Beautiful place but wouldn’t return

Beautiful We restored a Victorian home years ago so love this type

Refrigerator in our room was so noisy it would awaken me. 1st night we discovered a live small moth in the bed when we pulled down the covers. Bathroom sink drained very slowly. Bed sunk in the middle Parking was very limited and difficult

Pricey but Elegant.

Elegant older mansion in good condition. Parking was convenient. The front yard is beautiful and impressive. Our room was very large and comfortable.

Neither blow dryer was working and/or electrical outlets were not working.

A very memorable hotel for ending our trip to Ontario. Two thumbs up!

The room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and breakfast staff friendly and efficient. The hotel is walking distance to nice little restaurants.

We liked everything.

Amazing stay...highly recommended!

Everything about the place is amazing, the team at the reception, breakfast, location, the vintage appeal, bed etc.

Beautiful historic stay

Beautiful hotel, very clean, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast

Noise in morning from construction. Room was small but comfortable. Bed a little hard.

I would rate this as a 10- if the mattress situation was replaced, as everything else was stellar.

Staff were fabulous! Flexible, helpful, and engaging.

Bed mattress was very tired, and uncomfortable.

Beautiful Inn, rude and unwelcoming staff.

Gardens are beautiful, building as well. Our room was clean and very nice

The staff was rude, short and not very accommodating. Very unfortunate as it is a beautiful place to stay, but the staff made us feel unwelcome. Won’t be returning.

Beautiful old building with lovely rooms and excellent dining room.

-Beautiful old building with a lot of character. -Spacious, tastefully decorated room and large, recently updated bathroom. -Gilchrist and Soames toiletries in bathroom. -Fridge in room. -Beautiful dining room with interesting menu. -Complimentary breakfast, which included a decent mix of hot and cold items. -Pleasant staff.

-Heritage building so pipes and air conditioning are a bit noisy but not so much that it was a problem. -Enormous door key that was inconvenient to carry around. -Parking lot is very tight.

Good Hotel with Lots of Character

Interesting hotel that has lots of character. Restaurant dinner was very good. Comfy bed.

Hotel is quite dated, but, you need to know you're signing up for that if you book here. Place is a bit noisy at times with creaking floors, doors banging. They close off a section of the restaurant for breakfast so it can feel a bit cramped.

We will stay here again - great stay

Beautiful setting and lots of character in this historic building. Very easy to find and easy walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the continental breakfast that was included in our stay - fresh food options - very nice

Another memorable visit

As ALWAYS, our visit to our "home away from home", was most memorable. Our long time friends come from Windsor and we all love meeting up at this beautiful INN. The accomodations are lovely, pristine, comfortable and well appointed. Every staff member is welcoming and most hospitable. Jackie and Sarah added to our breakfast experience. Great personalities and made us feel like friends. The food was delicious and a perfect variety to choose . It is by far one of our favourite places to visit.

All in all, a special occasion.

Staff of the Inn were friendly and professional, at check in and at the event we attended. Later, both the meal and the setting on the veranda were exceptional. And wait staff went out of their way to accommodate our group.

Disappointing

The room was outdated, there was dust on the blinds, and a weird smell from the air conditioner. The breakfast was also very disappointing - the selection was very limited. We were also quite surprised to be have a member of staff drop a $0 bill so we could leave gratuity - it was a buffet, we sat and served ourselves. Plus we had paid for breakfast as part of our stay.

Exceptional

Spectacular property. A little gem in the middle of the city. We loved it. The patio and porch are magical for the meals. It was like a step back in time. Love the breakfast, which was included. Staff were all so wonderful. I can hardly wait to go back.

Large, luxurious rooms in a beautiful building.

Hotel was beautiful and very well located for a night away with my best friend. The beds were exceptionally comfy, the room was large and very clean. Unfortunately, the spa was closed on Monday so we were unable to get any treatments but we were aware of that. We truly enjoyed our stay at The Idlewyld Inn and Spa.

As a vegan (who noted this during booking), there could have been more options for breakfast provided.
