Within the village is a small shop and delicatessen, and the property is surrounded by beautiful countryside walks and perfectly positioned for visiting the stunning North Norfolk coastline with its wealth of sandy beaches, and RSPB bird and nature reserves. East Dereham is also home to the Mid-Norfolk Railway, you can also enjoy an 11-mile trip through the countryside, into the historic market town of Fakenham.
Wells-next-the-Sea, 25 miles, offers an excellent wide sandy beach with colourful beach huts, a small shopping town centre with many inns and restaurants, and a picturesque fishing harbour - popular for fresh shellfish. The traditional seaside towns of Heacham and Hunstanton, 33 miles away, offer an array of activities for all ages. Many places of historical interest and stately homes are within the surrounding area. The Royal Sandringham Estate and Museum, 24 miles away, is open to visitors when the Royals are not in residence.
