About this house rental
Parker House…Southern charm in a fabulous location🌸 Parker House is in the heart of Historic Savannah on beautiful Warren Square. It’s an easy walk to restaurants & bars, Broughton St. shopping & world famous River Street & the Eastern Wharf.
Here, you can experience history in one the city's oldest homes, circa 1806. Immerse yourself in the architecture & historic details, while enjoying all the modern comforts: updated bathrooms, smart TVs, a gourmet kitchen, Wi-Fi, a parking space steps from the front door & a gorgeous private courtyard complete with outdoor seating, bubbling fountain & vintage statue as your own personal oasis in the heart of the historic district.
You'll feel right at home at Parker House. Our comfortable 4-bedroom, 2 ½-bath home offers both sanctuary & historic charm for eight guests. The interior features antiques, original pine floors accented with colorful area rugs & gorgeous natural light throughout. With the main (parlor level) floor featuring an open floor plan & soaring ceilings, each space feels unrestricted, yet cozy. Open the front door to reveal the classic turned staircase, antique chandelier & Eastlake hall tree. Step into the living room & choose a favorite chair as you recap the day's activities or plan for tomorrow. This parlor level is also perfect for entertaining the family or friends. Through its pocket doors, it opens up to a spacious dining room & bar seating that separates the dining room from the gourmet kitchen. At the end of the bar, you'll find two under-counter refrigerators to be stocked as you like.
Up the turned staircase to the second floor, you’ll find the spacious master bedroom with its 12-foot ceiling & moulding details, king-size brass & iron bed, Smart TV & sitting area with a decorative fireplace. The adjacent bath features a lovely vanity sitting area & full size tub/shower.
The lower level, or garden level, master suite boasts a king iron bed, Smart TV, decorative fireplace & en-suite full size bathroom with tub/shower. Also on this garden level is a 2nd bedroom furnished with two comfy twin beds & dresser. This bedroom shares the full size bathroom with the master suite.
To top it all off, the 3rd floor bedroom rewards you with a treetop view of Warren Square & your lovely courtyard below. The cozy attic ceiling surrounds the queen iron sleigh bed. Many visitors have called it their favorite room in the house. (Note: The stairs to the 3rd floor are narrow & twist tightly, as you'll find in so many houses of this era. Even though they are carpeted, please use them only if you're sure-footed, use the handrails & watch your step going up & down.)
Of course, you can soak in the outdoors without leaving Parker House too. Open the door from the kitchen to the back porch, where comfortable rocking chairs & bistro style table & chairs invite you to relax over morning coffee. Enjoy our recent renovations as you step down the stairs to our private brick courtyard which is beautifully appointed with “Our Lady of Savannah” statue, bubbling fountain, & comfy outdoor sofa, chairs & loveseat seating. In the evening, the cafe lights come on & you simply want to enjoy a cocktail, dessert or charcuterie board while relaxing in your very own downtown oasis.
However, if you’ve planned a day of downtown exploring, you’re in the right spot. Parker House is only 2 blocks from…the Olde Pink House restaurant, touted as “the epitome of southern dining in the historic district, equally enjoyed by locals and tourists alike”, the regally restored Lucas Theatre, the timeless Pirates House, regarded as “Savannah’s most intriguing & historical” restaurant that first opened in 1753 as a seafarer’s inn, delicious brunch spot hub, B Matthews Eatery, Broughton Street shops, boutiques, eateries, iconic Leopold’s Ice cream Shop & of course, Riverstreet, where you can stroll through the cobblestone riverfront filled with shopping, restaurants & entertainment venues all while watching the ships pass through the Savannah Harbour. Live Oaks House is also several blocks from the newest Savannah hotspot, the Eastern Wharf, a riverfront “walkable 54-acre gathering place with community parks, and curated shops and restaurants” including my favorite Rooftop bar & brunch spot, Bar Julian. Whatever your downtown Savannah vacation plans entail, Live Oaks House is where you want to be🌸

Great spot that is convenient to everything. House was very comfortable for the six of us. The only drawback I could see is that the stairs are very narrow and steep so people with mobility issues would not be able to access the bedrooms.

My group included 3 couples and we were visiting Savannah for the 200th Anniversary of the St. Patrick’s Day parade. None of us opted to stay in the bedroom on the top floor because the stairs are steep, but we had plenty of room! The location is great and it is close to everything! Nothing took more than a 10-15min walk and we were around the corner from the parade route. The included parking pass was a plus too - we parked the car and didn’t move it until we checked out. Would definitely be interested in booking again!

We absolutely loved our stay in Savannah! The house was very tidy, easy to find, close to everything we needed to do. There were a few quirky things, but this is to be expected in old homes. The host is amazing and responded quickly when any questions were asked by our group.

Excellent location- we enjoyed the property and visit very much just would like to have one national news station on the TV.

Had a great time staying at Live Oaks. The house was perfect 6 college friends celebrating our 60th birthday year! We felt very safe walking at any time and it is super close to everything you need to get to. House is beautiful! The beds were all super comfy. The only thing I would say is if you stay in the lower level master suite and sleep in the king bed, you may want earplugs as it is right against the sidewalk and street and you can hear anyone coming by anytime of the night. Also, if you are planning on having any kind of snacks. Make sure you pick it up before you get to the area as there are no convenience stores or grocery stores that you could walk to. We had a difficult time finding milk for coffee, and cheese and crackers to have with wine, which we had to opt for going out and getting a charcuterie board at a rooftop bar. We did have a blast at many of Savannahs, rooftop restaurants and bars, so check them out if you go. I would highly recommend live oaks to any group of friends going to Savannah.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Perfect for a group of 7-8 people. There are 4 stories and lots of stairs so keep that in mind with young children or people with mobility issues. Other than that, the house is in a great location and right next to the parking garage. We would definitely stay there again.

