About this house rental
Welcome to Broadleaf, a designer-decorated home in Massanutten, just 15 minutes from Shenandoah National Park. With 7 bedrooms, Broadleaf sleeps 18 comfortably. Outside, enjoy the brand new hot tub, firepit, cold plunge and various games. Inside, you'll love the open floor plan upstairs and additional living and game rooms downstairs.
The house is about a 3 minute drive to the slopes, pool, and dining at Massanutten, and about 7 minutes to the indoor/outdoor Waterpark. The Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park is 20 minutes away with some of the best hiking on the east coast. JMU and everything else in Harrisonburg is 25 minutes away, and there are several breweries, wineries, and restaurants within 20-25 minutes of the house.
The home layout is as follows:
Upper level:
- Living room with ample seating and working electric fireplace
- Dining area with space for 10 at the main table. Additional seating available right next to the table at the kitchen counter (3 stools) and eat-in bar in the kitchen (4 seats)
- Upper deck featuring comfortable seating around propane firepit, outdoor dining for 8, and a gas grill (propane provided)
- BR1: Master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom

Other things to note:
- Broadleaf is pet friendly! We allow up to 4 pets with a $100 pet fee (total, not per pet or per night).
- We provide our guests $1500 of coverage for accidental damage to the property or its contents. The cost of this is already embedded in the cleaning fee.
- Massanutten offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, dining, spa, ropes course / zip line, golfing, go carts, mini golf, and much more.
- The driveway can fit 3-4 vehicles, plus there is room for an additional 3-4 vehicles along the street directly in front of the house
- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and decks.
- Five of the seven bedrooms, plus both living rooms, feature a smart TV where you can access all the main streaming services.
- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options
- Guests can enjoy community pool access in the summer season for a $6 per person fee.

This home is part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA) and is governed by its rules and regulations, as well as federal and state laws and local ordinances. There are short-term rentals in all MPOA neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including families with children, retirees, or owners of second homes enjoying their retreat. Please respect their privacy and property rights, along with those of other guests in our private residential community.
NOISE
Noise that is unreasonable in the judgement of MPOA or its designated agent is prohibited at any time. Quiet Hours are between 10PM and 7AM.
PARKING
All tires must be off the roadway. DO NOT BLOCK FIRE HYDRANTS! Our private neighborhood roads are “highways” for law enforcement purposes per Rockingham County ordinance.
Do not park adjacent to any other homes or lots unless this home’s owner or property manager has told you he/she has explicit permission for you to do so.
Parking rules violators may be subject to having their vehicles towed.
If you cannot park all your vehicles on this property or on the adjoining shoulder of the road, overflow parking is available at the MPOA Owners’ Swimming Pool parking lot at 4007 Peak Drive.
NOTE: Buses, campers, and RV’s may not be parked at houses or along neighborhood roads. With prior MPOA approval, they may be parked in the overflow lot during your stay.

My extended family had a wonderful time together at the cottage. The space and furnishings were just right—everyone had a cozy space to sleep. We made good use of the large table by the kitchen and also the deck outside. The various families all found enjoyable activities, including golf, pickleball, mini golf, hiking, and river tubing. We would love to return!

The pictures do not do the house justice. It is a beautiful, spacious home. The house was clean , but it probably needs a deep clean (walls, windows, kitchen cabinets). The cooking utensils may need to be updated, but we were able to cook without issue. They had all sorts/sizes of pots and pans. It is super close to tubing and skiing/snowboard (within 7 minutos). Communication with owner was easy and quick. Overall we loved the house and enjoyed our stay!

We stayed at this house as part of a reunion. The house was spacious and had plenty of room for all of our family to have our own spaces but also had a a lot of common areas to gather. Everything was clean and the communication was great. The location can’t be beat!

This property was the perfect setting for a family coming from 3 different states. The house was exactly as presented and Dave is a fantastic host. Massanutten Resort is huge. We went horseback riding while others went fishing and exploring the many sights within the resort property. My only complaint is with the waterpark. I brought a customer service issue to the waterpark management's attention that was completely ignored.

This house accommodated our family reunion very well. We had 11 adults staying overnight at the house and up to 13 people for meals. It was affordable and roomy and helpful to have 4 full bathrooms. The host was attentive to our needs, responded promptly to my texts, and gave us thorough information in advance. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. I would stay here again!

Didn’t spend a whole lot of time at the house because we were on campus a lot of the time, but everything went perfectly. House is roomy, beds were comfortable, everything was pretty much as described. Only complaint is there was only one wine glass. Obviously, that’s easy to get around. Everything else was great.

We had a fantastic time staying in Massanutten. The listing was just as described and the host was very accommodating and helpful. We had 10 adults and 5 kids and there was more than enough room for all of us. We would highly recommend this spacious home.

The house was perfect for our entire family, my husband and me, our adult children and their families. The kids were able to play games or watch a movie downstairs while the adults played games upstairs. There was plenty of room for us to prepare meals and eat them. We played corn hole on the lower deck and used the grill on the upper deck. We spent the day doing many of the activities at the resort and went to the pool. It was the perfect family gathering for all. Four bathrooms is great when there are 15 people living there!

I rented this property to celebrate my son's graduation from a nearby college. We had 3 different families stay and this property accommodated us all perfectly! Kitchen was well-appointed and the large dining table was great! The huge deck and grill was also a plus. There was also plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again!

The house is very spacious and as described. The double washer and dryer was helpful fornmultiple loads of towels. It is in a great location for quick access for all Massanutten has to offer. David was quick to respond to all questions. We would stay again.

Our Family absolutely loved this property! We enjoyed our time together both inside this spacious house and also outside in the backyard and walking nearby roads. The two family rooms accommodated the teens/children on bottom floor and the parents/grandparents on upper floor. We certainly appreciated (and used!) the extra refrigerator and washer/dryer stored in the garage. Another love: the upper/lower full decks...beautiful outdoor space! Our only suggestion would be to consider a game table of some such (fooseball, etc) in the open wide hallway just between family room on bottom floor outside the largest bedroom. Also, we would have loved to see a floorplan ahead of time or additional photos to view online. Overall, a GREAT place and we loved the Shenandoah Valley area! Blessings to you for allowing this family vacation to occur.
