Condo was in a great area- very quiet never heard anybody! The view was unbelievable 180° view of the ocean, reefs ,so many turtles. The location in Kannapali was just perfect in the middle of the best part of the west side of Maui! it’s a small shopping center right across the street, which was very convenient in the beaches in that area area which just unbelievably gorgeous! The condo is very clean and everything you need was there! We would definitely go back and we are going to refer friends and family as well! The lanai was just perfect!!! Small pool, but no one was over there!

Highly recommend this place. Beautiful ocean view with great snorkeling opportunities and the beach right in front of the location. All snorkeling supplies were included. Very clean room with plenty of light. Everything we needed was there. Great walking trail right off the resort and several food trucks/restaurants within easy walking distance. There’s a small grocery store across the street as well. The pool and entertaining area was nice as well. Nothing to complain about with this place.

This waterfront property is incredible and I wish we could have stayed much longer. The unit has everything you could need and the panoramic view is out of this world.
There is easy, secure parking and it’s close to lots of local amenities. We walked down the beach to a sunset dinner at Dukes one night and we walked 5 minutes to a food truck park and grocery store another night.
Communication and property access was clear and efficient. Ideal for couples!

This property is in an excellent location, situated right on the beach such that you cannot even see properties to the left or right of you. The 180 degree view of the ocean is an understatement. Very quiet area and building. Easy plentiful parking. Food trucks a short walk away for dinners. Saw turtles and dolphins from the balcony multiple times. You will love this place. Chris has included everything you might need.

It was absolutely perfect for us! The location was great. Very quiet, but close to resorts so we could walk to several different restaurants. Steps away from the beach on either side. Close to the food trucks. Close to the “beach walk” so I enjoyed some runs. And the condo itself had everything we needed. We also loved that it was high so it was super private (no one could see onto our balcony except passing boats). We loved sitting on the lanai listening to the waves. No complaints!

Perfect location! SOO many turtles to watch from the lanai or beach swimming by over the reef. Comfortable bed and the pull out sofa was a nice addition. Love to listen to the ocean at all hours. Gorgeous views of Lanai and Moloka’i! Highly recommend.

Quite street, quiet building, beach front, everything was left very clean for us and we woke up and went to sleep with an incredible view every day and night. Chris left very detailed, easy to follow instructions and helped us out with food recommendations for the area. It was super helpful to have a cooler, beach chairs, beach towels and snorkel gear. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful location to watch whales, turtles, and sunsets. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. A good central location close to stores and the food truck park.
Host was very responsive and helpful to a small issue, which was resolved quickly.

We could not have asked for more. The private large lanai had gorgeous views. We had spectacular whale watching, not to mention paddle boarders, boats, canoes, etc. Had we not gone any other place, the lanai alone made it a great vacation. The kitchen was very well equipped and had plenty of counter space which we really appreciated since we cooked most of our meals. The bed was comfortable. The condo was clean and at least as good as the pictures show. The location is perfect for walking the beach, restaurants and a grocery store. The owner, Chris, was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We’d go back in a nano second.

Have stayed in this condo before and it's the perfect place for my husband and me! Well maintained, well stocked, responsive owner! Perfect location, beautiful views of the neighboring islands, viewing sea turtles and whales from the balcony daily, close to shops and places to eat, this condo has it all. It's hard to articulate every detail which made this stay amazing but the first thing which comes to mind is the stunning view. It really is accurate in the photos, and yet the photos don't do it justice. Before arrival, the host Chris was always prompt and caring in his communication. The check-in instructions were clear, and there was a helpful and friendly staff person in the lobby as well in case you have any questions. The condo is clean and perfectly stocked for a small party (we were two people.) In addition, the bed was very comfortable. There was even snorkeling gear as well as beach chairs and little portable cooler bags, which was really nice. There are succinct, clear instructions posted throughout the condo, which really helps you to navigate everything without any problems (and you don't have to sit and study a rental booklet because the instructions are right there when you need them, which was a thoughtful touch). The entertainment system worked great for us, as you can sign into your own streaming accounts. (I wish we would've brought an HDMI cord though, to play video directly from the computer.) You do need to bring your own binoculars, which we did, and that added a lot of value to the view. The lanai is really spacious and private. From there we saw sharks, turtles, fish, a sting ray, and some kind of porpoise or dolphin. It was amazing. In addition to being steps away from two different uncrowded beaches and right on a great snorkeling spot, you are in walking distance to the grocery store, food trucks, resorts, happy hours, and restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Pictures and words cannot justify the view from the Lanai. My husband and I had a great time watching the ocean and boats while enjoying breakfast. We can sit there all day just to enjoy the gorgeous view. The condo is very spacious and clean. We love it so much that we have been telling our friends to stay here when they visit Maui. Thank you!

The waves from pacific are almost hitting the walls of this condo :). We loved staying here, everything was reasonable and location is great that is closer to all other west maui areas.
If you really want to see the east side you might want to stay a day on the east side than drive multiple times from west to east on maui

We had so much fun just relaxing. The view from the room is excellent. So many whales and turtles to see and of course take pictures of. Our days consisted of doing a whole lot of nothing and hanging out with friends by the pool. Every night we would BBQ and hang out in the cabana. We have meet so many new friends and will be back.

