Lovely place for a short stay

staff, room, bathroom, beds and area around the hotel

Breakfast, the carpet needs a replacement as well as the elevator.

It's just a short trip to Saskatoon but we really enjoy it.

1. Location is very convenient. The hotel right in the downtown. 2. There are a lot of restaurants, shopping mall, …around. 3. Breakfast is simple but it's quite ok.

1. Parking. No private parking. We arrived to Saskatoon around 9:30 PM and a little tired, it's also a first time we came there. Then, we have to go around to find parking. Luckily we found one take 5 minutes walk to hotel. 2. No toothbrush and toothpaste.

Superb

Very friendly, staff went above and beyond extra blanket, always enough towels. Call at 4 am looking for a place they answered. Need to extand my room they made it happpen. They knew what I liked and cared. Superb.

I stayed for an extended period of time. Wish a little bit more variety in free breakfast. I know it's an older hotel, and a hook inside shower would be an asset. But for us it worked great.. better than many newer hotels, and I stayed almost 3 weeks.. Thank you all.

Great location, mattress can sure be changed

Location and in hotel pub

Poor mattress, they have continuous coil matters in 2023. Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in a hotel at. Also the heat/ AC in the room was too loud. Woke me up at 3:30 am when it turned up to maintain the room temperature.

Quirky hotel in a good location with an excellent pub.

Our room was situated above the door to the pub. It got a little noisy.

Hotel was great and the meal at Flannigans was great but very pricey.

The Hotel was way better than we had hoped for, rooms clean and well appointed but hallway had a bit of a funky smell and hallway furniture was well worn.

We were supposed to get 10% of our drinks at Winstons Pub but they overcharged us for the drinks and didnt give us the 10% discount, they were busy and I didnt want to make a fuss so we just paid, our waitress was very friendly, but they sent a replacement waitress to collect the bill.

The charm of the old style and location is convenient

The continental breakfast. Muffins and coffee were burnt. Kind of basic. Would have been nice to have options like bagels or cereal etc.

Appalling and such a shame as the hotel could be wonderful with the right personnel and a bit of tlc

Location was good

Staff unhelpful and unfriendly. Room was basic... noise from buskers was appalling and lasted until midnight... No offer to discount room and we had to insist we get moved to another room which was much smaller and overlooked the parking lot. Continental breakfast consisted of odd looking muffins, apple or orange... no teabags provided at breakfast or in room only pod coffee. No fresh milk provided only creamer which isn't suitable for tea!!!

I was surprised it was rated so high.

The location is good.

The walls were leaking water in the hallways, the armoire was covered with dust inside. the lady at the front desk was quite odd and unhelpful.

Exceptional

We absolutely love staying at The Senator every time we visit Saskatoon. It’s been a couple years due to the pandemic, but we’re happy to see Denesh’s (sp?) smiling face again! The bed’s are always so comfy and the rooms always so clean. Love the new breakfast room as well! Such a unique hotel and well worth the price. See you again soon!

Beautiful historic hotel with a great location and exceptionally friendly staff.

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff in a historic area right downtown. Although the hotel parking was full, it was free from 8pm-8am right infront. Cozy room, and an overall great stay without any hassle! Bonus, breakfast snacks to go.

ideal location!!

parking is bad. i paid for downtown parking and still got a ticket. so now I have to deal with that. a few more breakfast options would have been nice. even instant oatmeal packages or plain bread for toast.
