Villa Alegria is a wonderful 5-bedroom holiday home located in a quiet area of Olhos de Água, Albufeira. This villa has all your family will need with plenty of space outdoors, a large private swimming pool and jacuzzi. With stunning views of the surrounding countryside and just a 15-minute walk from some of the best golden sandy beaches, local bars and restaurants, Villa Alegria is the perfect home for your family holiday.
This contemporary villa offers free Wi-Fi and air conditioning in all rooms. Suitable for guests with limited mobility, it provides a wheelchair ramp and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. The villa also has several entrances and a separate wing in the house for those who wish to enjoy the local night life while returning home secure in the knowledge they will not disturb those who are already asleep.
There are a total of 5 bedrooms; 3 double bedrooms (2 with en-suite bathrooms) and 2 twin bedrooms, as well as 2 additional bathrooms. The large family kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and utensils, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, electric hob, oven, dishwasher and a washing machine. The kitchen has direct access to the BBQ and outdoor eating area for you to enjoy summer meals outside. The living / dining room is spacious with comfortable seats, TV, and leads out onto the wonderful terrace overlooking the swimming pool and surrounding countryside.
The lower floor provides endless entertainment with a complete games room with darts, a pool table, table football and ping-pong.
Villa Alegria offers a private swimming pool and a jacuzzi (pool heating and the use of the jacuzzi are optional extras), air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a games room, a beautiful and well maintained garden and an impressive traditional Algarvean brick BBQ, ideal for al fresco meals and to entertain friends and family in a perfect holiday setting.
The property is completely walled, has a pedestrian gate leading to the entrance area of the villa and an automatic gate to facilitate the access to several vehicles. The pool terrace and garden are located at the back of the property.

The Olhos d'Água beaches are just a 12-minute walk away. We were a large family group of 12 with age ranges from 2 years to 60 years. The villa and resort were enjoyed by us all, esp the swimming pool and games room.

We had another amazing week at this villa. From the initial booking stage right through to our departure, the team have been fabulous. Olivia and Karen were extremely helpful with booking additional services, i.e., airport transfers and excursions . The driver who took us on our transfer to portimao for our boat trip was also extremely helpful and really friendly. The villa location is great and the amenities in the villa were fabulous. I would recommend this villa and algarve vacation as they provide an excellent service. Thank you.

We had a great holiday, Lovely Villa, very spacious with everything that we needed. Property was as described. Slight delay on changing of the towels but was soon rectified. Master bedroom tap was very poor, the dishwasher did not clean very well and we ended re-washing most things by hand. There was a green tinge around the pool water line which possibly the cause of 2 members of the family getting ear ache. But overall a very good holiday in a nice part of the world.

Algarve vaxation were superb. The villa is very nice and we have re-bboked fo rlats year. We were dissapointed to be charged for linen damage when the sheets were wafer thin and we only created some holes by movingh in our sleep.

A fantastic villa in a great quiet location within easy walking distance of the many restaurants and shops and only just over 10 minutes walk to the sea which is a lovely little beach.
Also great location to be able to get out and see more of the area including many of the top golf courses.

Fantastic outdoor space around the pool and hot tub. Some minor complaints were that the BBQ was dirty and rusty (we didn't bring it up at the time as we didn't intend to use it), we lost the water supply to the home a couple of times and some of the bathroom/shower fittings were beginning to show their age. Overall though, a great place for a large group of people. Property manager staff were very good and there is a good choice of restaurants in the town.

On line information reflects high quality of this villa. We spent quite a lot of time within the accommodation as the weather was very inclement and the facilities allowed us to have a really enjoyable experience despite the weather.

