Our family and friends had a great time!

This place was perfect for us to take the time away from our busy, people-filled lives. Surrounded by nature and fresh air, we had the privacy we were looking for, but with the resort-like luxury. The pool, hot tub, and fully stocked home were perfect for relaxing while having everything we needed. We were very comfortable during our entire stay.

We stayed Labor Day week. This was our second time at this house. The house is amazing, the pool and deck area is perfect. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen we’ve stayed at. Great location and private. We will be back for a third stay. Thanks for having us!

Caley Springs exceeded our expectations! It was a bonus there was spotty cell service and no Wi-Fi. It was a great place to unwind and spend quality family time. My husband and I loved waking up early watching wildlife from the front porch with a cup of coffee. Our family enjoyed the pool, catch and release fishing, playing pool, etc. My only regret was not booking longer. Our kids keep asking when we can go back! We will definitely book again!

Great place for a relaxing fun vaction. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and will definitely be comeing back. The pool is a big hit with the kids, house is awesome and love the area.

Beautiful property, very quiet, don't hear neighbors or even anyone driving by. The house is very well equipped for cooks and very comfortable for all. There is plenty to do right there on the property. Fishing was good, if everyone keeps tossing them back it always should be. The pool was clean and cool. The pool table was great for winding down at night. Thank you to the owners for a great stay.

Had at great time at Caley Springs. We’re blessed with beautiful weather to enjoy the pool and hot tub. A very spacious lodge with 2 large master suites. This was the second time we’ve stayed there.

This was a very nice log cabin and we enjoyed our stay. We will be back again.

Exceeded expectations! Wonderful place to relax. Greatly enjoyed the pool, bird watching, and going on walks around the property. So much to do at the cabin we didn’t really need to leave. Will be recommending to others and would definitely go back!

The house was perfect for our needs, very comfortable with all the amenities we wanted. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the back deck at the end of the day and admired the beautiful property. Tana and Jimmy were very responsive to any questions we had.

This home was an absolute joy to stay in. Comfortable furniture and an amazing back yard. Isolated location with minimal and spotty internet but that didn’t detract from our wonderful stay. The hosts were amazing and helpful. Will stay here again anytime we are in the area. Highly recommended.

Great clean nice place secluded

Everything was great we all had excellent time. The only reason why I did not give this a 5 was lack of cell service. It was spotty and at times we could not get any. You have to go outside front porch to get any service. We did appreciate the ability to get internet again we had to be outside to get it. The hot tub we were not able to use until we were able to get it cleaned up. Other than that, the owner was responsive to any of our needs the place was very clean and roomy. It was as very private and that is what we wanted. We will come back.

We loved staying here and getting away from the busy city life in Chicago. The house is so beautiful on the inside and outside. We loved just sitting out on the front porch and watching the humming birds, so relaxing. The property itself is huge, which is great. It really felt private, which we loved. And of course, the pool! We spent hours on end enjoying the pool and grill. This was the exact thing we needed to relax and unwind right before we started up school and work again. Thank you so much and we will definitely be coming back!

We had a great time. The lodge was spacious and beautiful. Fishing, (catch and release), was good and there is a very nice pool table. Keep in mind there is no internet and phone service is very spotty but that is part of the charm. Would certainly come again.

This was our third trip to the Caley Spring Lodge. We love it so much we intend to book as long as our gracious hosts keep letting us! With its magnificent setting, spacious rooms, and top-notch amenities, it's the perfect place to unwind with the people we love most. We floated in the pool, soaked in the hot tub, shot some billiards, and were enchanted by the dozen hummingbirds flitting around the feeders. Some of our party were first-timers and they intend to book as well. If you're considering the Lodge for your next vacation, book now and book early - you don't want to miss your chance!

Cabin is beautiful and not a bad price for money. Humming birds galore which frequent the front porch. I even met two turtles there. Pool is nice with plenty of seating and a TV on the deck with a porch swing. Hot tub looked nice but did not appear to be cleaned around the area and found a piece of trash when lifting lid so opted to not use it. Many amenities there as in the listing. We really appreciated the snack basket and other items already furnished. Coffee pot is not a Kuerig with pods as in listing but still had coffee provided. Bedrooms and bathrooms very nice. 3 bedrooms have no TV. Everything in kitchen except oven mitts had to use washcloths. Far away from everything so go to a grocery store before arrival. Property says it is ajacent to Shawnee National Forest. The actual exits to the Forest are over 30 miles before the property. I tried to get answers before arrival on the distance and a hair dryer with no reply from the owner. Cell service minimal to none even to make a call. Overall the cabin is huge and gorgeous.

