Inferior Property

The staff people were fine; they were the best part of the stay. The downside of Hampton Inn in general, nowadays, is that housekeeping has been reduced to every other day, allegedly because of "Covid" from 3 years ago. My own opinion is that it has more to do with Hampton Inn saving money and adding profit by reducing housekeeping staff.

The entire hotel was under renovation and it is expected to continue and October or November 2024, so beware! All 5 days of my stay, the contractors had blocked off approximately half of the parking in and around the hotel, which shares the lot with several other businesses. On my arrival, after traveling for 12 hours, the contractors were using jackhammers on the roof which reverberated throughout the entire metal frame of the building. Then, they moved onto painting the exterior, blocking even more parking spaces over a busy weekend. The rooms were tired and worn. Bottom line, this hotel should have been closed during the entire renovation.

We had a great and wonderful time.

My family and I enjoyed everything about the property. The location was perfect for everything we were doing during the stay. The staff were fantastic and very personable.

Very nice stay

The pool was very clean, check in was great , staff was awesome as always!

I found some used woman products in the smaller room we rented on the floor. The 2 queen suite room usually comes.with silverware, glasses and.plates, there were none of that in the kitchen this time..but overall a great stay.

Nice hotel.

The pool area was beautiful! Warm and very inviting environment. Also liked the entrance right off the elevator, very convenient. Staff was wonderful, super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good.

We used the couch pull out bed for my step son to sleep on, when we pulled it out we found (what I think was) pistachio shells and dryer sheets and other small pieces of trash under the couch. Price was a tad steep.

It wasn’t very clean, our one bed had a huge yellow stain on the mattress, the breakfast was subpar at best, and for $200 per night, we expected more.

As exp3cted with room, disappointed in breakfast.

Breakfast was very busy, too many people in a small area, could not really make waffles to eat. I would have preferred more fruit choice, only apples were offered, and perhaps hard boiled eggs. Toaster was being used constantly. Basically had a pre prepared muffin. Disappointed in breakfast.

Highly recommend! Friendly staff, clean, and comfortable.

The hotel staff were absolutely friendly! Always makes it a much more pleasant experience! The location has a pool and hot tub. We did not know about the hot tub and was disappointed as we would have taken advantage of it but we were wore out by the time we got back to our room. Very clean! Breakfast was a nice spread! Highly recommend!

My main concern was the room and my night's sleep and I can't say a bad thing about it!!

The bed was AWESOME!!!! It was SO comfy and cozy! We all had a wonderful night sleep!!

The eggs were not the best and there was no oil spray for the waffle maker so all the waffles were sticking to the iron, kind of a mess.

Excellent experience and plan to stay there everytime we visit Altoona.

Everything was great, especially Victoria, who helped us out in an emergency with rooms. It was a busy weekend there with a lot of guests, but everthing went smoothly. Breakfast was good, beds were comfortable and there were many places to eat close by.

Wonderful Stay

Cheryl at the front desk is wonderful!She is very helpful and friendly. The pool was nice and clean.

The rooms are a little outdated. Do they not put a Bible in the rooms anymore? The room was dry, and needed some moisture in the air.

Not bad overall. Nice staff, decent room, but a few details need to be addressed.

Just had coffee.

There was a hair on the bed under the comforter. Staff corrected the issue by changing the bedding. The bathroom sink was cracked. Not a big issue, but it brings building maintenance into question. The room temperature was never consistent. It was either too hot or too cold. The heater kept turning on and off and did not properly regulate the temperature.