The situation of the villa was fantastic. A quiet residential area with open spaces all around. The pool and verandas are south facing and not overlooked so sun all day. We did have the pool heated which meant it was in constant use along with the jacuzzi later in the evening. We tended to use the beach early in the morning as with the younger children it became very hot and then spent the rest of the day at the villa. Ideal for a relaxed family holiday which is what we wanted.
Shopped for fresh produce, bread and meat in the local market (by Intermarche) usually walking, although we also had a car. Restaurants of all variations were close by and covered all price ranges.The beach was a little further but still walkable for all of us from age 4 to 63 and accessible for a buggy.
Communication with Algarve (Olivia and Karen) was quick and efficient especially the highchair I forgot!
A slight negative some updating is required especially with the kitchen/cooking equipment which could do with updating but we made do and it didn't detract from our enjoyment in any way.
We would definitely have returned but unfortunately our family group has now increased so we will need something slightly larger!

Just returned from a week in this villa and we really enjoyed ourselves. The villa had everything we needed and was in an ideal location for exploring the local area by foot.
We were a group of three different families and the bedrooms were set out so we all had our own space.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

The villa was OK, however we were disappointed with the lack of essentials left I.e. no washing liquid, clothes, oil, salt pepper etc.
The villa wasn't cleaned to an excellent standard especially in the bathrooms. We needed to request a towel change as it hadn't been done when advised it would be.
The villa is in a lovely location though with beach and restaurants just a short walk away.
The heated pool was great and hot tub, however we paid extra for heating these.

A casa estava conforme prometido, limpa e com todos os extras referidos. A piscina, a churrasqueira e o salão de jogos foram os espaços mais valorizados.O facto de a casa ter variadas visitas ao longo da semana em que la estivemos. Num dos dias foi uma pessoa fazer as boas vindas, noutro dia um senhor foi tratar da piscina, noutro dia foram cortar a relva, noutro dia foram apresentar programas de atividades, etc. estes serviços deviam ser centrados num ou 2 dias e, de preferência, no dia de chegada ou saída da casa.

Family had a great week away in villa alegria. ideal location in olihos de agua. 5 min walk to nearest cafe/bars nice restaurants for food at reasonable prices. I’ve been to many villas but none come anywhere near as beautiful as this one absolutely loved it. Will definitely be booking again.

I am so satisfied to choose this villa! First of all, it is very big but cosy very clean and spacious place. Perfect for the big families.
We requested the pool to be heated & Jacuzzi which was a perfect idea. There was an excellent BBQ which we used on several occasions and the games room was also very popular. The location of this place makes the sun stay all day there.
Miguel was very helpful and professional. If we had some questions or problems, he didn’t hesitate to help us.
We spent there one week, and we loved it! Completely recommended.

We had a great time in the Algarve, our kids loved the dolphins boat trip. The property is located in a quiet area but just a few minutes from the cafe, supermarket and taxi rank. It was perfect to rest. The kids were always busy as the Villa provides much to do. We paid extra to add the pool heating and it was well worth. Spacious, clean and very well equipped. Will definitely come back.

Stayed at villa Alegria with some friends and had a great time. The property is very well located. Clean, nicely decorated and close to restaurants and the beach. Olivia and the local reps were 5* and the property met all our expectations.

Having stayed at this villa before I know how amazing it could have been. The location is fab & villa a good size with a lovely pool. However it is really in need of some maintenance to make it great again, there were just too many things that needed replacing or repairing.
The biggest issue was that we had no water on & off for around 48 hours, and whilst the local management company were quick to answer calls they weren’t so good at keeping us updated as to when someone would be out to fix the problem.
Such a shame as these issues really spoilt what would have been a lovely holiday

This villa has everything that you need for the perfect family holiday. Beautiful clean pool & gardens, fully equipt bbq/dining area, hot tub, plenty of bathrooms & en-suites, huge kitchen that is fully stocked with everything you may need. The office staff dealing with our holiday were helpful and accommodating. We had a couple of hiccups where the water went off over night but that was sorted out really quickly & the kettle blew its fuse but this was replaced within a couple of hours. Quiet location in short walking distance to supermarkets and shops. €10 to get into Albufeira by taxi. The water park was a really good day out, it’s huge so go early to try & fit everything in to your day. We had a great holiday here in this beautiful villa, I would definitely recommend it!!

Unfortunately the booking/payment process through HomeAway and Algarve Vacations had issues with requests from both for payment and HomeAway losing track that the holding deposit was paid. I would return but on the basis I dealt directly with the owners.
