The Harbor Bay Studio is a beautiful property situated on the water which is commonly known as the fingers. Situated among the canals of Port Isabel with lovely views of the water with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, this waterfront home is a place for unwinding in the crisp Gulf breeze. It is minutes from the beaches on South Padre Island. From the home, you can leave the fingers (Canals) and fish in the Lower Laguna Madre in seconds. It's a short boat ride to leave the bay passing through the jetties and right into the Gulf of Mexico. Also, a short boat ride and you can be up close and personal to the rockets at Space X from the water. After a day spent fishing, boating, or lounging on the nearby beaches of South Padre Island, you can relax and watch the sunsets which are so tranquil with spectacular views that can be viewed on the large deck overlooking the fingers. Also, from the deck you can enjoy the fireworks that are shot almost every weekend during the summer months. If you are fortunate enough to have this home booked during a Space X launch you can enjoy it right from the deck!
It's a setting that's both scenic and convenient, just over a mile from the heart of downtown where you will find a variety of small locally owned shops and dining. The Port Isabel Lighthouse is a State Historic Site which is available for tours. For a fun day at the beach, head over the causeway to South Padre Island or visit the Isla Blanca state park. Nearby, you'll also find Treasures of the Gulf Museum, Long Island Village Golf Course, and Sea Turtle, Inc. There is entertainment for the whole family to enjoy from chartered inshore and offshore fishing trips, parasailing, dolphin tours, go-carts, and horseback riding, just to name a few. Restaurants are all up and down the island and several options for nightlife are all within minutes of this beautiful home.
Bright colors are a constant throughout the studio, creating a bright, cheerful space to return to each evening. You will want to take advantage and enjoy your cocktails, dinners, lunches, and even breakfast out on the deck where you can enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. For the early birds, enjoy your coffee on the deck, watch the beautiful sunrise, and listen to the fish jumping. Inside, enjoy a colorful kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a large flat screen TV. Central air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi, with all your cooking needs provided round out the in-home essentials.
If you are bringing a boat or kayak and need a boat slip, trailer parking or want access to the green lights those are all available for an additional charge on a case by case basis and availability. The Captains Quarters guest has private and total access to the bottom deck. We know you will enjoy the Studio on the Bay with all the spectacular views as much as we do!
