About this house rental

Serenity by the Sea is a six-bedroom, five-bath ocean view beach house located 0.6 miles south of the Surfside Pier and directly across the street from public beach access. This second row property features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with stainless steel black appliances, including a microwave and dishwasher, as well as a beverage refrigerator, washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans throughout. Eight TVs (70-inch Samsung in living room and family room, 50-inch Samsung Smart TVs in bedrooms) and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king and four queen-sized beds, plus one twin-over-double futon bunk bed and one queen-sized sofa bed. A pack-n-play is available for guests with small children. Outdoor amenities include a 14-by-24-foot private saltwater filtration swimming pool with pool furniture, including an oversized picnic table and benches, as well as sundecks, covered porch, enclosed shower with hot and cold water, pool shower, and gas grill. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family had the best time staying at Serenity by the Sea! The accommodations were perfect for all of us. With the pool and beach so close, everyone was able to enjoy doing what they prefer. I was very impressed with the house and all it had to offer! My one and only negative was the refrigerator is a little small and we were having issues with the freezer the whole time. I would suggest maybe adding an icemaker to the house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was clean, roomy for a party of 8 and across the street from beach access. The fridge was too small for a house of that size, so daily grocery trips were necessary. There was also a dorm size fridge upstairs that fit a few items. Grocery stores were only a few minutes by car though

The house was exactly what we were expecting based on the pictures which is not always the case. The wrap around porches with narrow spindles and a gate were perfect for the little ones in the group.

The location was perfect...a SUPER quick walk across the street and you were crossing the dunes to a very uncrowded location on the beach! Pool was the perfect size! Nice and clean all around! 2 things to note: Fridge is a small fridge...not a full size like you're used to at home. House did not have the ice maker as listed nor an iron.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is beautiful and well cared for. The pool area is perfect when you need a break from the sand. I would not recommend taking 15 adults. We had 13 adults and two 11-year old kids. I had to purchase an air mattress and we had two people sleeping on sofas.
