Amazing location with breathtaking ocean views, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and a glorious patio overlooking the sea.

The title is Villa Suk but it is actually a condo with a patio. The view is spectacular from the patio and two out of three bedrooms as the third bedroom looks out to a wall. The kitchen is terrible even the coffee machine which is so ancient you feel lucky after a couple of tries to get a coffee. No amenities so we had to go to the store to get essentials ie dish soap etc. All is all the place does not reflect what is shown on the photos except the view. Cleanliness was below average especially in the bathroom. As it is a condo you have very close neighbors to the left and right. The first evening was awful as our neighbors were drunk and extreme loud. Thank goodness they left the next day and as the complex was empty we had quiet.

Absolutely incredible location on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Overall, the listing is accurate with a decently equipped if smallish kitchen. Some of the items in the kitchen could stand to be updated, such as the espresso maker.
The sofa in the living room, while stylish, is wildly uncomfortable. 100% foam and extremely low to the ground from a seating standpoint.
Mattresses could also stand to be updated, though they were more comfortable than we expected on first inspection.
All said, though, you're gonna to spend 90% of your time at this property on the patio, which is absolutely glorious.

We found this apartment to be just as we expected. The pool was still open and it was well enjoyed by our group. We were a group of 5 senior but active gents on a reunion trip and we all loved our stay at Condominio Il Suk. We all agreed we’d be thrilled to return at some point in the future. It served us well! Very pleased.

Loved staying at this location. A bit dated but lovely.
However, be ready to figure out how to get groceries, toilet paper and such because it is not close to shopping. There are a few small markets that you can walk to within a mile, but to get to the grocery store you will need to drive/bus or cab. And driving is very difficult in town: extremely narrow roads and difficult parking. But the apartment is lovely and the pool was wonderful, as was the sea access below.

A fantastic stay in a beautiful location. The view from the Villa is second to none..just fantastic. A quick cable car ride to get up to all the restaurants and bars, and the beach area at the property is sweet! Thank you for a great stay. Also walking distance to everything.

As we arrived following a long drive from Palermo any stress instantly disappeared. We were greeted by the building manager Antonella and guided into our reserved place in possibly the worlds most scenic car park.
Antonella took us down to the villa cut into the cliff with a wonderful garden area and yet more amazing views. Then onto the gravity defying wet edge pool and down through the cliff face to the rock beach next to the grotto where daily you felt like royalty in your own exclusive enclave.
At night we’d take the cable car up to Taormina and explore the wonderful town, laneways, bars and restaurants.
Words and pictures can’t do justice to Villa suk. We visited in early June, the weather was great and we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
Thanks to Antonella and Cristiano for being on hand if we needed them. A wonderful holiday.

We had a marvelous stay in this truly stunning condo. Unparalleled views from two of the three bedrooms, the main living area, two decks and the back yard. The decor is unique, classy and functional. The facility itself is also remarkable w a beautiful (but not heated) ocean fed infinity pool and an elevator down to a rock overlook of the ocean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.

We loved our week in Villa Suk and the terrace and its views were a treat to come back to after our excursions. The host’s info pack is very helpful and comprehensive. The walk to the local shops and cable car/bus to Taormina is busy, as other reviewers say, but is perfectly do-able and you are not bothered by traffic noise at the villa. It’s great to have a dedicated parking space in the large carpark at the villa. The kitchen is small and basic as can be seen from the photos on the listing which are very accurate.. The bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. The bathroom on the 2nd floor (up some exterior steps accessed from the 1st floor landing) seems new and very good and the main bathroom fie the two main bedrooms is spacious but with a smaller shower cubicle. Our friends felt that more luxurious towels would have been nice.

The location was amazing- stunning views of Isola Bella from the terrace - one of the best views we have ever had. Lovely pool and the beach area was excellent with loungers and access to the sea. Several good restaurants within walking distance.

