“Not worth the money”

only the view

- bathroom slippery - power trips - washing machine and dryer not working - water dripping in master bedroom and common area during rain - to much stairs and its too stiff - housekeeping not changing the towel even in weekdays - not every rooms equipped with AC

Nice old house. Poorly managed.

On all booking.com confirmations that I was send it said late check in is after 21:00 however on the day of arrival the person I was put in contact with said I must pay R350 if I want them to check us in after 18:00 and after lots of back and fourth and arguing then they only agreed. They said they changed their policy but it hasn’t been updated on booking.com or their website. Then no one pitched for check out so they say I must wait another 5 days to receive my R5000 deposit back even though on booking.com it says you will receive your deposit back on departure if all is in order. No one is interested in helping. Don’t recommend this place.

Gut gelegenes und ausgestattetes Haus in Camps Bay

Sehr schön gelegenes Haus. Freundlicher Empfang und täglicher Reinigungsservice. Die Anordnung der Zimmer ist gut, und ausreichend Bäder sind vorhanden. Das Haus verfügt über einen schönen Außenbereich mit Pool, Terrasse und Grillplatz sowie mehrere Balkons mit sehr schöner Sicht. Ausstattung prinzipiell gut.

Insgesamt ist die Parksituation nicht optimal. Stellflächen sind außerhalb vorhanden, aber mit größeren Autos nur beschränkt nutzbar. das Parken eines SUV oder Bakkie in der Garage ist etwas herausfordernd wegen des beschränkten Platzangebots. Die Ausstattung ist prinzipiell gut, allerdings sollten einige Posten in den Zimmern (Küche, Bäder, und Zimmer) bzw. im Poolbereich regelmäßig getauscht bzw. erneuert werden werden.

Everything was just perfect the views the rooms and most important the house itself what you see is what you get!!! Every penny spent was all worth it Thank you 2 the owners for allowing our family to share a space of their own :-) 😀 for me its worth 1000 🌟 🤩

Only thing that we didn't like was the miff smell of the bathrooms

Big enough to accommodate the entire family comfortably. The braai area excellent. The pool. The sitting area big enough.

The garage couldn’t accommodate the vehicle due to the storage compartment in there.

Super spacious, gorgeous views and definitely a luxurious stay! Would highly recommend!

Location was amazing and the views superb! The host was always in contact and the villa was super clean and spacious and was just like the photos! We loved it!

Very small things that could be improved upon ie the TV is better placed in the larger lounge; the shower door in the top bathroom doesn't close and the water pressure in the other bathroom on the top floor was weak. Some mirrors in the upper floor rooms would be great too for getting dressed and styling hair for instance. Just small areas for improvement that would make this place stellar.

Did not meet expectations and did the bare minimum.

The location

I purposely got a Villa near Camps Bay for my family to ensure that they had a luxury stay and for convenience. We were not informed before hand about the 2 sets of steep stair cases and we were not only travelling with elderly people , but a 4 year old too. The balcony was not safe, particularly in the bedroom next to the main bedroom. We were not informed about the fact that cleaning staff were not working that weekend and about timers on geysers and although we were given a false perception of the size of the home, one of our biggest issues was that the home was not updated, or at least no new paintwork. There were parts and paint work that was chipping away . The Villa was also not clean. Marks on the balcony floors that could’ve been mopped before we arrived . There was dirt and items like bandaids under the beds and sheets that weren’t put in neatly with stains on them. My first call to the host was to asked that the pool be covered and upon arrival not only was the pool not covered , but it had some dirt on account of the windy weather. I had to call once at the Villa to find out about things I should’ve been informed about beforehand. Load shedding, geyser settings, stairs, the electricity and the R250 we pay for late arrival or leaving the Villa early. The host was not thorough when giving information. A paint job, and clean decent furniture and surfaces and being forthcoming with the offering would have made all the difference. Just to try to meet the standard of the perception sold, this could’ve been done way before we arrived.

The property is needing some TLC. The hot water tap at the bath did not work . The Kitchen tap kept falling off. These should have been repaired before letting out the property. They are not new faults. Kitchen lacking a lot of basic essentials.

We had a Best Time of our Lives.

The surroundings and that it’s situated in one of the top rated Towns in Cape Town.

A day before checking out there was a break in on one of the bedrooms and they stole a Sissy Boy Back Pack… We were so scared and confused as to what exactly happened. We only saw evidence the next day in one of the Balcony… It was things that fell as the thief was jumping out with the bag. We did inform the host and he advise we go open a case unfortunately we couldn’t go to the police as our flight was 2 hours after checking out…

Nothing im afraid, i would not stay the night if left alone in that house.

The Villa is somewhat disjointed, and has too much glass on it. Never felt secure/ safe in that property even with the alarm on. An eary feeling i cannot describe on paper. Needs a lot of attention, and work to bring it to full potential. Air condition units were broken, could not warm up the room on a cold night. The TV was big, but wall mounts attached poorly such that the it was almost hanging facing down. The Location (Camps Bay) is the only thing going for this property.
