Amazing experience. Chris was so welcoming. The details of the room were perfect- beautiful space, great amenities, clean, and comfortable. Seems like everything was thoughtfully planned including snacks to take on the road, umbrellas, and binoculars.

The host did not inform us the hot tub was broken. I wish we were allowed the opportunity to cancel since it was the main reason for our stay. Communication is key. Seems based on another review, this issue was already present.

Nothing wrong with the property whatsoever. The problem is that we were LIED to! This property was advertised on Expedia as having a hot tub which was a major reason for us chosing this unit. This was the most expensive room on the volcano and would have been worth it if they delivered on their promise. Before you book, you'd better make sure everything is in working order. The owners did NOTHING to offer restitution for the shortcoming. BE WARNED!!!

Slept like a rock in the comfy bed and the rain on the roof! Eric and Chris were SO great, wish we had more time to chat with them. next time :) It's super close to the park. Will be sending many people their way. Stop looking around and book this place!!

There’s nothing quite like falling asleep to the sounds of the rainforest. Literally 5 minutes from Volcano National Park, and feels secluded but safe. Not a traditional hotel, but more of a B&B, this place shattered expectations. The room was absolutely gorgeous and very romantic with a king bed, private porch, whirlpool tub and a fireplace in an ultra tropical environment. The owners were warm and friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. It's also only 5ish minutes from Volcano National Park, which was perfect for us. 10/10 would definitely stay again!

It was the full realization of your tropical dream vacation - floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking dense jade forests dotted with comedically perfect pink and red flowers. Our room had a warm seat bidet, a rain-fed shower from their cistern, gratis snacks aplenty, THE most beautiful duvet cover I've ever seen. The birds and frogs chirping their unique songs felt like I was listening to the Calm app all night. Everything was immaculate and, again, every detail was spot-on; you can just tell that this is the type of place that the hosts would hope to stay in. Communication ahead of time with Chris was seamless, and I left hoping that Eric and I would be lifelong friends.

This rain forest retreat is extraordinary in every respect. Upgraded to a tee; only two guest rooms, immaculately appointed in the heart of orchids and tree ferns. We also stayed at the Mauna Kea at 4-5x the cost, also exceptional but without the personal service and touch. If you have a chance to stay here, it will be memorable

Eric, Chris, and their property were amazing! My husband and I spent 2 nights of our honeymoon here. Our room was beautiful and incredibly clean. All the details in the room were perfect. Would absolutely recommend this stay if you’re spending time in Volcano!

What a amazing place! If you are looking for a romantic get away this is the place. They did not miss anything, from the bath to the whirlpool. I was very concerned about staying in a place that was not on the normal path but this place was amazing. Loved everything about it…if you are on the fence about booking it -I highly recommend you take the chance and stay there!

If you’re looking for a Boutique, every-last detail thought of, kind of place to stay in Volcano,..this is it! We wish we had booked 3 nights and done our Hilo tour from here! This is not just a place to sleep while you’re touring VNP…At the Craters Edge is your own private jungle resort. We made sure to enjoy the hot tub, lounging around the fire pit, we even used the fireplace in the room every day! The hosts go out of their way to think of everything you might possibly need during your stay. They will even do your laundry for you! We were an 8 min drive…if that…from the VNP welcome center. The best part? It was Adults Only so no kids running around. This is definitely the place to stay when visiting The Big Island!

This was the nicest and most beautiful Bed & Breakfast we've ever stayed at ! Eric & Chris provide the most luxurious tropical suite you can imagine. The room, the grounds, the hot tub, the privacy, the friendliness of the hosts, the service and the homemade banana bread were far and above all previous reviews. I'm sorry we could not have stayed longer. FYI. This is an Adults Only B&B. Only 2 suites. The Hotels.com listing of 'Cribs available' is a mistake. No crying babies to worry about.
