The excellent staff made up for the room and property's short comings.

The staff was exceptional. Jennifer checked us in. Signed me up for Bonvoy, saved me some money and earned points for my stay. Matthew, the manager on duty for our stay was great. He helped with our luggage and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Seme, the breakfast attendant was so helpful and made us feel welcome. Chris, Shirl also worked the front desk and were all helpful. Our room had 2 bedrooms (queen beds), 2 bathrooms, a sofa bed in the LR and a full kitchen. Great space, at a reasonable price.

The facilities are a little old. Many of the outlets were so worn, our multiple plugs and charges would not stay plugged in. The pool was out of order during a weekend in late July! We had a fire alarm go off at appx. 1AM, our first night there. We evacuated and had to wait about 30 minutes, until the fire dept left. I'm hoping to get some bonus Bonvoy points, due to the issues we experienced, but none have been applied, yet.

Not what I expected from a Marriot hotel chain!

I did like the full kitchen and that the suite had a door to the bedroom

I didn't like the set up, the bathroom area was inside of the bedroom. It kind of defeats the purpose of privacy, etc...if the guest using the sofa has to come into the bedroom during the middle of the night. There were roaches crawling on the kitchen counter...gross! The bed is hard and uncomfortable. Also upon my arrival the sofa had no cushion covers on them. Lastly, there were no towels, washcloths, or trash can in the room and when I called down to get some they said rudely stated that we needed to come and get them from the front desk.

Will never return

Nothing. It was dirty with roaches on the room

Very unprofessional. I only was there for a one night stay. When I booked it was for 2 children and 2 adults. The point of me getting a 2 bedroom suite was because of this. I get there after a long day and travel to be told they did not have any 2 bedroom suites and gave us 2 one bedroom suites. There was no where else to stay and I felt very uncomfortable with leaving two 12 year olds by themselves so I stayed in the room with them while my husband slept in the room by himself. I have never had this happen and will never ever return here or any residence inn for that matter. I will also make sure to tell family and friends to never stay there

Bed Bugs!!!....enough said

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good.

We stayed for a state basketball game and that is were my family and our cheerleaders stayed. 2 of the rooms that our cheerleaders stayed in had beg bugs and they had to move to other rooms that we had rented. The manager gave the money back for the 2 rooms but the girls didn't get any rest that weekend. As far as the staff and breakfast it was great but I would not recommend staying here.

I booked my room to be in the the same hotel as my daughter who was staying with her cheer team for the state basketball tournament. She had end up staying in our room because her room was infested with bed bugs!!

Stay was 1 to 2 star hotel quality versus the usual elite status of most Marriott Residence Inn.

Location great central to short pump and Glen Allen!

Room smelled of dog pee and very odiferous! Also reserved and ordered a queen bed assigned full! Entire hallway reeked with the dog pea smell as soon as exited elevator.

Don’t Stay Here!

the location.

The facility was dirty and staff isn’t Knowledgeable of their rules. I arrived later than expected. Front desk receptionist, said i would only be charged for one night. The next morning, I was charged for the entire weekend. I tried to get it fixed, the staff was rude.The rooms were dirty. shower was dirty, no clean towels, no soap, floors a mess, no trash can.

I was charged twice for my room, even though I showed them that I had already paid through booking.com. Then it took me two days to have the charge removed. Also, elevators very slow and only two.

Don’t do it!

I liked the location.

I didn’t like that there was dog hair on the furniture. They had no hot water and standing water in the sink. The manager was cooperative but the other stuff was rude once I complained about these issues. I had to find another hotel at 10pm at night and struggled to get a refund.

I had a King Suite and the room came with one remote; the temperature of the water never got hot.

nice place. Sofa bed stay away from them

I loved the 2 separate bedrooms. The kitchen here is a full kitchen with a regular sized refrigerator. The decor of the room was beautiful as well. And 2 full bathrooms......

so we had 5 ppl and the pull out sofa bed needed to be used.. When we saw the sofa it was sunk in on one side. When we tried to pull it out the frame was really messed up and it wouldn't sit right. Needless to say but we had too make a palate on the floor. Also the mattress in there looked like it had 2 urination stains on it that had never been cleaned. Nasty. Please start checking the sofas I'm sure its more here broken with nasty stains in them.

The layout of the room was great. I had ample space to work and not feel restricted. Kitchen area was nice and the standard size fridge is always appreciated over the mini. Hotel was in a good location. Property was quiet and well maintained.

Exceptional

Clean. People are great. We go to Richmond for dr appointments and, even though there are closer hotels to the hospital, we stay here every time! Love it! Cautious during the pandemic, but warm and welcoming also. Extra towels on the bed as requested, no problem. Will be back.
