I wish I had brought my dog to this family and dog friendly welcoming property

friendly reception, dog and family friendly, community feel, well appointed kitchenette, easy access to a spectacular beach, next to a great fresh food market. nice room.

a tad far from town and it is a bit older, but basically fine

Second time we stayed here.

This was the second time staying at this hotel. We love it there. Right near Cannon Beach and next to a supermarket. Also a playground nearby when traveling with kids. When traveling with a pet, you get a dog welcome basket which is really nice. The hotel also has a heated pool and a hot tub. My little one loved it! We will return again, hopefully soon!

It's okay.

Good location, close to haystack rock and literally across the street from tolovana Park and the beach. The woman who I assume is the manager is great. Very warm and welcoming and very helpful.

The beds are too firm and while clean the space is a little small. Every other employee we encountered outside of the manager seemed like they had better things to do or places to be and it discouraged us from asking for anything.

The location is great. The park across the street and 2 close walking distance restaurants make it really convenient. The staff is wonderful. The maid service superb. The view is really good.

You have to carry all your luggage up and down the steep stairs. If you have knee, hip or any medical problems this not for you. No elevator. It's exhausting as we were on the third floor.

a very comfortable stay with gracious staff and nice coastal location.

very comfortable conveniently near a few restaurants and grocery store and a beach park across the street. very accommodating for families with pets. I hadn’t realized there was a pool and jacuzzi when we booked so that was an extra surprise! and to go above and beyond, when we accidentally left behind a jacket, the staff promptly called and graciously went to the effort to mail it back to us. highly recommend!!

Seems louder than most hotels. Cleaning staff is VERY loud when they clean. Slamming doors, banging things against the walls and such. LARGE, constantly wet spot on the floor.

Exceptional

The location was great. Although 2 miles from town, it was across the street from a park which led to beach access. You could see the waves coming in to shore from your window. And the room had a wonderful gas fireplace that was nice to cozy up to after a walk on the beach on a windy day.

Great view, enjoyed the hot tub, view, location. All was wonderful!

It'd be nice to have a drying rack we could put in front of the fireplace to help dry our wet clothes and boots.

Cozy Hospitality

The reservation could have been completely ruined if the staff was not on the ball. Booking.com did not send date changes to the property so they had to scramble. The spa whirlpool is most excellent and the room is very comfortable . Wifi is good and the TV has many channels Perfect location to explore North Oregon. Thanks!

I suggest booking directly with the property. Booking.com does not give them important information and you will not have to worry about the accommodation.

Well maintained property with a great location

The room is very clean and the balcony is a nice touch. The beach is right across the street and there is a pub next door.The spa is very clean and outstanding with plenty of clean towels. The location is perfect for exploring the North Oregon coast.

There is no elevator, so if walking stairs is a deal breaker, ask for a street level room. The wifi is weak, althought there are many tv channels

Clean and good value, near the beach, short drive North to restaurants, etc.

Lots of amenities (Stove, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, TV), although we did not use these. Did use the hair dryer which worked well. And the shower worked very well! Shampoo etc. in wall disp's.

Night stand on only one side of the bed. Not enough plugs: only 1 shared with coffee maker and 1 shared with hairdryer. The latter plug was loose and needs replacement, but it worked.

A great affordable, comfortable, clean place to stay.

An affordable spot at the south end of Cannon Beach. It's not directly on the ocean, but the rooms have a view of the sea, and the sand is a one-minute walk away. There is a small indoor pool and hottub, both of which were immaculate and comfortable.

Not much, the place was as-advertised.

We will stay again, but make sure we get an upstairs accommodation.

The proximity to the ocean, the cleanliness and very nice staff.

We have stayed at this property many times. We have never stayed in the bottom floor. We didn’t like the bottom floor. when we asked to be moved to a higher floor, we were told that we would have to pay $300 more. so, we chose to keep put. the room was very, very small and difficult to move around. very basic room. The chairs on the deck were in very bad shape. I was afraid they would brake when I sat in them. the room, however was very clean and we appreciated this. The staff were extremely nice and we appreciated this too.

Everything was good during my last visit. Always enjoy staying at The Wayside.

I have been staying at The Wayside for years. The rooms are always clean. They cater to our furry family members. The staff remembers who we are everytime. There's never been a stay there that there was any problems with checking in or with the room.

The mattress in the usual room I stay in is getting a bit tired. Would love to have a more comfortable bed for my next stay
