Location
Its not value for money- room was really small. Bathroom was so small that 2 people could not stand there at the same time

We had three rooms- the first was a suite so two rooms connected in the main hotel. Beautiful rooms and very spacious. My son and daughter in law had a suite at the Guest House. This room was very old and not really up to the standard of the Fairmont Hotel. There were chips/dents in the furniture and the paint was peeling. I let the hotel know this room needed a makeover!
The Guest House room that my kids stayed in was not what we expected for a Fairmont Property. The room smelled musty and was very old and not well kept up. It was even dusty. The furniture was very beat up and old.

Beautiful and clean

It is beautiful and well maintained. The location is perfect. The staff were amazing and made the stay so enjoyable. The hotel has a concierge service unlike any other. The tour about the hotel was terrific. There is so much to do.
The beds were not very comfortable and the suite was small for two adults and three kids. The online photos made the suite look bigger than it is. I wish I had known the true size as I would have gotten two rooms instead.

Staff are super helpful and friendly.
Lots of activities inside hotel for both adult and kids.
Nicely built and maintained castle hotel.

Renovated rooms, beautiful views, wonderful service, restaurant food was actually great and of course golfing was spectacular.
A bit chaotic with lots of outside tourists in the building. Doesn’t feel intimate or private.
4.5
The location was great. All staff were friendly and helpful. If there was a problem, staff worked to make sure it was rectified.
Also, the Fairmont excursions were excellent. Scott and Alex, two of our guides, were knowledgeable about the area and exceeded expectations.
Food was great and I loved the perks of the Gold Level.

Very nice hotel. Excellent staff. Well located.
More signage. It was difficult navigating your way around.

The ease of it all. The free bus pass into town, the trails, the splendid terrace, the selection of on site food options, the activities guide (I took the hotel history presentation), the heated pools, including the 34m lap pool, the assistance with transportation, the stores. The lap pool is the standout. If you are balking at the price, know that the founder bought land with a particular view. You will understand pricing better when you stand on the terrace and see what is before you.
I would be hard pressed to come up with anything with which to find fault.

All of the staff we encountered were exceptional at what they provided. We only stayed one night - it was a gift from our children for our 50th wedding anniversary, and we were treated like royalty wherever we went in the hotel. Especially liked the personal touches like the hand-printed anniversary card and chocolate-dipped strawberries in our room when we arrived.
The temperature in the room was little cooler than what we're used to at home but hey, it's a castle! :-)

The room was very big, comfy bed, clean, modern and a cheeky walk wardrobe. The mountain view from the room was a touch as well as the luxury coffee and toiletries, soaps etc. I asked for a last minute request (as we were checking in) for a chilled bottle of bubbly in our room for an early birthday celebration for Chloe. The staff went above and beyond.
The location is spectacular, the grounds are beautiful and grand.
The service from staff is second to none. The bars, restaurants and offerings are quite special. We were truly blown away by what the premises has to offer. We used the private bowling alley (I was victorious over Chloe after coming from behind to take the win on the final bowl), indulged in the wine and cheese tasting and met other guests, it was a lot of fun and learnt a few new things. The outside and indoor pool area is brilliant, the added bonus is having a bar in the pool area (drinking frozen margaritas whilst in the outside heated pool in Winter). The Rundles bar is a must, a large open room with the highest ceilings, marble finishes, and a swanky 1920's style ladder bar with numerous shelves stacking the highest quality spirts from around the world, stacked as high as the ceiling. A pianist is part hidden behind a grand piano on the upper floor. The elegant sound projecting perfectly across the room, it set a classy atmosphere, you feel like you're dreaming. The Castello restaurant is highly recommended. Ask about the Baverian Cottage in the woods, we both said it was the best burger we have ever had, the cocktails were in a league of their own, icing on the cake was beating Chloe at pool.
The welcome from the staff at front desk (Mim) was incredibly helpful and made our experience even better.
I could go on and on praising everything. Loved it, thank you Fairmont. Can't wait to stay with you again.
Nothing, it was faultless.

Room was a little small with little hanging space and no heated towel rail for ski clothes etc

The beds were very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and nice, helped us find a lost stuffed animal.

This was our first time staying at the Fairmont and what an experience it is! The hotel is a mini town in itself, with plenty of socializing opportunities, quiet time in the spa, a snack while you roam, dinner options, etc.
We arrived earlier than check in and the valet was there to help with any bags needing to be brought inside. The front desk held them until our room was ready. They were amazing at suggesting an upgraded view (I think it was the best one in the whole place!) We walked down the hall to the spa to see about booking something small - little 30mins massages for us both later that evening sounded great!
Earlier in the day I had booked us a cocktail making class at Rundle Bar - Vicente was great! Everything was beautifully set up with menu cards, pens to make notes, snacks and water. Highly recommend!
We stopped at Grapes for a charcuterie TOWER! All delicious options of cheeses and meats. It's a small room tucked away with one window looking out at the mountains. Nice spot for a light dinner and some drinks.
The room was amazing overall. Room #769 King bed with lush bedding. Two chairs and a table with a lamp right in front of the windows with a beautiful mountain view. TV, mini fridge, glassware, Nespresso machine, outlets, charging ports, walk in closet, etc.
My one and only complaint is the bathroom was small. While we had a good size walk-in shower, it was a little too close to the toilet.

My friends and I had been looking forward to staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs for many years now. We debated for a while about staying here or at the Fairmont Lake Louise. In the end, we're so glad that we chose the Banff Springs. It has such a historical look and vibe, and we loved every second of our stay there. The best surprise was the outdoor pool that was heated extremely warm for the winter months. We enjoyed going out there often. We also did a day pass to their spa facilities, and loved that. They also send us a text upon arrival and told us to text back if we ever needed anything. They were always so quick to respond and checked in on us often to make sure we were enjoying our stay.
We ate so much good food in town and always had leftovers. Our hotel had a fridge to store the leftovers, but it would have been nice to also have a microwave in the room to heat up and enjoy those leftovers.