Walking distance to anything in the historic riverside district. Excellent accommodation. Clear instructions for the house. Dont be afraid to stay here.

We really enjoyed this beautifully well
maintained old home on the square. It was convenient to shops, bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend this home and host!

This very old house is beautiful inside but it has lots of stairs which we managed well but wouldn’t work if you can’t climb stairs. It is well located for the river & also the historic district. We really enjoyed our time there & would go back again.

We were friends from college who get together every year. We were impressed with the decor in this home and all the space, indoors and outdoors. The kitchen had everything we needed and even had spices and other items probably left from previous visitors.
The sheets were very soft and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms had plenty of room with toiletries and notes to call the manager if we needed more towels, which we didn’t.
The location was perfect. We could easily walk to the river shops and restaurants as well as to Broughton street shopping. We ate at the Olde Pink House and B Matthews, which were both only a couple of blocks away.

Really great location. Nice large living room for our group to all sit around together. It was a very unique experience to stay in such an historic home. Our adult kids all commented on how comfortable and interesting the house is. We loved it!

The house was beautiful, and a great location walking wise to everything we needed. Host reached out prior to stay to ask about any concerns and was very respectful when we turned the AC down too low

Lovely property, comfortable, well-furnished, and clean. Easy walking distance to the waterfront/restaurants/shopping. We spent each morning on the back deck with coffee before wandering out for the day. Easy check in, and good communication with the property manager. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend to a family of ALL ages. Plenty of space and walking distance to the river and multiple restaurants. We had family join us from California and Maryland for our son's graduation at SCAD. EVERYONE loved our stay at your beautiful home. It was also fun having it on the historic tour! Thank you for a terrific experience.

Live Oaks house was a perfect spot for my friends and I to celebrate our 40th birthdays … it’s very short walking distance to basically everything we wanted to do and see and eat in Savannah and the space itself is charming, clean and super functional! Even the parking was easy and convenient. 10/10 would recommend!!

Location was absolute perfection! Close to everything yet also a quiet spot. House is exactly what I wanted. Spacious, updated kitchen, and the old Savannah feel! Highly recommend!

8 of us escaped to Savannah for a low-key bachelorette weekend and this property was perfect! The house was clean and everything was labeled so it was easy to find everything we needed. The house has so much character and is in an ideal location. Many of us already said we would love to stay at this house the next time we're in town! We had a wonderful time, thank you!

Had a great time during our college reunion stay! The house is really large and the location is amazing! The only warning I would have is all bedrooms are up or down stairs some narrow/steep. However the bedrooms are awesome and the kitchen was well stocked.

This was a great place for a weekend trip with friends. Very charming townhouse with comfortable amenities. Walking distance to most bars, restaurants and attractions in the north historic district. Parking pass for the garage across the street was also a nice perk. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time for my daughter’s bachelorette party at the house. The sleeping arrangements were nice because everyone had their privacy. The outdoor space was nice but a little to close to the neighbor. The kitchen had most everything we needed. We had a private chef come and with the large dining room table and bar stools there was plenty of room to eat. The location was ideal and very walkable to everything the downtown has to offer. I would definitely recommend this home.

The location and house were perfect. Right on Warren Square which is beautiful but not slammed with tourist. It is walking distance from everything. Such a great stay!

We knew we were going to like Savannah and we certainly liked where we stayed. The house was lovely, fully stocked, everything we would need was there, and then some. We really loved the feeling of living in the past, but with modern conveniences. I would highly recommend this property.

I can't say enough good things about this property. Everything was stocked and then some, with the things we needed over the weekend. The amount of space especially for an older Victorian historic home was perfect. Everybody was extremely helpful and made it a pleasure to work with. Looking forward to visiting this place again!

Perfect location. We had 7 siblingd 60 plus and we did great. We could walk everywhere. Beds are very comfortable. Water pressure in showers amazing.
Stairs up to third floor and down to lower level on the narrow side but it work for us.
Outdoor back yards was lovely. We would stay here again anytime. Thank you.

This house was the PERFECT choice. The house is cozy & clean. You won't find a better location than this house. It was perfect walking distance to all the great things Savannah has to offer. The house was stocked with all of the necessities and accommodations. I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend!

The Live Oaks house was a lovely place to stay! We enjoyed the history of the house and the area. We parked the car for the weekend and walked to everything, which was fantastic!
The kitchen was fully stocked and this came in handy to cook breakfast/dinner. The owner was communicative and answered very promptly!
The only small comment I will make it a couple bedrooms experienced some outside noise due to being roadside so maybe just bring so headphones if you’re a light sleeper!
Overall, 5 stars and we would return!

We rented this home for six retired college friends. The home was nicely maintained and within walking distance of the many things to see and do in Savannah. The property manager was very helpful when hurricane Ian caused our flights to be cancelled, necessitating extra nights. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding and towels were top quality. I would definitely recommend this property.
