dated felt unclean shower was awful smelt like smoke could tell a dog had stayed there towels had a foul smell tried to explain we weren't happy as polity as possible but the place just wasn't up to standard and no help or alternative offered so we left a night / day early however still charged 2 nights even though we left early

Quaint and charming

Sweet little property located in the Carmel valley area. Property is certainly old fashioned in its nature but as long as you are expecting this it is truly charming. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room was lovely with some quaint features such as the fire effect heater and a lovely sitting area.

We needed to contact them rather urgently despite trying to contact them more than 20 separate times we could not get them to answer the phone once. This was very disappointing and made our arrival more stressed than it should have been. Breakfast was a strange affair with paper plates and being instructed that we were allowed one cup of coffee and one pastry item.

The fireplace was nice to have and warmed up the room significantly.

Parking lot is small. Unable to pull out without hitting planter boxes or trees. Easy to pull in, difficult to pull out.

Superb

breakfast was nice, the room was very clean and comfortable. They also lighted the outdoor fire-pit which was nice at night. Good location within walking distance of good restaurants. The owner and staff were very nice and accommodating. We were pretty lucky to have the place to ourselves since it wasn't a busy time of year.

hot tub wasn't available - but it was damaged from previous storms - it happens...

enjoyed relaxing by the pool and near by walking trails was a plus.

Such friendly staff and amazing pool. This is the place to retreat to and bring your dog. Plus, there are walking trails near by too!

Carmel was lovely, the room at this hotel not so much!

A bit rustic; highly recommended.

well laid out and well located. Pool is great! The complementary breakfast is outstanding. The staff goes out of its way to ensure you feel welcome and pampered.

The elitist in me was tempted to critique the construction of the units. They are not a carpenter’s delight; some of the doors don’t quite fit the frames, just for example; the walls offer little soundproofing, for another.
