Overall it was a great place and easily accessible and affordable for the view.

Wonderful view and very clean. Great place to stay nice and roomy and cozy.

I’m only rating it a 9 because we had ZERO hot water for our shower. Though no fault to the staff this was a big issue for us as we stayed for a wedding and needed to clean up for that event. My only other complaints were the view of the canal was great but the windows were so extremely dirty we could hardly see out of the smudges on the glass. I would have expected that to be clean often.

Location! Literally close enough to everything.

We did have to get a new room when we first got there because of a leak and ceiling damage. But it was quickly handled without issues!

The stay was good, Awesome location. Would stay here again. Please fix the leak in room 105.

The breakfast was good. Great location. The staff was very nice.

The air conditioner leaked Into the living room and ned room. We had a book bag on the floor in the bed room that got wet. We had paper shopping bags in the living room that got wet. I told the young man at the front desk when I check out. That needs to be fixed. We had wet items.

Caution

To the eye visually appealing inside room, expect the floor and shower floor.

Bedbug bite after room was heated from a 66° initial room temperature. Felt like there were things crawling on me as room heated up. Then felt bite red bump on my calf. I spent most of my time in my vehicle until i decided to check out at 12:50 a.m. at front desk. I was asked by desk employee did i want the the check out time to say 5:00 a.m. i stated no, check me out now. I told the desk employee, I was bitten and i felt like i was being crawled on, employee shrugged it off. I recieve my bill by email. It stated i checked out at 5:00 a.m. and i was charged for a full stay on my bill. I called hotel to speak with a manager and was told: Even if you check out early you are charged for a full day. I told this manager about my experience and she said they would call pest control, but no patial refund What i didn't tell manager is i have video of my bite and the room.

Welcoming And Friendly

I was allowed to check in early. My suite was clean. It was a mini apartment. When you walk in look up at the tv in the sitting room/living room. There's a personalized message welcoming you to the suite. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was actually hot and delicious.

The people over me stomping on the floor which I'm aware isn't their fault. I think it must be a universal feature of all hotels that sometime during the night the air goes off. I went to sleep freezing. I woke up sweating and kicking off the covers.

Nice place, but dont ever sleep on their sofa bed.

We slept on the sofa bed. It was without a doubt the worse bed I ever slept on. The mattress and or springs felt like we were slipping into a hole. In addition it was lumpy and extremely uncomfortable. We thought about sleeping on the floor!

A very large party was going on all night, Loud and dirty. There were no utensils in the kitchen

We were only there for 3 days and 2 nights and I didn’t realize the price was higher the 2nd nite

The breakfast was okay as well as the location

Pool was closed the 1st day of our stay and it reopened the next day but the chlorine was so strong we couldn’t stay in the pool.

We chose Inn b/c it is so very close to Ind Univ Health and we had appointments. Loved sunset over canal! Breakfast offered wide variety & lovely seating overlooking canal.

First the location. Breakfast was OK but not great, The African American gentlemen who greeted us at the lobby is a huge asset to your hotel. He was most helpful as Booking.com screwed up the booking I just don't understand why they would call themselves Boioking.com when they cant even get that right. What they did was reverse my first and last name and so the hotel could not find our booking. This caused us a 30 minute delay in checking in. However the gentleman was tying hard as possible to fix the situation.

Just one thing. Please get better coffee in the rooms. The coffee there tasted like swamp water.

We have stayed at Residence Inn Canal Indy before and we will return again.

Weekend breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A minor maintenance issue was corrected immediately by the maintenance tech.

Monday morning breakfast was weak. Bacon was greasy and limp.

I liked the location.

The building is old, kind of creepy in a sense. I was double charged at the property. I booked through booking however the hotel did not acknowledge . I ended up having another charge from the property as well as booking.com which is not cool

Wide open room, with all necessary amenities.

Hotel had no Wi-Fi for 2 days. I did not need my heater or AC in my room, so I turned it completely off (room 210). Yet there was a loud motor running sound within the walls 24/7. I had to utilize ear plugs in order to fall asleep.

Overall great stay

Everything was very clean, nice rooms with all the necessities, location-so many places within walking distance, TV-I like that you can log in to Netflix or Amazon and have more to watch than a few cable stations.

Breakfast-or lack thereof. Saturday about 30 before posted ending time they were out of everything but cereal and a couple biscuits. Several people asking the kitchen workers about refilling and were told no.
