There is a bathroom with bath, walk-in shower, hand-held shower, basin, and heated towel rail and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with lawn, decking, furniture, and pond, and off-road parking. Pet-friendly. Sorry, no smoking at this property. Town: Sandwich is one of the original five Cinque Ports that grew rich by providing ships for the monarch before the establishment of a regular navy. It is 2 miles from the coast. This atmospheric site is run by English Heritage and provides a fascinating insight into how life was during the Roman occupation. With its ancient buildings, nature reserves, golf courses, delightful country pubs, cafés and restaurants, the medieval Cinque Port of Sandwich is a must to visit for the tourist. Sandwich is also surrounded by small, picturesque villages, such as Eastry, Ash, Worth and Woodnesborough, and within easy reach are the nearby towns of Canterbury and the Port of Dover. Sandwich has appeal to golfers as it is home to the Royal St George's Golf Club, which regularly hosts The Open Championship, and was once described as the “most beautiful seaside golf course in the world".