Wonderful apartment with inspirational sea views
Nicely set out, good for 4 people. The back terrace overlooking the sea is its best feature. The apartment complex is well looked after with a great communal pool.

A good week
Wonderfully idiosyncratic property . We loved it. Everything we needed was there. The garden overlooking the sea was charming, cool under the beautiful olive tree. So delightful to watch the little geckos.
Everyone we encountered from Dr Basile himself to all the Sicilian people, those involved with the villa and those we met were pleasant , gentle and helpful. Rosetta was a delight and so helpful.
For us it was a special week. We were there to celebrate the part my husband, my daughters father had played in our lives. He died in January this year.
It was the perfect place to do that.
Thank you.

Steps or an elevator take you down to the sea, where you can swim between the rocks and caves and snorkel and enjoy looking at the fish. However, jellyfish sometimes prevent you from going into the water. In that case you can enjoy an outside semi-circular pool that is stuck to the rocks high above the sea. The patio is lovely and shaded with a few trees with a breathtaking view, also from the rooms on the upper floor. The apartment and kitchen is well-equipped with a washing machine on the inner-side room, opposite the corridor. The kitchen has all you need, but it would be nice if the host would leave a little of the basic needs, for example salt or dishwasher soap. We left a complete package for the next one to enjoy. The beds and showers are comfortable and the apartment is basically clean but might need some small maintenance like fixing a dripping A/C on the inner room, stoppers for the wooden shutters that slam in the wind, fixing a few tiles on the patio, fixing fly screens, etc. But this in no way diminished from us having an amazing stay. What is worth mentioning is that it is great to have your own parking spot. The Isolabella area is so narrow and stuck to the cliffs that you will not find a parking spot outside at all. We walked every morning along the narrow road to have a coffee or take the cable way to Taormina. This is quite a frightening experience: less than 1 meter shoulders, with buses and trucks pushing you to the side of the narrow road! But what the heck! this is Italy and just enjoy it if you are able to survive! Altogether we highly recommend this place!

The most stunning view in all of Isola Bella!!!!
This villa is a condo in a complex of about 20 or so units. The view from our balcony was just as you see in the photos and by far the most beautiful view in all of Isola Bella. All of the hotels and other locations have obstructed views but here you are literally hanging over the cliff. Straight down in the elevator is the private rock deck swimming area that was just amazing. There are chairs available for sunning and during the week we were pretty much the only ones there. We also used the two of the other public beaches, renting chairs and umbrellas but concluded our swimming area was much better. The complex pool was also just as it appears. It is a no edge pool with that gorgeous view. The actual condo was 3 stories. The living space and kitchen was the ground floor. We had 6 people and the couch could fit us all comfortably. The second floor had two bedrooms and a bathroom. The balconies for these two rooms have that amazing view. The third bedroom was outside and a flight of stairs up. It was just a bedroom and bathroom, not much light but perfect for sleeping. The house also had AC. We were about a 15 minute walk to the center of town where there were restaurants and markets. The tram up to Taormina was 15 minute walk. Taormina was fabulous. Just a beautiful town with shops and restaurants and a lot of night life. The information that Dr. Basile sends out prior was very helpful and very informative. He was so helpful and responsive with any questions I had. I would highly recommend this home.

Our family of 3 plus another couple stayed at Villa Suk (May 10-17). It had everything we needed. We could walk to the cable car for a short ride up the mountain to Taormina (3 euros per person one way with more incredible views ) or if you’re looking for a workout you can walk up and/or down the steps too! You can also stay in the beach town of Mazzaro where the Villa is located and have dinner at any of the places recommened by Francesco in the info package. We very much preferred staying at the Villa as a base not only because of the incredible views of Isola Bella from our terrace but Taormina was a busy place so getting back to the relaxing Villa each day —from anywhere —was a relief. Fracesco had everything ready and organized as promised. Rosetta the manager was so attentive and was waiting for us as indicated. We rented a car at Catania airport so we were able to take several day trips as well. The Villa has a parking spot! Bonus in a seaside town! Thanks to Francesco for your charming beautiful place in a magical land.

