Lovely accommodations with most of the amenities we like, except an elevator & an employee w/a brain

The first place that we stayed in Lincoln, 35 years ago, was what is now the South Mountain Resort. Back then I believe it was called the Mill House Inn. The improvements made to it over the past few decades are wonderful. The room was very accommodating and up to date with modern amenities, kitchen, patio seating with atrium doors in the living room and bedroom.

Nice flat screen TV's but veritably no channels from which to choose. I mean there were 20 or so channels out of what is customarily several times as many, but I was not going to watch the Spanish channels or the 700 club. Very weird ?fake? fireplace. Nothing but fake, colored logs with red tape that would reflect the light from the ceiling fixture to pretend to flicker. Also didn't like that the elevator was out due to a 6-week remodeling and there were no employees to assist getting luggage down the 15 steps from the lobby to the level 1 rooms. Nor did the front desk employee indicate to me that there was another entrance that would reduce the steps to just 4 or 5 even when he watched me roll the luggage cart out the lobby door and then right back past the front desk coming in fully loaded. He joked about it, and I joked back that I would simply roll it down the stairs. He may have grown a brain if I actually did roll it down the stairs, but there was no guarantee of that either.

The facility is a time share, so beware of the people that are pushing the limits of buying.

Very good

Very comfortable room. Well appointed kitchen. Right in the center of town. Can walk to restaurants, grocery store and movie theatre. Nice pool and exercise room.

Didn’t like that you had to speak with the time share guy in order to get my parking pass. He wouldn’t take no for an answer - to the point he wanted to follow me out to my car in order to convince the rest of the family to sign up for a timeshare presentation. Kept upping the incentives until we said yes - just so we could get our parking pass.

Very large one bedroom suite , lovely comfortable bed, super clean pool and hot tub. We asked for a top room and got it ! They had a problem after a power failure, one lamp didn,t work. That was fixed within the day. Well done . Delicious lobby coffee machine .