The view from the lanai (furnished balcony) is truly spectacular. When all the sliding windows are open the apartment has a fabulous view of the ocean and neighboring islands, and all you hear is the rolling and crashing of the waves. The sun sets right opposite, so mix yourself a nice drink, sit back and enjoy! We were there just after the main whale season, so we did not get to see whales from the condo, although we did see some at a distance on the various boat trips we took. Chris gave us detailed instructions, and everything functioned flawlessly. The apartment has everything you need - very comfortable, clean, attractive, with a fully equipped kitchen. The lift up to the 9th floor is quick. Ample parking just outside. There's even free coffee in the lobby in the morning. We rented a car from the main airport and enjoyed the independence and flexibility this gave us. We like to be active so apart from early morning strolls, we made very little use of the beach at the condo, preferring instead to go exploring. Some of the other reviews mention things in the immediate neighborhood. Our activities took us pretty much around the entire island. We skipped the drive up the volcano, however. Some of the things we enjoyed: the Feast at Lele (we left it too late to get seats at the Old Lahaina Luau, which most people say is the best, but we were very happy with the Feast at Lele, which is Polynesian themed rather than purely Hawaiian. The food is excellent.) (Just all a little pricey!), the Atlantis Submarine (very comfortable and takes you down over 100 feet), snorkeling and scuba diving with Maui Diamond Water Sports out of Maalaea harbor (a 45 minute drive to the south east) (we were headed for the Molokini Crater, but the boat had to turn back because of rough seas - we still had a good time); snorkeling in beautiful coral formations and loads of tropical fish right from the shore at Ahihi-Kinau Reserve, south of Wailea and Makena; the drive to Hana (allow the whole day and start early!); and snorkeling off the beach at Napili/Kapalua Bay, a few miles north of the condo, where we got up close to turtles. We also enjoyed Lahaina in the evenings. Definitely hope to be back and stay here again!

Here are my reasons for giving this property 5 stars. Chris the owner. He is very responsive by internet or phone and, if there is a problem, he takes care of it immediately and with a smile. The view. The unit is on the 9th floor and has a spectacular view of Lanai, Molokai, and whales, whales, whales. The condo itself is well-stocked and is very comfortable and clean with a large living space and a beautiful lanai (it doesn't get much better than having breakfast on the lanai while watching whales spout and breach). The condo itself is well located with shopping across the street, the best fish market on Maui within walking distance, and of course, the beach out the back door. Thank you Chris for sharing your condo with us.

The lanai is where you will be when you are in your suite, here. February, and the whale action was incredible - don't forget your binoculars, as there are none in the unit. We loved having the breezes come through the suite, and smelling and hearing the waves crashing (because of the breezes, we never used the A/C). We just loved the Maui Kai resort. It is really well kept, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We felt really safe here. The parking was great, and ample. The common areas, like laundry rooms are really well kept, and the front desk sells detergent and dryer pads at only $1 a load! They even provide a car wash spot. The building is quiet, as mostly couples staying here. The suite itself was adequate. Nothing fancy, but well laid out, good square footage, and has pretty much everything you'll need in the kitchen. We felt right at home and had the best 15 days rest and relaxation. Oh, and absolutely NO CAR OR ROAD NOISE. You are also in a prime area to do miles of beach walking. Hope this helps!

I have never used the VRBO service before , and was very impressed with the location and view of the ocean. This is exactly what I was looking for when I rented this unit. The overall condo is older but in good condition, everything was clean and check in and check out went smoothly. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable. The ocean views were spectacular and we recorded numerous whale sightings and turtles in the ocean. We stayed at the condo for 10 days without a car, I found cabs to be easy to flag down and prices were very affordable. Grocery and Convience stores are an easy walk and , The Beachclub Hotel is about a 5 minute walk and Dukes is just up the beach. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is it.

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks and we had a great time. The ocean views are spectacular and we had a turtle hang around the coral each day and could watch him from the balcony.
We would definitely recommend this condo. Hopefully we will some day make it back to Maui and stay at this condo.

The unit was comfortable but could use some updates, especially in the kitchen. The location was excellent. The building was quiet in the evening, but construction was going on next door during the day (in the mornings before we left for the day). We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and spent a lot of time on the lanai. It was close to the boardwalk, Dukes restaurant, and good snorkeling. Kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, glasses, silverware etc., to meet all our needs.

My fiance and I stayed at this location and had an amazing time! It was everything it was described as and more! Waking up in the morning and seeing the view from the balcony was breathtaking. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be coming back when we make it back to Maui.

Being our first time in Maui, and wanting to spoil ourselves, my wife and I decided early on that we wanted something on the beach.
Without having to break the bank, we found this place, literally RIGHT on the beach... I mean waves literally crashing on the steps and walkway.
Being on the 9th floor provided us with a spectacular view of not only the adjacent islands, but also the sunsets. All of our downtime was spent either on the lanai listening to the waves crash and watching the turtles swim by the beach or the whales breach out at sea, or laying on the pullout watching a little TV and once again listening to the waves crash.
We enjoyed having a little kitchen to make our own food, which we tended not to do.
Not ever having been to Maui, we didn't know where things were, so didn't know how to plan where to stay. Having been there now and doing a bunch of stuff on the island, I can tell you that this is a great place as a base of operations for stuff going on in west Maui (Lahaina, etc...) but the location is about as far as you can get away from Hana (destination at the end of the "Road to Hana"). It's about 30-40 minute drive from Kahalui airport, which isn't bad because you're there for the scenery, right? If you're continuously doing things all over the island like the Volcano sunrise, Road to Hana, etc... you'll find yourself driving quite a bit. Being fond of driving and exploring, this didn't bother me at all.
Overall as first time Maui visitors, we were totally happy, and were not disappointed by anything. One thing I can say as a guest is that the people who used the snorkel gear before we got there didn't clean it, as it was very sandy. So we left it better than we found it.
