We booked with a view and balcony but they didn’t tell you, you can’t access the balcony so be careful booking this hotel they locked the balcony and your paying same price over $400!!

We had a balcony view only but couldn’t access the balcony, no space to sunbathe in the hotel area. Inside the hotel is nice but not worth the price we paid. Definitely not coming back.

Great location. Beautiful old style building with long history Beer garden on the beach is wonderful Bed was great Piano bar in foyer was awesome

The chairs in the beer garden were uncomfortable and very noisy when moved. Not enough places to dine near the beach and th beach bar itself feels tired and in need of an update

Nice location, very friendly staff. The hotel courtyard is very pretty. We ate at the bar and the food was great. The property is historic, so the floor is a bit lumpy but this was charming. Loved learning about the hotel’s history. Overall, we had a great time!

A small dislike was that the bathroom lights were not very bright. Hard to put on makeup or see how clean things are when the lights are dim…

The staff was the best thing at this hotel, the beach team and the bar team were lovely, Lee in particular is an asset to your team! Location is 5 stars and to be in such an historical, charming place in the middle of concrete Waikiki was great.

The property is gorgeous albeit a bit dated and tired and needing some serious renovation. We stayed in the Tower and could not use our seaview balcony due to structural works (which we knew when booking). The most disappointing thing was the beach/pool arrangement which was a bit wild to say the least. We had to queue early in the mornings to secure a place for the next day. They have extra charges on the beach chairs and umbrellas (only 8 available) and even on the little portable chairs to use on the beach, at least this service should be free to your clients. Free Poolside chairs were taken with beach towels at 5.00am with people not showing up for hours. Poolside umbrellas were not enough and the majority of the chairs were in the sun all day. We had to pay an additional $100+ a day just to have some peace and quiet with the umbrella and chairs. We ended up driving somewhere else and enjoying the island instead, but in would have been nice to have the option to stay at the hotel during the day too.

The location, the staff, the life, the food, the ambience, the hospitality! It was an exceptional experience!!

Our bathroom was a bit outdated but other than that - everything was exceptional! The cabanas looked underwhelming and I highly recommend renting chairs and an umbrella from the beach group (green umbrellas), as the beach umbrellas thru the hotel were super limited and were far back from the water (lots of people in front of you).