What a wonderful way to spend a quiet peaceful three (3) days for our 32nd Wedding anniversary! This cabin is not your typical LOG CABIN! There aren't any spiders, mice or other creatures that you would normally find in a LOG CABIN! Tana & Jimmy's Cabin is SO SOLID & SOUND! It is perfectly clean & wonderfully decorated with so many amenities! We never wanted to leave this place & although it was a little too cool to swim in the pool, we loved the Jacuzzi UNDER the covered deck! Tana even provided two (2) bottles of Wine from the 'Purple Toad' Winery & a sweet Anniversary Card, as an added touch of elegance to wish us happy anniversary! So thoughtful! Tana & Jimmy were so accommodating and they made sure that everything was in working order & they even had the TVs on so that we didn't have to figure out how to work them! We can't thank them enough for stocked KITCHEN & the plentiful well-stocked entire home!! We didn't have a need for anything! We hope to make a trip to stay here again next year, maybe in the summer & make a week long stay! It was worth the 4 hours travel to get away from it all! Wonderful setting with plenty of privacy and plenty of space to explore and enjoy nature, Cabin is great with plenty of room, pool area is great for conversation and grilling, and the after dark star watching is amazing. Lot's of trails in the surrounding woods gives plenty of areas to explore. DC

Loved this home so much, we asked if we could extend our stay. Secluded and beautiful property with a lovely, comfortable home with fun extras like pool, hot tub, pool table, fireplace inside and firepit out. HIghly recommended.

So nice and clean. A lot nicer than I expected.

We stayed here for a girlfriend trip over Labor Day weekend. We have stayed at several places over the years and this was by far our favorite! The owners thought of everything to make sure your stay is comfortable and entertaining. We spent the entire weekend relaxing by the pool and in the hot tub. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck at night with all the outdoor lighting, tiki torches and fire pit. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials including a basket of snacks and local wine. The traeger grill was so easy to use and was an added bonus. The property is beautifully maintained and is gorgeous. After spending the day swimming in the pool and relaxing on the amazing deck we would head in at night to play pool. The interior of the home was immaculate, spacious and comfortable. The owners were so nice and explained all the features to the home. We were so thankful to have had the opportunity to spend time at this lovely home. We are definitely coming back next summer!!

The lodge was located on a secluded piece of land which was perfect for the type of vacations we like to take and perfect for viewing the solar eclipse. Tana and Jimmy were there to meet us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the lodge and pool area. The lodge was spacious and immaculate. It was stocked with wines from local wineries and snacks for everyone. The refrigerator had been stocked with bottled water for anyone in our group that didn't want to drink well water. The kitchen was huge and the cabinet was filled with condiments and spices for cooking. There was a food processor available in which my daughter created smoothies for the grandchildren. A Keurig coffee pot and a variety of coffees were available for those of us who drank coffee. As I stated before, the place was immaculate. Many places we have stayed, one of the first things we do is wash the dishes and silverware that we were going to use. We didn't have to do that at this vacation rental. From the cleanliness of the lodge itself and the appearance of cleanliness of the dishes and silverware, we used the dishes and silverware right out of the cabinets. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils that we needed. An outside grill was available with the fuel to grill our hot dogs, brats, and hamburgers. Once again, it was clean and didn't need us to do anything to it but cook. The beds were extremely comfortable. In fact, they were so comfortable, my wife stripped the covers off our bed on the day we left to see what brand of mattress we were sleeping on. I don't know if that is a good review or complaint since I will probably be purchasing a new mattress for our bed at home soon. The living portion of the lodge is decorated with deer heads on the wall and other stuffed animals on the floor. There are televisions in nearly every room and on the porch which overlooks the pool. When my grandchildren were not in the pool or spa, which was approximately 8 hours each day, they were playing pool at the pool table. The pool has a shallow end and a deep end with a spacious deck all around it. Many of us in the family would eat our meals outside in the pool area. There were plenty of chairs and tables for everyone. Everyone enjoyed the swarm of hummingbirds at the feeders off the front porch. I would highly recommend this lodge for a family or group of friends who want to get away to a secluded place for a few days. We look forward to a return visit.

This beautiful log cabin home in Southern Illinois is truly amazing! The cabin owners, Tana & Jimmy, are very kind and showed us true southern hospitality! The cabin was fully furnished with 3 beautiful and very comfortable bedroom suites, with 3 large bathrooms fully stocked with lots of towels, and amenities. There was a beautiful full-sized pool table with plenty of room to maneuver shots and a gorgeous swimming pool that was hard to leave behind. Also, the beautiful kitchen was well stocked and outside was a Traeger pellet grill that made grilling so much more delicious and error-free. We also had the pleasure of such peaceful and relaxing outside entertainment. Out on the front porch, we watched several hummingbirds feed and 2 young deer eating apples from the apple tree in the yard. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return next year!
