About this villa rental

It is a pretty Provençal style house, with a panoramic sea view (from the swimming pool, living room, balcony, terrace and all bedrooms). It is located in Sainte-Maxime (near Saint-Tropez) 1 km walk from Nartelle beach (long famous sandy beach where the sea is generally very clear - access by pedestrian path then at the edge (secure) of an alley). The house has wooded and enclosed grounds and the interior was renovated a few years ago. The area is quiet and residential and access to shops is easy (by car) because it is not obligatory to go through the seaside (often congested during the day in July-August). The house is cool because it is shaded by an old umbrella pine and it is peaceful. You can eat on the balcony (with a beautiful view of the sea and hills) because it adjoins the kitchen.
POOL :
It is a traditional swimming pool (concrete frame) surrounded by a beach of approximately 40 m2 made of natural stone (40x40 Roman opus slabs). From the swimming pool, we have a view of the sea.
SAINTE-MAXIME:
Sainte-Maxime is a pleasant village. Most businesses are open all year round. The months of July and August are very popular. During the months of June and September as well as the Christmas and Easter school holidays, many tourists stroll through the village. The rest of the year is calmer but not at all 'dead'. In Sainte Maxime, there are many activities (golf, water sports, sandy beaches, cinema, library, water park, enclosed swimming pool, exhibitions, etc.). The municipality organizes events throughout the year (car rally, aerial acrobatic show, concerts, etc.) but especially in July-August, a period during which there are tourist events every day. Come and discover the old village, the marina, the landscaped seaside, the public squares with bowling games, the restaurants, the ice cream sellers, the café terraces with orchestras, the free concerts, the markets...
HEATING / VENTILATION:
A large umbrella pine tree provides shade, it is equipped with VMI (mechanical insufflation ventilation) and air conditioning.
CAR PARK :
Possibility of parking several cars inside the property (gate). The access road is lightly trafficked.
PETANQUE:

SHOPS:
There are many food stores which are easy to access by car (no traffic jams in July and August). On Saturday, upon arrival, you can do your first shopping at the large crossroads (direction Le Muy) which is open until 8:00 p.m.

We were a little tired and stressed on arrival as our pre booked hire car was a bit of a mission to sort. The Villa owner was there when we arrived, wanting payment for bedding and cleaning. We were expecting the bedding but had missed the €180 for cleaning as the correspondence was in French only. She said that they shouldn’t really be letting the property as they’d had a water leak leaving one of the rooms damp and with mould, which was true. Fortunately one of our party had had to cancel late so we didn’t need to use it. The Villa is typically French and has amazing views towards the sea. It is well equipped and the outside space and pool very good. We had a lovely time. A car is recommended as the climb up to the house is quite steep.

This is a fine and clean house with a great view to the coast line. We had good communication with the owner and had a very relaxing holiday.

The house was just great for us including my son and daughter and their spouses and two young children/baby. The youngsters on the lower floor with a patio and close to the pool and me and my husband in the room on the top floor in the turret by the living room and kitchen. Everything was in good order (although I did not manage to get the DVD reader to work and the knives in the kitchen need sharpening. Also a hook or two in the kitchen to hang the tea towels would be useful addition. The view is just fantastic and the place is very quiet. Walk to the beach and to the city centre 15-20mn which keeps you fit on the way back up the hill. We had a great time. The bedlinen needs to be hired.
