LOCATION & clean
Bed was very uncomfortable. We could feel the springs when laid on the bed
4.0
The room was quiet as I am a light sleeper. Very clean spacious, good natural light with good blackout curtains also. The only thing missing was a bottle of water. The bathroom was clean and very spacious and very easy to use with good quality shower gels, shampoo and body lotions.
Lack of bottles of water. The room did not have any USB outlets for charging. No hair dryer was present.
4.0
Location within walking distance to places where we are interested in as well as the parks nearby.
Don’t like that the shower being in the long bath. Rather just have a shower cubicle. It’s unsafe for seniors having to climb in as it’s slippery and may cause a fall. The receptionist on our check in doesn’t have a smile and warm face.

The room was a great size for four adults. Plenty of room. Clean and comfortable and we appreciated the toiletries that were left and the coffee/tea centre. It had a great view of the back garden and I really enjoyed watching small foxes romping around early in the morning! We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to leave our luggage on the last day so that we could do a little more sightseeing before moving on to our next destination. We really appreciated this service and were pleased about the fact that they kept our luggage in a secure space. The staff were very accommodating, even lending out umbrellas as it did nothing but rain!

The location
3.0
Location excellent. Staff friendly. Room was clean, but see comments.
Little details in the room were poor. Tidy up the door fittings. You need support handrails in the high sided baths and non-slip mats. The desk in the room looked tatty and its drawers wouldn't stay shut. A cheap desk mat could cover the worn desk top.
3.0
The location of the hotel is perfect, right next to Russel Square where you can sit and watch the world go by. Also it's only a 10 minute walk down to the West End.
We booked an executive twin and the room was nice and big and the double beds very comfy.
Our room was in the basement with no view at all. We had booked 12 months in advance so would have expected better. The window opened out to a yard where the staff kept going in and out of at all times so we could not leave the window open. The wardrobe only had short hanging space so all our long dresses were dragging on the floor.
The kettle is plugged in the wardrobe on a high shelf which is quite dangerous when you are short and trying to get a boiled kettle out.
The staff are mixed, we had a gentleman who helped us with our TV who was so nice and also the lady on reception when we first left our bags was lovely but everyone else a bit surly.

location
we were placed in a basement level room and it was not noted upon making reservation.
the front office staff upon check in was not very accommodating
5.0
Great breakfast. Perfect location, on the most helpful subway line Piccadilly.
One of the concierges was new and the job and could not give good directions or advice. All the other desk staff were terrific.
4.5
Nice spacious room , great breakfast with exceptional servers
A little tired, air conditioning old , our windows couldn’t open for security reasons being on the first floor. Some of the staff very surly
4.0
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was good for the length of stay. Lots of transport and food options close by. Good location and price for the room.
3.5
It was well located and friendly staff
It needed new carpets and some maintenance.
Shower over bath was not easy to get into.

Breakfast was good
The treatment of the staff at the reception was unacceptable when I told them that I was robbed and I had lost my wallet where I kept all my money, credit cards, my passport and ID and driving license upon my arrival to the hotel. They behaved as if I was a leper! They did not let me to the room although I had a reservation, they refused to help although I had managed to cancel my stolen card and submitted them the new digital card to reimburse the amount they need to charge. The next morning staff at the reception did not know anything about my situation and almost had a hostile attitude towards me. This time I had to tell them the whole story again and had to warn them that they were not allowed to touch or move my luggages in any circumstances since they needed to find my card details which I had given the hotel the day before and charge other 2 nights to that card in due respect. I had to leave for my Consulate appointment to get a temporary passport and the reception kept being indifferent to the problem I was going through.
I wish I had never had to go through this absurdity and I expected some decent and professional attitude. On the contrary their hospitality was so poor and staff was almost ignorant of what they were supposed to do to help a customer in my situation. Never ever again I would step inside this hotel.

Location
We had room 13 - and at 4:45am the staff in the breakfast room started stomping around and dropping things etc. Was like a heard of elephants, had such a bad sleep with such a creaking floor!
4.0
Very comfortable and clean.
We were happy that we had a view over the garden.
Excellent breakfast!
Useful shops nearby, and restaurants. Pretty close to tube. Buses almost at the door.
The shower itself worked well but having to stand in a narrow curvy bath is really not good enough for such a hotel. And getting in and out of the shower was difficult. Adding a bar or two in the shower area would help. But actually it needs to be revamped completely. Perhaps one of the Grange managers should try it. (Do they ever?) Quite dangerous if you’re short.
A couple of shelves and hooks in the bedroom would have been helpful.
A pity perhaps that the only public lounge space was space was in the hallway.
Note: the arm of the bathroom mirror in room 201 (I think that was the number) needs attention and the arm of the bedside light nearer to the window has become very floppy.
Instructions for the fan are needed.
Please ask the staff NOT to hang towels inside the glassed-off bath area. Clambering in and out of a high bath to get them every day is not okay. (So you need to put in more towel rails.)

The hotel was very well situated, an easy walk to shops and The British Museum. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed and the staff were very helpful.

The location and size of room.
Pillows were old and very lumpy. Past their useful life span
4.0
Nice sized room and the bathroom was also a good size. Very clean, and included a tray with electric kettle and cups, tea bags, coffee etc. Sunny breakfast room, nice cooked breakfast and lovely buffet on offer. The room was blessedly quiet even though the hotel is within a 15 min walk of the hopping theater district with all its restaurants and pubs and cafes. We saw a wonderful play at the Noel Coward Theater one night and walked back to the hotel after the show feeling very safe. Very communicative and welcoming young lady at the front desk. Convenient to the St. Pancras International Station where we caught the Eurostar to Paris quite early on our last morning in London.
Nothing not to like. All in all, a nice clean quiet convenient London hotel, well furnished and well run.
2.5
it was clean, staff lovely
The room was on a slant if someone wasn’t steady on their feet they’d definitely fall over. TV crap NO sky I’d love to know how old the tv was
3.5
We found this hotel to be in a good location and comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean
The room was on the small side and we had one chair to share between us for our stay. The other person had to sit on the bed when reading. There was some noise from the roadway at night from traffic and late night revellers. but to be expected in a city, so not really a problem.
3.5
Love the location. And they had a suite That was spacious enough for two moms with teens.
there was no courtyard to sit outside, although there was a beautiful park across the street. No real dining or coffee within. no place to get ice or heat up food strictly a comfortable place to rest your head at night.
3.0
The location. The room size was decent .
Single glazed windows meant that it was very noisy and difficult to sleep due to late night revellers.
3.0
near stores and center of attractions. staff are friendly and they let me stay in the lobby for 2 hours after the check out while waiting for my husband.
the linens were felt unclean (itchy to skin) and the AC was very poor so we had to use the provided electric fan. there were no slippers and the corrider going to our room smelled like moulds.
4.0
Great location
Room too small in comparison to previous two stays where had a much bigger room ( must have been upgraded previously but was unaware so assume all rooms the same)
TV didn’t work so had to get workman out who did fix it eventually
4.0
Great location. Close to tube, British mueum and good restaurants.
Boswell laundry a 3 minute walk.... handy for mid trip freshening.
Pricey for tiny room and no breakfast. Had difficulty with shower controls and set up. Room arrangement felt awkward. And we are seasoned travelers.
3.5
Large bright room with three large windows, quiet location
Inflexible attitude of the manager
4.5
I made the booking at very short notice but was welcomed with open arms. I paid for a normal room but was upgraded to a superior room. I forgot some personal items at the previous hotel (which was affiliated) and the receptionist went to collect it on my behalf. The people at the reception so friendly and helpful. Loved my stay there thank you very much.
