Nice place to just sleep as long as the day is not extermely warm, no AC but there was a fan in the room.

The property was close to our daughter’s apartment therefore; we were happy not to have to walk very far.

No AC, first night was very warm and uncomfortable.

I am very likely to book here again on my next trip to Halifax and I would recommend it to family and friends.

Perfect location for wandering around and enjoying the city. Loved that it was quiet, and having access to a kitchen and laundry was great. Cozy room, comfy bed!

Really enjoyable!

Great location and really nice place to stay. Owners were very helpful - didn’t have a hairdryer in my room and they sorted it within 15 minutes. Would absolutely recommend and absolutely stay again.

Bed was slightly creaky but not a huge problem.

It was an amazing stay.They satff is very kind.The place is very hygienic.Its a super comfortable and peacefull place.There have all the facilities.The location is bang on.You have all the restraunts and drung mart near by.I wouls recommend this place to everyone out there.

There was nothing i dint like.It was just perfect for me.

An AirB&B type small hotel with affordable price. Don't expect any regular hotel type facilities.

We stayed at the Novel-Stay altogether for 4-nights with 2-rooms. It's an AirB&B type small hotel with affordable price. All the major locations are in walking distance. The facilities such as the common kitchen and the shared bathrooms are in good condition. Some units have a personal bathroom but with clear glass and no shower curtain...

It's probably a residence turned into a hotel. No lobby, no reception, no front desk, not staff, no TV. Use the common kitchen for any food or cooking related services...

Cozy, great value for money, great location, lovely atmosphere, home away from home.

The place felt very comfortable, like a home away from home. The other guests and residents were friendly, and the location couldn’t be beat! I never met the staff face to face, but they were very prompt, accommodating, and kind over email and I heard wonderful things about them from the guests who had been there longer.

I wasn’t sure if the heater was on in my room, but honestly it didn’t matter. :)

Great location at a good price

We loved the location and the convenience of the apartment. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - kitchen for making breakfast, separate living area for hanging out and a great location for walking everywhere in town.

The description of the apartment was different from what we got but we were very happy with it! Also, we could have used an extra blanket.

Will find alternative accommodations next time in Halifax.

There is a TV but no cable. There were zero instructions on how to get the TV functional (supposedly after our stay we were informed you need to install Chromecast on a smart phone and cast using your phone). There was no AC, a fan was provided, however if you attempted to open a window it required a prop to keep it open (a beer can works), however there are no screens on the windows an it was perfect for insects to enter the premises. For security reasons you didn't want to leave the rear patio door open when leaving so there was no cross breeze in the apartment. There were bath towels but no hand towels and no dish towels - weird! The place needs some maintenance. All in all we were a bit disappointed.

This was a quiet and excellent location for a stay in Halifax & the manager was very accommodating.

We liked having the option of a private bath, but the shower/toilet combo was a unique feature. The location of the place was fabulous and it was very quiet within the actual rental building. The option of having a telephone to make calls within country and beyond (even thought we did not use this), was a very nice feature. The place felt very homey- beautiful artwork as well.

The coffee pot didn't work for us, and the remote control needed replacement of batteries.

Spacious and clean room. Excellent location. Small fridge in the room. Easy contactless check-in.

The room was too hot. I couldn't open the windows (Hopefully there was a fan in the room). It'd have been nice to have a mirror in the room

Excellent place in downtown

It is a small apartment feels like second home. It has all the required appliances, good storage space, and a kitchen. It is very close to all tourist places. So we could easily walk to all places. One of the interesting parts is that many restaurants are nearby. You can stay here for long period of time.

The showerhead was not good. And I suggest to keep some sugar and whitner for the coffee machine. Apart from this nothing to say.

Budget friendly hotel in the heart of Halifax

The kitchen is well stocked. The location is awesome as It's in the heart of downtown and everything is 15 minutes away. The neighborhood is quiet. A good budget Friendly accomodation.

The beds are very low and don't feel sturdy. The rooms are pretty small. The washroom is really small. No views from the window.

Lovely stay in Halifax

The room was very clean, the hotel had everything I needed, the bed was very comfortable, the room had a window and hence it was bright. I also enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel-- everything was pristine! The location was great-- I was in walking distance to many restaurants, the waterfront and the citadel. The staff were very helpful, accommodating, responsive and kind. I will definitely come back! :D
