We still like the place, we love Newport, so we will look into returning.

We didn’t have breakfast on-site. We did like the coffee and the room was nice again I was dismayed at an amenity fee that was never mentioned along with other fees. It seems like this is just another way to gain a dollar out of peoples pockets. This amenity fee wasn’t appreciated when there wasn’t any extra amenities. Also occupancy fee really.

Very well located but very expensive for what it is.

Nice hotel right in front of the harbor. Free parking lot in front of the hotel. Rception open 24/7. Classic but functional room. Very nice breakfast.

Very expensive for the room we had. Additional charges vs price on Booking.com and 100€ deposit which was not announced. Also very slow answer to messages.

Pleasant

In one of our rooms the ac broke and the maintenance team swiftly provided a new one Maintenance team was great Pool was great Location is great Everything else was subpar for the amount spent

One of the front desk staff during the day was incredibly rude when we arrived. Lauren I believe her name was Not a warm welcome at all. Our room smelled of gas and not any accommodations were made to remedy the situation.

location is fantastic and having parking readily available is great too for the location. Also loved the new outdoor bar area. All staff were very friendly (front desk, bartenders, parking security)

Our rooms felt not so clean. A dirty wash cloth was hanging in our shower from the previous guest (I assume). My friend found hairs in bed. Gross! Pool felt dirty. Our kids still played in it but I personally wouldn't have gone in it myself! Also wish the guest rooms had QUEEN sized beds, not double/full sized.

Exceptional

We loved everything about it! Location was perfect and definitely plan to return and stay longer. We were there on a road trip and wanted to stay longer, just perfect! Everyone was very friendly and we love it!

Newport break

Fantastic location on the waterfront. Close to main shopping street and the wharf with restaurants etc. The hotel breakfast was delicious and filling, and we ate both mornings out on the deck by the water. Newport is gorgeous. The cliff walk was amazing, beach at the cliff walk was lovely, and the Breakers was really interesting. There is a free bus around the island which is good to know.

The pool area definitely needed updated. A balcony would have been nice. No information on hotel facilities, eg, bikes or boating. There didn't seem to be a market or store anywhere to buy snacks or picnic foods.

For this money, we had a great hotel in New York, modern, comfortable, fully serviced and very clean

Bed was OK. Breakfast was good value

Rooms and facilities way out of date and no better than any motor inn. You can hear every conversation through the wall and people above you using the bathroom. Everything feels tired and worn from carpets to bedding and you are charging $800 for that, which is ridiculous. Then, you check out and there is another $140 on top including a $35 facility fee-for what, the room was not serviced, and everything else should be what hotels do! Bathrooms were very small and old with nowhere to even put your toiletries. Before checking out the room was stripped at 9-30 am when we popped down for breakfast and to drop items to the car. It was the only time we saw service

hard to get into parking lot. room was a bit worn. gal at the desk was almost unintelligible with her accent. might have been OK if I was in Paraguay but not in Newport. sorry if I’m not pc.

convenient to town.

I had requested a king size bed from the day I booked the room. when we arrived I was informed it was going to be an $80 up charge for a king size bed. That means to stay in a room for one night from 6:45 Pm- 11:00am check the next day was $371! That is an absurd amount to pay.

The facility was beautiful and the staff was all friendly and amazing.

It was a bit pricey. For what we paid o would have expected a little more such as complimentary breakfast or at least coffee!

i really love it there the cafe and big dining room to sit is very nice as well a great addition.

rates very high compared to where our friends stayed.

friendly staff, comfortable pillows and beds , very clean.

bathroom too small, soap dish too high in the shower (bumped my head)window screen was ripped and torn, windows very dirty so the water view was not as expected. can hear people in the next room talking and coughing. no not water for tea.

Newport Inn and Marina will be our go to spot on future trips to Rhode Island,

We had a harbor side room with a great view of the marina and surrounding area.The staff was exceptional.And my granddaughters had a great time in the pool

lack of information in room. no info on using television no menu in television. no info on what’s available in area for restaurants or entertainment.

While a good location, I was unimpressed with the room and facilities and thought it too expensive for what it was.

The rooms were ok. the beds were not comfortable and the mattresses were old. my daughter threw up and we had change the sheets. the mattress cover was not waterproof. That’s gross and unsanitary.

Never come back. Hotel needs upgrade and is looking old around the edges. Using Newport destination

Half water view.....Should have been total cause I paid for that.

Front desk people chained to what they were told to say. No option to make decisions. Kind of rude at times, to be honest.

Efficient but pricey

I really loved the central location and the friendliness of the staff. Gorgeous harbor view and the room was very clean and comfortable.

The room was pretty dated. The bed was comfortable but super low to the ground. And the tv was dated and did not have Netflix or any options besides live tv so hard to watch a movie and relax after a day of sightseeing. Pool felt warm but looked pretty dirty. 1 small black coffee and one small black tea came to $12.73. It was expensive for the off season.

The rooms were a bit dated. could use a little updating. my bed was kept up with a stack of wood. It wasn’t horrible but could have been replaced with a new frame.

Hotel or motel?

The location was excellent, and the receptionist at check in was pleasant.

This hotel felt like a motel in the interior. I was shockingly disappointed at the price point to see the outdated and unimpressive room amenities and features. It was also extremely loud. The sounds from the outside with a fire station nearby were annoying but not as bad as the guests. Housekeeping was also really loud in the mornings. There was nothing peaceful about sleeping here. The saltwater restaurant wasn’t very good either. The bed wasn’t super comfy. The bathroom was small. It didn’t have built in shampoo/conditioners which is 1) more economical but 2) but more chic. Finally, the parking is a damn mess. You pay $20 extra day for Wi-Fi, parking, and “free water + house drink at the salt water restaurant.” You have to buy one get one free for breakfast - don’t bother. If you’re over here go to Drift Coffee across the street for breakfast—it’s delightful and they have vegan/GF options. I would much rather stay at the Marriott down the street. Some other tips: used Eventbrite to get tickets to the dueling piano shoe across the street from the hotel and it was well worth it. Also, did a goat hike at Simmons Farm which is 15 minutes away and highly recommend that. Newport is a very cute/great city to visit, but this hotel wasn’t it.
