Stay was pleasant, enjoyed be close to the river, and got a really good nights sleep.

Clean and really comfortable bed and pillows.

Very small bath room was difficult to maneuver in. Also no elevator for getting luggage to second floor.

I would stay there again.

Situated in the middle of town you are close to shops and restaurants. A shuttle bus takes you to and from the airport. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It is quite noisy until late night due to the restaurants in the vicinity. With the air-conditioning on you can block most noise out.

The upscale extras in the room. Plush bath robes, nice toiletries

The parking is not ideal. They have a very small lot to accommodate about 6 to 7 small vehicles. We have a GMC pickup truck that did not fit. We had to park on the street with a two hour max meter. The visitor center gave us a pass but you really had to move every two hours because it was enforced 9AM to 5PM. Monday-Saturday.

Right in downtown next to some great restaurants and shops. The room itself was very clean, but small. The staff was friendly and responsive.

The hotel is at the edge of town, although quaint and next to the water, it is also across the street from the train station where many transient folks like to hang out. There's no elevator and many flights of stairs which made it difficult to carry luggage in and out of the room; I had to inquire about the parking which is a very small & limited area in an unmarked lot behind the hotel. I was told if there were no available spaces, I could park "4-5 blocks away" at their sister hotel. No laundry services available, again was told go to the sister hotel. Next time I will probably stay at their sister hotel or the Best Western in town.

Good stay must remember to request a room on the ground floor.

Location is excellent; the staff carried our suitcases up for us which was most appreciated. This hotel had an elevator when I last stayed there, what happened to it?

No elevator; big problem with big suitcases and arthritic knees. Limited parking.

Lovely hotel in the heart of lovely Whitehorse

Very well located, affording nice views of the Main street and/or the riverbanks with the snowy-peaked mountains behind (depending on whether you get a corner room or not). Three minutes away from MacBride Museum, and only steps away from eateries, shops and other attractions. Our room was very clean and was equipped with a large TV with many good channels (for those long nights awaiting the Aurora Borealis shuttle), as well as a Nespresso machine complete with coffee pods - super useful in the morning, after sleeping in as a result of chasing the Northern Lights. Staff at the reception was friendly, helpful, courteous and respectful (we encountered 4 different people throughout our stay).

Although the bed was a good size, the pillows were extremely thin. I know this is a problem MOST hotels have, but in this case we felt like we slept directly on the mattress, despite having 2 pillows each.

Historic hotel in a great location

Edgewater's location is perfect for a first-time visitor to Whitehorse: on the corner of Main and Front Streets, a short walk from the Visitors Information Centre, shops, cafes and restaurants. Every member of staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. The newly revamped bar/ restaurant on the ground floor - Belly of the Bison - was only open evenings while I was there (February), but the food was wonderful. Be sure to dine there at least once during your stay! Although my room was more compact than I envisioned, it was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed.

The WiFi was very frustrating, constantly 'disconnecting'. Whenever I needed to check messages or post/ send, I would stand by the door to the room (where the signal seemed to be stronger).

overall comfortable but would have appreciated the option for early check in and late check out due to flight times

Entire staff should be trained to know what the local attractions are and hours of restaurants etc. I could faintly hear music through wall until 3am from next room.

Main entrance was locked when I reached at midnight. Had to stand out in the cold (- 40 degC). Called the reception to open the door. Buzzer didnt work. Heater works well but very loud even when fan is on low Restaurant open for dinner only and closed on sunday

First of all, the room is super small and obviously not as big as they indicate in the details, and so does the bathroom(barely holding one person and no rooms for skincare stuff). And the lady at the reception is not helping at all. She told us that the restaurant would be open on the next day but when we arrived, she told us it's closed because of holidays. We only stayed here for one night although we booked for four. Super not worth it.
