right across the street, and we were the ONLY ones on it for the entire week. It offers both full sun and full shade. its super calm on this beach, great snorkeling and swimming. I'm not a strong swimmer, but I felt perfectly safe in the water here. We also loved watching the Kite Surfers who frequent this beach daily. We drove to Poipu Beach one day and did some exploring and shopping, But honestly, we couldn't wait to get back to our little paradise on Anini beach. I've rented around the world, and this gem is in my top 3. Do yourself a favor ... book it NOW.

This was the perfect getaway with the perfect lady. This place is amazing. Very quaint and romantic, very clean , a perfect location. Everything was there that you would possibly need. We loved it so much that we definitely will be back.

From start to finish, everything was perfect. We were lucky to stay here for three weeks - days of exploring, hiking, helicopters, boating - then the pure joy of coming “home” to our cottage and beach to swim and snorkel. Outdoor hot shower the best! Location on the north shore ideal, groceries and restaurant and weekly farmer’s market nearby. Highly recommend !!!!

The property was very clean. It is a charming boat house built in the 1920s (I believe) now converted into a 2-person beachside rental. The VRBO listing accurately describes the details The sailing-themed interior is spot-on. We enjoyed the quiet and solitude of staying at the west end of Anini Beach Road and there were just a few other rental home owners and locals who used the beach across from the property (20 feet from front door to the sand). It is a ~20 minute drive to Hanalei for groceries and meals out. The kitchen is stocked to do meals on your own if desired. Mahalo Stephanie.

Wonderful stay at the charming boat house cottage. Anini beach is quite literally a stones throw away. Comfortable stay for 2 people and was a perfect home base for us to snorkel across the road (so many sea turtles!) and zip off in our car to explore the rest of the North Shore. We wanted to avoid the touristy resort scene and this far exceeded our expectations for a comfortable and unique stay in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

A gem on Kauai! Truly a unique piece of paradise. Amazing location, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed for a couple. We feel so fortunate and lucky to have found the boat house.

From the moment we arrived my partner and I were stunned by this place, the pictures don't do justice to how present the ocean and landscape are. The beach was safe and brimming with fish and turtles and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep at night. The kitchen was great for quick meals, which was great because the north side of the island has a less touristy/commercial vibe than the east or south. The beach by the cottage was basically ours, outside of a handful of passersby or snorkelers it felt like it was just the two of us. Communication with Stephanie/Gary was very easy. We feel extremely lucky to have found this place, I can't imagine better.

Sleeps 2 perfectly, more would be crowded. Location can’t be beat. Buy some groceries and never leave or close to fun spots to explore. Clean and as advertised. A very easy and comfortable stay!

Wonderful location on a beautiful beach front. The house was amazing as advertised. Outdoor shower was fun after a swim or hike. Hearing the waves 24/7 was amazing stepping out 30 feet to the beach was so nice. We got compliments on having the cutest house on the road by other people renting in the area. Host was amazing.

This is truly a special place - and so much more than we expected in terms of the location and the house. The photos do not do it justice. One of my favorite rentals ever. We cannot wait to come back.

This home was absolutely PERFECT. The location was out of a storybook as well as all the appointments in the home. It was way beyond what we expected. All the personal touches really made a big difference. The fresh orchid, fruit, granola, and handwritten welcome card was a sweet surprise. We will definitely be back. A++++++++. We'd give it 10 stars if there were that many.

Steps from the beach at the very quiet end of Anini beach. Snorkeling 20 seconds from the front door -- turtles, rays, all manner of fish. Comfortable, cozy, very well-maintained. Loved it.

This is my favorite VRBO I have stayed in, and I have been to Kauai more than 20 times! It was super clean, very relaxing, and right by the beach. If you are ready to unwind, this is your place. The cottage was clean and quirky. The bed was comfortable and we could hear the soft waves as we fell asleep. The host left us amazing fruit and local granola. The beach was enjoyable any time of the day. We saw local fishermen in the early hours at low tide walking way out on the reef. We snorkeled, the reef had an amazing variety of fish. I encountered the biggest turtle I think in the entire world, he was massive! Relaxing in the shade or sun throughout the day napping and reading were very peaceful. Finishing each day by watching the sunset at night on the beach was magical. I will be back!
