About this house rental

Home farm barn is a magnificent 5 bedroom house with a wonderfully calming interior, you’ll feel yourself relax the moment you step inside. Sleeping up to 10 guests across 5 bedrooms and welcoming two well behaved dogs, Home farm barn has enough space to comfortably accommodate everyone.
The open plan dining area and homely lounge is a social space with comfortable sofas and a warming wood burner, it is the ideal spot to socialise and chill. High ceilings and wooden beams make this tastefully decorated room feel both spacious and cosy. There’s also a separate TV room with a Smart TV, which makes the perfect space for a movie night.
The large, contemporary fitted kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to cater for your group. Patio doors lead onto the garden terrace with a table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee.
When night time falls, you’ll be spoilt for choice with 5 comfortable bedrooms all with luxury Hypnos beds, comprising of super king beds and twins as well as two bathrooms. One bedroom is located on the ground floor and four bedrooms are located on the 1st floor.

The location is ideal for walkers, with circular routes from the estate, walk along the River Thames or head in the opposite direction to Marsh Baldon or Toot Baldon where you will find the Mole Inn and Seven starts both lovely village pubs a perfect pit stop for a bite to eat.
The park & ride into Oxford is just a 10 minute driveaway, there is also a bus stop in Nuneham Courtenay village directly into Oxford.
The Westgate Shopping Centre is the main retail area in Oxford with quality shops along with a roof top area with bars and restaurants. Also, you can visit the historic Covered Market with its bustle of independent shops, butchers, greengrocer, cafes. Amongst many things to do in the City, you could try your hand at punting, visit the sites that featured in ‘Morse’ and other TV dramas as well as the University buildings and The Story Museum
Blenheim Castle, Bicester Retail Village and the Cotswolds are on the doorstop as well as Henley-on-Thames.
Next door to the Estate is the Harcourt Arboretum with historic links to the Estates previous owners the Harcourt family. Marvel at the collection of trees, and many interesting events.
For those who enjoy active pursuits, just down the road is Queenford Lane – for open water swimming, water sports and during the warmer months ‘Wet n Wild’. Nearby walking routes can take in the beautiful scenery at the Wittenham Clumps, and up into the Chiltern Hills for walking / running / biking trails.

● Please park in the car park/designated spaces at all times for safety reasons
● Please bear in mind there are local residents living on the estate when it comes to noise later in the evening. We actively encourage outdoor living but with consideration to neighbours. Sound travels!
● Please restrict noise between 10pm and 8am.
● Dogs are to be kept under full control at all times, please clear up after them and be mindful of muddy paws in the properties.
● Dogs must not be left unattended in properties unless in the correct cage.
● All children of school leaving age and under must be supervised at all times. This is a working estate with tractors and farm machinery on the estate at times, there is the open water at the bottom of the lane.
● Please ensure supervision of children under school leaving age when by the lake. There are throw lines in case of need but supervision is vital in this area, at all times.
● The Walled Garden is strictly out of bounds to everyone.
● Throughout the year there are shooting activities so please be mindful if any information is passed to you by the Estate Team.
● Please do not stray off Public Footpaths or into ‘Out of Bounds’ areas.
● Please do not smoke near external heating units (Vaillant) outside of properties around the site.
● Guests are not permitted to use naked flames or candles inside the premises.
● When cooking, please use kitchen facilities in a safe manner and never leave food cooking unattended. Instruction booklets are in each property for the safe use of equipment.
● Only those persons booked to stay in our properties can stay, and additional overnight guests are not allowed. Do get in touch, it may be that we have some other available accommodation for them.
● Please ensure properties are locked and windows shut when the property is left vacant.
● All valuables left in the property or on site, at any time, are at Guest’s own risk. Please take care of your possessions.
● Only new or nearly portable appliances are to be brought into the property. Please don’t bring or use faulty personal electrical items to the properties, eg with damaged cables, plugs, casings etc.
● Electric bikes and scooters can only be charged and stored in the Storage Shed and at owners risk. They are not to be stored in the holiday accommodation. Please bring padlocks for these items.
● No furniture to be placed on the upper landing to prevent falls.
● Please take care on the oak staircase. If wearing loose slippers or socks, exercise caution and take time using the bannister to come down/up the stairs.
● Due to the drainage system please do not flush anything down the toilets other than toilet paper. We also can only use eco products for washing up, dishwashes and cleaning as it could cause problems with the drainage system.
