Charming home away from home

Lovely decor and all the amenities of home. Perfect location.

It was a little warm, being on the top floor. The air conditioner was too loud to have on overnight.

Overall very nice place good location. Tough parking with a large vehicle but doable.

The heat was set quite high when we arrived. I believe it was almost 80. Not a big deal but because of the heated floors it takes so long to cool down we were quite warm for our one day stay.

This place helped me to settle emotionally at an important time, as well as supporting creativity.

I really enjoyed the feel of the place, and all the care that has gone into the little details of the place, the artistic touches, the warmth and character.

The only thing for me were the lights across the street that were obnoxiously pointing toward the b&b, unfortunately. This is nothing against the hosts, just a reality of the location. Considering this is a downtown location for people who want that convenience, naturally there will be more noise and lights than a remote location.

excellent position in town, very clean, good bed, comfortable furniture, great parking all you need to cook and stay in comfort

weekdays dentist upstairs can be noisy early in the morning but not always, could not turn off the rangehood and was noisy at night but is being fixed soon apart from these minor concerns it is a great place to stay

It was a short but wonderful stay. I would definitely return there again.

The property was close to everything. A short walk and we were in the heart of Nelson. I also love the privacy of the location and accessibility.

I did not find anything that was wrong with the property.

We hope to return soon, likely next spring, although the fall would be very good as well.

Great location walking to downtown services and restaurants. It is also very convenient to leave the city for many trips in the area, including to Kaslo, and the Slocan valley. A very comfortable suite, with an air conditioning unit, which we used in the evenings.

Headroom a bit low in the corners. We stayed in the Valhalla, an attic suite, so slope in the corners of the ceilings. A tall person over 6 feet would need to take care, but certainly not a real problem. There could be a real ( free standing?) clothes closet, but it would be very difficult to place in the space of the suite. There are several racks for this use, which we found to be sufficient enough.

Amazing condition. Excellent job of reno on historic property. Nice parking in sheltered area on back of property. Nice yard. Nice kitchen. Love coffee beans and grinder provided.

We were very central with a comfortable place to stay with all facilities were well maintained and plentiful. 2 great nights in a lovely quirky flat, and fun town. Staff very responsive , thank you Maria

We have nothing to be negative about, but do follow the "drive to" instructions as that takes you to the free parking.

Great place to consider as a base for exploring Nelson and the beauty of nearby Provincial Parks

Location is great for wandering into town with plenty of good restaurants nearby. Host (Maria) is the best part of the stay as she gave great recommendations for hikes and places to eat. Room has air conditioning and the small kitchen worked for our needs.

Valhalla Room was spacious and comfortable but there are a few low angled ceilings for tall people (like me) to keep in mind.

charming Nelson!

Cozy well equipped studio apartment, everything you need right on the edge of the downtown. It was quiet, the owner provided excellent information and made herself available if we needed anything, perfect- we enjoyed our stay!

No complaints, but for anyone with mobility issues, there are exterior stairs to access the upstairs apartment…. (stay in a lower unit!)

Nicely decorated, great furnishings. Very comfortable. Excellent location, walkable to downtown.

Dental office above, was noisy with all the walking and dragging stuff along the floor, but was mostly during the day, started at 7:30 am. Can't be helped though, it was a business. Except Thurs evening, must have been the cleaners.

Fabulous apartment close to town but in peaceful setting

Great apartment within easy walking distance of the town. It was spotless, well equipped kitchen, great bath/shower room and comfy bed. Liked the artistic flair and cosy colours. Communication was great. Very clear and explicit instructions for gaining access.

clean, well appointed and downtown Nelson a short hop

second time we have stayed here. love the grd floor apartment, we have lots of luggage. exceptionally well appointed, Maria caters for your every need in this condo. exceptionally clean. wonderful welcome chocolates.

we had trouble getting the underfloor heating to work? so it was cold for the first night. Maria sorted this straight away. we would not hesitate in staying here again.

MISTISO'S is a wonderful getaway!

This is a nice location that is near a grocery store and restaurants. Nelson is known as a very active city that is great for walking. Mistiso's is only a 5 min walk to the beautiful lakefront.
