Bullet proof glass...and disturbing signage taped to it...no security...plastic sheets...condoms and rolling papers in the vending machine...I could die standing up in the shower because it was so small. Our entire room was so small that I could also touch three walls at once. Someone's rotten food was left in our unplugged refrigerator that also served as our phone stand. Our pillow cases had cigarette burns and our mattress made plastic crinkle sounds every time we moved. We made the mistake of accepting a room on the first floor. Last night I was awakened by the sound of a homeless man that was groaning and choking. I couldn't tell if he was getting pleasured or assaulted. This was followed by several people yelling. There was a basketball hoop attached to the pole outside of our window. I can only hope that he had hoop dreams.

It is very convenient and clean there’s a lot of transportation around and great food restaurants and a supermarket just been inside before midnight its a tough area

Upside: the bathroom & shower are impeccably up to date, & would be considered luxurious in a modern apartment or house.
Downside: I can appreciate the bathroom-style vent fan in the bedroom area that turns on when the lights are switched on, but it seems that little can be done about the musky human body odor (probably that of males) emanating from the walls & ceiling. I was willing to put up w/ it for a one-night visit, but it was especially bad after I showered shortly before checking out; I got out of the bathroom feeling clean & refreshed, only to gag on the thick foul-smelling man-scent. All of this might be a product of this hotel catering to all "different kinds of tourism," but it's also a glimpse into "real New York" w/ its unusual location.

It was horrible! I only stayed one night! Thank God cause i will never go back there again! It had roaches, it was noisy late at night! And the room was so inconvenient! I had to slide across the bed to get to the other side where inconveniently the plugs were there! Also there were no shower curtains! Who does that! It was a big room with a toilet and a shower! And the lights kept flickering on and off! Thought i was in a haunted room! SMH!! Horrible!! The front desk lady was nice but didnt speak much English! They need to fo better to get better guest!

Hotel is extremely basic with minimal amenities. I didn't feel great about safety because (a) the front desk is behind thick bullet-proof glass, (b) front desk has about 20 camera monitors, and (3) my deadbolt did not work on the room door. Room had no carpet, and floors were not clean. It's supposedly a brand-new hotel but has lots of physical defects in the floors/walls. The only kudos I'll give is for the bathroom -- very nice -- and the price which was good for NY. But people should know that this is a real dive.

I booked a deluxe room for 3 nights
The lift was not working on my first day
The room did not have the basics:
No wardrobe or clothes hangers
When I complained,I was told that the hotel had just recently opened & still did not have all amenities .my reply was that they should not charge for what they didn’t have.
The bathroom was not the one showed in pictures,the washbasin was tiny with no space to put toiletries .
The city view was a railway line & very noisy
When I complained I was asked if I wanted a quiet room,of course I want to sleep at night
I was changed to another room,just as noisy from 4:30 am when trains started
There was no fridge in the second room & the receptionist had to carry one from another room.
The area on the way to the property was awful,people were taking substances openly & I’m talking about 3/4 in the afternoon ,the sidewalks were full of garbage that smelled & there was even a dead rat on the sidewalk.
All in all my experience at this hotel was the worst possible certainty not worth the money I paid.
So I would expect compensation

Customer service was Aaaamazing the clerk in the front desk was sooo patient and very accommodating
the rooms are beautiful very updated and most importantly very clean and smelled delicious. The only thing i regretted was not staying here the full 3 days I was here. Sadly i found this jewel on my 3rd day.
