Si je dois revenir à San Diego c’est ici que je viendrai !!

Hôtel très propre avec piscine et barbecue à dispo ouverte de 7h00 à 22h00, super petit déjeuner copieux jusqu’à 10h. Le personnel est au top, les chambres spacieuses avec frigo et micro onde. Des machines à laver et sèche linge sont à dispo dans l’hôtel à bas coût.

La première impression quand on arrive sur les lieux est qu’on va dormir dans une zone industrielle mais une fois à l’intérieur c’est un petit coin de paradis. L’hôtel est près de tout et judicieusement placé pour les visites.

würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Grösse des Zimmers war super, alles sehr sauber, schöner Pool und sehr nettes Personal!!! Auch das Frühstück war für amerikanische Verhältnisse super!

Leider halten die Fenster und Türen den Lärm von draussen nicht ganz ab, uns hat dies aber nicht gross gestört!

Efficient location, quite and convenient

Location

experienced frequent issues with the room key card. Despite getting it replaced multiple times, the key card kept getting demagnetized or malfunctioning. This was quite inconvenient as it required several trips to the front desk to resolve. I recommend the hotel consider upgrading their key card system to reduce guest inconvenience.

Ansprechendes Motel

Lage nicht im Zentrum, aber guter Anschluss an den Highway und das Old Town in Fußreichweite. Beim Old Town gelangt man mit der Straßenbahn nach Downtown. Wir haben uns nie unsicher gefühlt auch nicht am späten Abend bei der Bahnstation Old Town. Betten sind bequem. Zwei Waschbecken sind praktisch. Frühstück für ein Motel angemessen.

Teilweise lauter Straßenverkehr, was aufgrund der Lage aber zu erwarten war. Darüber hinaus aber auch lautes Hupen der Züge.

Nice comfortable place.

Very nice looking, close to Old Town and trains. Easy access to freeways. Beds are excellent, sleep very well.

You can hear the trains, but you get used to it. Actually it did not interrupt our sleeping.

Wonderful facility

This was the third time I've stayed at Old Town Inn. It's a great value, clean and well maintained, with a friendly accommodating staff. I will be choosing to stay at Old Town Inn whenever I'm in the San Diego area!

Location was great

The staff was friendly and the room was nice. The best part for us was the location as it was within a 10 minute drive to both the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld.

The parking was a bit snug, especially since there were some big pickup trucks.

Short and Sweet to address our needs.

Breakfast was good and the staff let us use the room to warm up other meals, and we saw some people using it to play games. The small room was functional. The location was walking distance form the Old Town, and the staff very friendly and helpful/

Mistakes all around by hotel management really made stay a disaster.

Good breakfast. Friendly staff at check in and check out.

Planned water main repair by City of San Diego water utility meant water was shut off to the hotel property from 9PM to 6AM on the night we stayed there. Ugh. While it was obvious the hotel management knew of this planned utility maintenance, they did not tell us until I saw a sign on the front desk while checking in, saying water would be shut off. By now, it was too late to change our reservation. We would NOT have stayed at this hotel if we knew of this situation. If I hadn't asked the question (after reading the small sign) would they have informed me?! This meant we had to bring our entire party back to the hotel by 8PM to shower, brush teeth and use the toilets. (NO water would be available for anything for nine hours.) It effectively meant we were all in bed shortly after 9PM. That was not what younger adults of our party wanted to do. They live in Canada, had never visited San Diego before, so they wanted to stay out later. Wasn't happening after you brush your teeth! THEN, at 5:45AM, the complex's fire alarm system went off and stayed on for 25 minutes! ALL guests were awakened and stood around in parking lot, waiting for the lone night desk manager, who had no idea how to turn it off, struggling to find master switch for the ear-piercing fire alarm. In the parking lot, I talked to a City of San Diego maintenance worker who said this alarm is a safety precaution when water was turned back on. He said the alarm should not have stayed on, that the hotel owner/management should tell their staff where the master switch is. UGH. In other words, the management of this hotel shirked their duty to train the staff. They should have known this was procedure when water was turned on and off. VERY FRUSTRATING. The last straw - the hotel pool was advertised as heated. We CHOSE this hotel because of that. The six year old in our party, from Canada, wanted to swim on her California vacation and the pool was NOT heated.

Comfortable

I loved the clean room. The staff was gentle and prompt to support. It was close to Old Town San Diego historic park and it was actually quite quiet. I would recommend it and I surely would come back.

The breakfast could have options of cheese and ham.

Hidden gem close to Old Town

Quaint older comfy hotel with nice pool surrounded by lush tropical plants. Nice breakfast room with cereals, toast, yogurt, boiled eggs, waffle maker. 10 min walk to Old Town.

Rooms are smaller, outdated furniture, but good value, nice pool & convenient to public transit & Old Town.

Accueil agréable et personnel très sympathique. Nous avions réservé 3 nuits et comme c'était top nous avons passé une nuit de plus. En cette fin janvier 2024 la température extérieure de 24°nous a permis de profiter de la piscine .Motel très bien situé, à 5 mn à pied de Old Town city où il y a resto sympa, animations, shop. A 8mn en voiture de little Italie. Je recommande ce Motel.

Prévoir des bouchons d' oreilles car le train est tout près mais nous avons tout de même passé de bonnes nuits.

Affordable, accessible and highly recommended!

Friendly staffs. Complimentary breakfast with a waffle station. The room is a little dated but it’s clean. And unlike most hotels, the shower curtains in the bathroom doesn’t smell! I feel like most hotels doesn’t get this right (even the higher end ones) so I appreciate this tiny detail.

It’s pretty noisy due to the location. I had my ear plugs with me so that helped a fair bit.

we are very pleased with the overall service we received in this hotel. We will recommend to our family and friends . The staff were super nice a the hotel looks clean at all times. The breakfast were good but we would like to have some more options available.

Good Choice for Old Town

Very good 60's era motel upgraded over time and beautiful So Cal landscaping. Great general location- close/walkable to Old Town and freeway access. Rooms reasonable size, bathroom immaculately clean. Desk staff most helpful. Very clean breakfast room and good carb choices at breakfast. Pool was a surprise- small, intimate and NO ONE THERE! I loathe the noisy kid pool, and this was different at our stay.

The location is in the middle of freeways and industrial area as well as Old Town. A lot of highway noise outside, but with ac unit on, quiet enough inside. The breakfast was generous carbs of nice bagels, the pancake/waffle machine, pastries, but no protein except yogurt and hard boiled eggs.

The staff is lovely. Breakfast is good and provided for an extended period. The location is conveniently close to the old town and not so far from the city center. Thank you for the hosting!

It is worth noting that the motel is located close to a busy road and train tracks. Therefore, it’s advisable to remember to pack earplugs. Furthermore, I have a suggestion: it would be great if the motel could offer room options without carpets, especially considering its pet-friendly policy.

Old Town Inn is a quaint and comfortable hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Close to the transit station and Old Town. Close to the airport, SeaWorld and the zoo. Nice continental breakfast.

The hotel is off by itself. There are no surrounding hotels, restaurants or businesses. You have to cross a very wide and busy street to get to the transit station and Old Town.

Exceptional

The hotel room was spotless. Friendly staff made us feel like the most important guests! The pool was clean and heated. Breakfast, continental style, had perfect waffles. We felt right at home! I will only stay here in the future.