Wonderful place
The house is spacious and very clean, nice 70s decor, the kitchen is quite small but very well equipped, bedrooms are large and the living room has a confortable sofa with flat tv. Spent most of the time in the wonderful garden, it' cool especially in the afternoon so that you can relax reading a booking or having a drink while enjoying a stunning sea view on Isola Bella. The facilities are just perfect and include a panoramic pool and a private beach shared by the complex, but there is plenty of space for evrybody.

Villa Suk or should I say Villa Superb
Best holiday for years. Villa is situated in an unbelievable position with the most magnificent view over the sea. Swam everyday in the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the cliffs. Villa Suk had everything you could want and was well positioned to have a quiet time during the day at the pool or a short walk to the beach. Also a short walk to the cable car to spend the evening in the hustle and buzz of Taormina.

The flat is on two floors, lovely garden overlooking the sea, great view, fabulous shared swimming pool, excellent swimming in the sea from a private area at the base of the cliff, all very clean and well maintained, nice restaurant a short walk away.

Breathtaking view!
We were a group of 5 adults that stayed at Villa Suk for one week in October. The villa was well equipped and situated to Taormina. We enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning and drinks in the evening from our balcony which overlooked the beautiful Isola Bella. Even after several days the view was breathtaking. Francesco's detailed guide was a welcomed resource which we carried with us throughout our trip. His suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants and getting around Taormina were great! Definitely worth renting this property.

Beautiful location and perfect for the family
We stayed for the last week of October at Villa Suk and it worked out really well for our family of six - 2 parents, 2 older teenagers, a 12-year-old and 4-year-old. One of the bedrooms being a bit separate was perfect for the teenagers. The bathrooms were really good, especially the showers (an important aspect when travelling with teenagers ;-)). The kitchen is well-equipped and there is space for everyone everywhere.
The best things:
Having breakfast in the terrace with the totally amazing view of Isola Bella and the Mediterranean.
The fantastic pool area.
Closeness to the bus station, you can reach eg Taormina centre, Giardini Naxos or Catania Airport very easily.
The information pack provided by the owner tells you more or less everything you need to know, not only about the villa/property but also about Taormina as a tourist location.
The not so good things:
The walk down to Isola Bella beach area (which you will visit every day, often more than once) is not very long but most of the road there has no sidewalk and the traffic is quite intense, making the walk a bit hazardous.
There is no sun in the terrace or pool area in the afternoons or evenings.
The villa is not very close to any good supermarket/grocery store, shopping for groceries needs some planning.

Great for a group
This property is excellent for a group of adults and also a family. The private beach is perfect (until about 2 when it loses the sun). Francesco the owner is very helpful. The rooms are all very spacious and comfortable. We cooked in the kitchen twice. The place is in good condition and the garden is good to sit in to have a drink or read a book. Good location - we were a little disappointed with the Taormina beach area although Isola Bella is nice and fun to kayak around. Overall well worth a trip.

Fantastic and Glorious Stay!
We were thrilled with Villa Suk. It provided the perfect holiday for our family of two adults and two children. The views, the locale, the complex with the elevator straight down to the clearest water you can imagine, and the infinity pool were all to die for. The villa was spacious, clean, and a relaxing place to be. We hope to be back again. We were all sad to leave after a week. Francesco was lovely to deal with and provided a comprehensive info package for us including restaurants, sightseeing tips, etc. Amazing holiday!

