Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

Whatever your desire, whatever your need, the Grand Strand offers something on everyone's to-do list. We have a variety of restaurants, retail stores, miniature golf, entertainment venues, charter fishing, water sports... and, of course, nothing but relaxation.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself was fine. Little outdated The inlet was smelly and you couldn't fish Big disappoint !! The deck needs repair its rotted. We rented this house so we could fish . Not enough room for parking and golf carts . Will not rent again . Also GCR refused us the 20% off even though we reserved two days before sale was posted for dates we were there . Lightning knocked out air but it was repaired very quickly.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the house! It was super clean and so spacious! We loved having the pool and the beach basically across the street. The only negatives for us was not being able to dock our boat there at the house because at low tide it was super shallow and dry and the washer and dryer being in a room downstairs with the air conditioning. Other than that we loved it! Oh yes, it was also super quiet which was awesome!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked the house; great location to the beach;loved the back porch; the floors w/out carpet were very dirty from the day we walked in, Cindy’s y sweeping but still wet dirty. The owner really needs to update the kitchen. Not only small but very outdated, drawers stick, only a hodge podge of utensils, plates, very few glasses, etc. pots and pans old and very worn. Refrigerator leaked; pool person did not come to clean till Wednesday am I think? Beds in the downstairs were horrible. I don’t mean to say this house was horrible cause it wasn’t and we enjoyed our week but needs major updates.