Great Location and excellent amenities
We thoroughly recommend Villa Suk to anyone who is looking for a superb location with great facilities including an excellent shared pool and good access to the sea via a lift (or stairs) and a well maintained beach platform. Access to Taormina is good either via the funicular which is a 10 minute walk away or by car with plentiful paid parking on the edge of the old town.
The outdoor terrace is superb with excellent lounging and dining
facilities with unsurpassed views over Isola Bella. Dining here each
night as the sun went down was one of the highlights of our stay. Villa Suk is an excellent base for touring this part of Sicily with good access to the A18 about 5 minutes away. The villa itself has all necessary cooking equipment but it is not the most luxurious of places, but nevertheless very comfortable. The owner Francesco was most helpful and attentive from our first contact. Our only one minor problem was attended to immediately with regular updates on its resolution. All in all it is a great choice.

Perfetto!!!
What a wonderful 2 weeks we all had in Sicily! The accommodations were perfect for our needs and the view and location could not have been better. It was so lovely to awake to the sunrise each morning and return to the condominium at the end of each day. I know that we will all look back on our stay with great fondness.
Francesco was amazingly helpful. We met him our second day at Villa Suk and he made a number of helpful recommendations regarding restaurants and UNESCO and other sites to visit. He recommended that we go to Noto and Siracusa - both truly amazing.
We also engaged a private guide to go wine tasting - fabulous! We rented a car for 1 week and were able to travel to mount Etna, Castel Mola, Forze d'Agro, Savoca and Alcantara Gorge.
The Internet access at the condominium never worked but it was nice to finally have a break!
We drove to a large market one Sunday and purchased some of my favorite foods. We had a great time that afternoon just relaxing, drinking wine and cooking staples from my childhood in New York that we cannot get in California!
It was especially nice to meet Francesco, since we rarely meet the property owner when we travel and it really personalizes the stay so much more.
Thank you again for opening your home to us - it made the trip extra special.

The best holiday one can imagine.
We spent the most fantastic week staying at beautiful Villa Suk. From the moment we arrived and walked on to the terrace to take in the fantastic view, we fell in love with this charming villa. The villa is so well appointed and comfortable and one really has the sense of being a guest in someone's well cared for home, rather than a tourist renting accommodation. The ambience of the complex of villas, which seemed to have more Italians than overseas tourists staying there, set the scene for a week of delights. Morning swims in the complex's private swimming spot, which was reached by a fantastic lift that descends down 50 metres through the cliff to arrive at the cave leading to the crystal blue water below, followed by lunch in one of the many fabulous restaurants within walking distance. An afternoon trip to Taormina or the incredible hill top town of Castelmola, with its ancient winding streets. So much to do but such a pleasure to just be quiet with a book and a glass of wine, on the terrace. The difficult decisions of each day!
The owner, Francesco was just so lovely and helpful with local information and suggestions for trips and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
A bonus was to be able to use the internet stick which comes with the villa, with plenty of capacity for emailing.
A truly idyllic holiday, that we will never forget.

Beautiful Location for the Perfect Vacation!
A group of four girlfriends just returned from an incredible vacation at Villa Suk! Everything was exactly as described on the website and the views are even more spectacular—if that's possible. The most important aspects in selecting a vacation location to our group are the outside views, privacy, comfortable outside seating for entertaining, and proximity of fun day trips. Villa Suk was perfect! We enjoyed traveling to many lovely towns during the day and returned to the villa in the evenings to cook and enjoy the beautiful outside patio and dining area.
The bedrooms are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. The beach area is incredible and we spent a couple of hours each morning swimming in the blue water. The pool is incredible—even more beautiful than the pictures.
Francesco was very helpful to us from the very beginning. We relied on his information for getting around and finding local supermarkets, restaurants, etc. You can trust his recommendations! We were able to walk to most things we needed but also decided to rent a car for a couple of days to tour the island on our own. Though a car is not necessarily required - we thoroughly enjoyed exploring on our own.
This was our 4th trip to Italy and we all agree that it ranks at the top of our list as one of the most memorable and relaxing vacations. I highly recommend it.

A jewel on Isola Bella
Unmatched for a spectacular view, the Villa Suk is a commodious, comfortable and well-situated apartment just
below the beautiful town of Taormina.
